Richard E. Foster, 54, of Ft. Myers died June 7, 2004. A 16 year resident, he was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Ft. Myers. Mr. Foster is survived by his wife: Helene G. Foster, daughter, Kate Foster Ryals (J.J.) of Lakeland, FL, son, Evan Foster (Melissa) of Ft. Myers, granddaughter: Reese Foster, and a brother, Michael Foster of St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
Memorial services will be held Friday June 11, at 3:00 PM at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2439 McGregor Blvd., Ft. Myers. Interment in Pennsylvania . The family would prefer memorial contributions to the Mission Fund at Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Dora (Scritchfield) Green wife of Frank B. Green and the late Thomas A. Scritchfield passed away June 6, 2004, she was born January 15, 1915 in Point Marion, PA.
Dora is survived by her children: Robert T. (Beverly) Scritchfield of Tennessee; David A. (Diane) Scritchfield of New York; William A. (Susan) Scritchfield of New York; Everett L. (Meri) Scritchfield of New York; Ronald E. (Carol) of N. Ft. Myers, FL; Nancy J. Scritchfield of N. Ft. Myers, FL; Judy A. Jessie of N. Ft. Myers, FL; Linda G. (Dwayne) Rogers of SC, and the late Russell E. Scritchfield and many grand and great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hope Hospice in her memory. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Ethel Hofmann, 82, of Ft. Myers Beach, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2004 at her home. She was born in New York City, NY and came to Ft. Myers Beach in 1955. She had a career in real estate until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of the Ft. Myers Beach Yacht Club.
Mrs. Hofmann is survived by a daughter, Janet L. Gulnac, Ft. Myers and a son, Richard Hofmann, Ft. Myers Beach; 2 grandchildren Michael Jon Gulnac, Ft. Myers and Tara Marie Hofmann, New Jersey. She was preceded by her husband Ernest in 2000 and a sister Leora Ulrich in 1968.
Funeral services will be held at the Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in the Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be directed to the family.

Agnes L. Leavitt, 96, of St. James City passed away June 6, 2004. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Lois Annette Mann 67 of Ft. Myers passed away June 7, 2004. She is survived by her sons Darrell and Gavin, her mother and father Albert and Velma Williams, brothers Duane, Gene, Buford and Bill Williams, sister Alice, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Lois was an employee of Winn Dixie for 47 years.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Elizabeth Anne 'Betty' Mackewich, beloved wife of Albert Mackewich, resident of Cape Coral, born Spring Lake, New Jersey July 16, 1931, passed away on June 7, 2004. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, her daughters Bonnie Powell and Elizabeth Castellano, son Brian Mackewich, and four grandchildren Alexis, Nicholas, Lindsay and Ashley.
A noted confectionery artist, Mrs. Mackewich helped bake and design the 41st Presidential Inaugural cake for George Herbert Walker Bush. The cake which grace the Kennedy Center celebration in 1990, has been present in part, at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington , D.C. She was also past President of the International Cake Exploration Society and was co-founder of the Confectionery Arts Guild.
Mrs. Mackewich is also survived by her devoted sister Mrs. Arlene Hankinson, a resident of Marlboro, New Jersey, where Mrs. Mackewich resided and raised her family, before retiring to Cape Coral.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted in the N. Ft. Myers Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, June 10, at 6:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6:30 PM.

Pauline 'Jackie Mac' McConnaughey, 89, passed away at Hope Hospice on June 8. Born July 24, 1914 in Hamilton, Texas . Jackie had been a resident at her beloved Riverwoods Plantation for 17 years, moving from West Carrollton, Ohio.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Donaldson and her loyal friend, Jan Schneider, along with numerous friends.
Jackie was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the National Cremation Society. The family would appreciate memorial gifts in Jackie Mac's memory to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.

Armand Alfred 'Papa' Nault, 89, of Ft. Myers, died June 6, 2004. Mr. Nault was a veteran of WWII serving in England and in France.
He is survived by his wife Catherine, his son Donald of Hayesville, NC, his daughter Linda Browning of Ft. Myers, his sisters Geneva Scott and Florida Scott of Punta Gorda, brother Robert Nault of Deland, grandchildren Donna Nault-Schuster (Eric), Kevin Nault, Tina Browning-Gordon (Brian), David Browning, great-grandchildren Alexa Browning, Brian Gordon II and Connor Gordon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Thursday June 10, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, with wake service at 7:00 PM on Wednesday June 9th at Anderson Funeral Home, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers. military Honors will be held at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Anderson Funeral Home of Ft. Myers.

