Mrs. Charlotte Evelyn McCusker, age 64, of 271 Sims Ave., Callaway, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at her home. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of the area. Mrs. McCusker was a member of the Callaway Assembly of God Church, Auxiliary President of the East Side Camp of the Gideons, and a member of the Bosom Buddies of the American Cancer Society. She was also nominated for the Jefferson Award. Mrs. McCusker was a devoted wife for 48 years, a mother, and grandmother. She was survived by her husband of 48 years, James R. McCusker of Callaway; daughters, Diana Schwoerer and her husband Ed of Callaway and Pamelia McCusker of Callaway; a son, Randy McCusker and his wife Tina of Callaway; mother, Essie Robbins Lee of Bayou George; grandchildren: Joshua and Jennifer Schwoerer, James Marshall, and Jessica McCusker; sisters: Myra Elliott and her husband Karl and Teresa Jensen and her husband Gene, all of Panama City; brothers: David Robbins and his wife Doris of Lynn Haven, Jack Robbins and his wife Peggy of Fountain, and Joe Robbins and his wife Patsy of Springfield, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, William Benson Robbins; and a brother, Larry Robbins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Feb. 9 at Callaway Assembly of God with the Rev. Bobby Thompson, and the Rev. Wiley T. Davis. Interment will follow at Callaway Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Lingerfelt, and Danny Venkler. Honorary pallbearers will include: Gideons, and Auxiliary of the Gideons Eastside Camp, and members of the Senior Class of Callaway Assembly of God. On Sunday Feb. 6, 2000, Mary Carroll Mirizio of 2601 Ferol Lane, Lynn Haven, found peace and began her journey to be with our Lord. All who knew her well will feel a deep sense of loss at her passing, but her extraordinary kindness, strength, courage and faith will be with us forever. She followed her beloved husband of 27 years, Stephen Michael Mirizio. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother to her son Thomas and Nora Mirizio and their children Celeste and BethMary of LeRoy, Minn.; her daughter, Frances and Todd Olds and their son Emmett of Palm Harbor, Fla.; her daughter, Rosemary and Craig Cazenave and their daughters Jennifer and Danielle of Lynn Haven, Fla.; her daughter, Stephanie Scarborough and her daughter Cody of Winter Park, Fla.; her son, Stephen Mirizio and his children Rachelle and Stephan of Winter Park, Fla.; her son, Vincent and Betsy Mirizio of Jacksonville, Fla., and her son Joseph Mirizio of Orlando, Fla. Mary was a loving sister to her brothers, John and William Carroll, and her sisters Johanna, Lisa and Roseanne Carroll, all of whom reside in California. She adored her extended family including: Fred and May Cazenave, Rick Blandin, Frank Scarborough, Deborah Tucker, as well as Jane Keller, Jane Sapoznikoff, Teresa and Teri Powell, Terry Sistrunk, Helen Gregor, Diana Roberts, Nancy Vitti, Joe Burleson, RN., Lori Lascivita, RN., and Nancy Ackerman, RN. Mary was a native of New York and moved to Winter Park, Fla. in 1972. In 1989, she moved to Lynn Haven where she spent the past eleven years living with her daughter Rosemary "Rose" Cazenave and her family. Mary dedicated the remaining years of her life helping Rose with her physically challenged granddaughter, Danielle and her sister, Jennifer. She was a member of Palo Alto Church of Christ and saw only the good in everyone she knew. She never let obstacles stand in her way; saying "If there's a will, there's a way". Come celebrate her life in a memorial service which will be held at Palo Alto Church of Christ on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m. Her friend and minister, Don McBrayer, will conduct services. We invite all who loved her, and were touched by her life to attend the service and afterwards joining the family for lunch at the church.

Curtis Newton Olive, 85, of Tallahassee died Monday in Tallahasee. A native of Bascom, Fla., he was a longtime resident of Tallahassee and Panama City. Mr. Olive was a retired Division Manager for Standard Oil of Kentucky and was also a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Gray Memorial United Methodist Church in Tallahassee and Panama City First Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer, a member of Panama City Country Club and Havana CC, a semi-professional basketball player and was active with little league baseball. He is survived by one son, Andy Olive of Tallahassee; two daughters, Peggy Akin of Destin and Doris Dunlap of Tallahassee; two sisters, Ann Ruth Riddle of Greenville, S.C. and Louise Floyd of Union, S.D.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, Feb. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. EST in Bevis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. graveside with burial in Tallahasee Memory Gardens. Mr. Willie Rogers, 75, of 4135 Cherry Lane, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, in Bay Medical Center. He was a native of Elba, Ala., but had been a longtime resident of Panama City, Fla. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Tyndall AFB after 29 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Lomax Rogers; mother, Mary Wims; sister, Onnie Bell Daniels, and brothers Ozie, McArthur and Larry Rogers. Mrs. Ruby K. Anderson, age 89, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000 at Bay Crest Nursing Center. She has been a resident of the area since 1932, coming here from Geneva County, Ala., and was Baptist by faith. She had been employed by Bay Medical Center. Jack C. Featherstone, 59, of Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000 in North Florida Community Hospital. He had been a resident of Bay County since 1969 moving here from Tennessee. He owned and operated the Jack Featherstone Insurance Agency for 30 years. He was a member of the BPOE Elks Club, National Life Underwriters, Chamber of Commerce and former member of the military Affairs Committee. He helped establish the G.W. Hobbs Scholarship Fund. He served on the Bay Medical Center Foundation and the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes. He was Baptist by faith. He is survived by his wife, Doris Featherstone of Panama City, Fla.; brother, Charles Henry Featherstone of Giles County, Tenn., sister, Betty Joyce Munczenski of Mentor, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
