The services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church in Tallahassee with burial at Oakland Cemetery

Colonel James Roy Shelnut, 72, of Lynn Haven, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 in a local hospital, will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Layne officiating with full military rites conducted after the service. Mrs. Bertha A. Hershey, 84, of Lynn Haven died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 in a local hospital. A visitation will be held Monday evening, Jan. 31, 2000 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Smith-Southerland Funeral Home in Lynn Haven. Mrs. Hershey will be sent back to Roslyn, Pa., for burial.

Vaughn Neves, 81, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Friday, January 28, 2000 in his home. He had been a resident of Bay County since 1956 moving here from Tallahassee, Fla. After moving to Panama City he bought the Barq's Bottling Company on 6th St. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie James Neves. He is survived by three sons: Richard Neves and his wife, Mary Sue, Robert Neves and his wife, Janice, all of Lynn Haven, James Donald Neves of Shelby, Ala.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Santana Gosa of Camden, Ark., Mayflower Brazzel of Shreveport, La.; and a brother, Prince Neves of St.Louis, Mo. He would like to say goodbye to special friends, Jimmy Williams of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Joyce Marston of Tallahassee, Fla. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dennis Pledger officiating. Mr. Tom Harper Sealy, 83, of 705 Red Bird St., Lynn Haven, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000 at his home. Mr. Sealy has been resident of Bay County since 1942 coming here from Webster County, Miss. He was self-employed and retired in 1993 at which time he bagan ministering to local nursing home residents. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven, and one of the founders and charter members of Westside Men's Club. Mr. Sealy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Lorene Sealy of Lynn Haven; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Bush and husband Michael of Panama City; two grandchildren, Gina Keen and Del Keen; three great-grandchildren: Jade Yarbrough, Kathryn Keen and Linda Emily Keen all of Panama City; a sister, Mrs. Grace Bowen of Webster County, Ala.; and a brother, Quentin Sealy of Webster County, Miss. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Burney Enzor officiating. Mr. Robert C. Vickers, 74, of 2705 E. 7th St., Panama City, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 at a local hospital. He has been a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of East Side Assembly of God. Mr. James Eugene Howard, age 77, of 2152 Briarwood Circle, Panama City, Fla., passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at his home. Mr. Howard has been a resident of Bay County since 1964 coming here from Fort Walton Beach, Fla. He served with the US Army in the Philippine Islands during World War II and, the Korean Conflict. He then re-enlisted with the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam Era. After retiring from the US Air Force in 1969, Mr. Howard began a career with the US Postal Services and retired in 1988. He was a member of the St. Andrew Baptist Church, a member of the Oakland Terrace Men's Club. Mr. Howard is survived by his wife, Mrs. Verna Howard of Panama City, Fla.; his sons: Mr. Michael Howard and wife Debra of Nampa, Idaho, Mr. Gary Harmon of Gulfport, Miss., Mr. Stephen Harmon and wife Mary of Montgomery, Ala., and Mr. David Harmon of Panama City, Fla.; a daughter: Mrs. Sandra Zurita of Panama City, Fla.; grandchildren: Erika and Brenna Harmon of Long Beach, Miss., Stephanie and Becky Harmon of Montgomery, Ala., Patrick Zurita of Panama City, Fla., Kinsey Howard of Nampa, Idaho, and David Carmichael of Boise, Idaho ; two brothers, Mr. James Howard of Berea, Ky., and Mr. Jesse Howard of Hazard, Ky.; four sisters: Mrs. Maxine Stiens, Mrs. Thurstine Appleby, and Mrs. Wilma Jean Young all of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Shirley Snowden of Cold Springs, Ky.