Jeremy Randall Pearson, 23, of Cape Coral, FL died unexpectedly Sunday at Cape Coral Hospital. Jeremy was born October 9, 1980 in Mt. Clemens, MI. He was employed by Bank of America as a Senior Research Analyst.
He is survived by his wife, Matty Pearson; his parents, Roger and Judy Loy; 2 brothers, Roger Loy, Jr. and Aaron Loy; 4 sisters, Sara Pearson, Mary Schau, Tracy Lamp and Tiffany Wirth; his maternal grandmother, Nina Pinkerman and his paternal grandmother, Barbara Langowski. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2004 from 6-8 PM in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 10, 2004 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Donald Preiser officiating.

Betty Jane Ross 84, of N. Ft. Myers passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004. She was born January 15, 1920 in Terre Haute, IN. Mrs. Ross has resided here since 1998. Her husband Harold Ross preceded her in death on Feb. 5. 1995.
She is survived by 3 sons Donald (Carlena) Ross of Brighton, MI; Roger (Nancy) Ross of N. Ft. Myers and Fred (Judy) Ross of Alanson, MI; 5 grandsons Chris, Randy, Ben, Karl and Bruce Ross, 7 great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter, sisters Helen Parr of Dearborn, MI and Lucille (Al) Storms of Stuart, FL and her brother Ralph (Ruth) Lynn of Hendersonville, IN.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Macon, MI where Betty and Harold resided for 27 years. Betty was a loving wife and Mom and a friend to all. She will be missed by all those she has touched. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Edwill W. Schultz, Jr. 53, of Ft. Myers died Saturday, June 5, 2004. Born in Columbus, OH and formerly of Indianapolis, IN he had resided here for the past year. Ed was an active member of many hunting and fishing clubs.
Surviving are his wife Jane of Ft. Myers, daughter Emma Latty of Ft. Myers, parents Ed and Ann Schultz, brothers Jack and Robert, and sisters, Rhonda, Teri and Toni.
Service of Remembrance will be conducted Friday, June 11, 2004 at 4:00 PM at the Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive, with Pastor Walter Still, officiating. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to your favorite charity.

Dorothy E. Stewart, 72, of Tamarac, FL, formerly of Luray, VA and Ft. Myers died June 5, 2004 with her family at her side. She was born July 20, 1931 in Washington , D.C., the daughter of the late Dorothy Conway and Arnold Eden Scott.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, William Edward Stewart, Sr. She is survived by her 5 children; Dorothy Anne (Michael) Maier of Coral Springs, FL; William E. (Janie) Stewart, Jr. of Shenandoah, VA; John J. (Brenda) Stewart of Luray, VA; Barbara Eden Stewart of Tampa, FL; Mary Catherine (Thomas) Gluvna of Tamarac, FL; her sister Evelyn Scott Molinar; her brother Glassell (Becky) Scott; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Entombment to be held Wednesday, 1:00 PM at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Foundation, 5420 NW 33rd Ave., Suite 100, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33909 or American Heart Association.

Ruth C. Van Dam, 74, of Ft. Myers passed away June 6, 2004. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph, sons Donald (Laura) Edcius and Joseph Van Dam, Jr., daughters Jacquelyn (Anthony) Hill, Ruth Drozd and Debra Howey and 15 grandchildren. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Agnes 'Aggie' E. Van Pelt, 93, Ft. Myers, passed away Monday, June 7, 2004. She came to Ft. Myers from Glen Ellyn, IL in 1957 and was a well known and loved cashier for the Winn Dixie stores in Ft. Myers until her retirement in 1982.
She is survived by her loving family of a daughter Mary (Ron) Straley, Ft. Myers and a son, Phillip (Janet) Clouse, Ottawa, IL, 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many, many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, June 10, 2004, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with funeral services to be celebrated at the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
