Mr. George A. Redd, age 68, of 607 W. 11th St., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at a local hospital. He has been a resident of Panama City since 1972, coming here from Blountstown, Fla. Mr. Redd served his country as a pilot in the U.S. Army. He is survived by a son: George Stephen Redd of Lafayette, La.; a daughter: Karen Kim Morris of Panama City, Fla.; granddaughters: Ashley Jean Morris of Panama City, Fla., Meghan Elizabeth Redd of Lafayette, La.; a grandson: Jedidiah Redd of Panama City, Fla.; sisters: Doris Gayle of Callaway, Fla., Ruth Pennington, Winnie Powell and Gloria Jean Pennington, all of Springfield, Fla., Bobby Nell Marcum of Orlando, Fla., and Joan Roper of Panama City, Fla. Mr. Leo Lawrence Morrison, age 76, of 21624 Sunset Ave., Panama City Beach, Fla., died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at his residence. He has been a resident of Panama City Beach for 10 years, coming here from Muskegon, Mich. Mr. Morrison served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. During his life Mr. Morrison worked as a deputy sheriff, a police officer, a justice of the peace, an aircraft assembler and finally an auctioneer after retiring from the Teledyne Corp. He was involved in local politics in the Muskegon area, serving on the Jolman School Board and the Muskegon Township Zoning Board. Locally he was a member of the Pythagoras Masonic Lodge No. 358, the Scottish Rite, and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10555. He enjoyed boating and fishing, loved music and was an avid reader. He is survived by his wife of 32 years: Patsy Morrison of Panama City Beach, Fla.; a sister: Virginia Miller of Laporte, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter: Patricia Morrison. A memorial service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Floyd officiating. Mr. Wayman A. "Rod" Rodriguez, age 79, of 410 S. Viola Ave., Callaway, Fla., died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at his residence. Mr. Rodriguez had been a resident of this area for the past 15 years, coming here from Portland, Ore. Mr. Rodriguez served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II and received many commendations during his service. He was a retired truck driver and was Methodist by faith. Margaret Davis of Tallahassee, Fla., died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, in Tallahassee. She was a native of Sanford, N.C., and formerly of Panama City. Margaret was a retired nurse and of the Methodist faith. Mrs. McKinney was a member of First Baptist Church of Southport and a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace, Fla. She was survived by her daughter, Frances M. Mr. Daniel S. "Danny" Minkey, age 17, of 7581 Yellow Bluff Road, Callaway, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, as the result of an automobile accident. Danny was a senior at Rutherford High School where he was on the weight lifting team and the camera crew for the football team. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and loved to explore the outdoors with his friends in his truck they called "The Beast". Danny's parents, family and many friends describe him as loving, kind, respectful, and sensitive. Danny was a Boy Scout, made his own fishing lures, and loved animals. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. FRANK R. CLARK
Frank R. Clark, 92, of Panama City, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 20, 1907, in Augusta, Ga. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1928 with a degree in electrical engineering. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at Georgia Tech. After graduation, he went to work for the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey setting benchmarks in the Rocky Mountains. He then was employed by Western Electric for 37 years, where his major projects included communications for the DEW line and the SAGE air defense systems. He retired to Stuart, Fla., from Atlanta, Ga., in 1973 and later moved to Panama City in 1997. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Martha; and one son, Captain Frank R. Clark, USAF. He is survived by one daughter, Susan C. Lester and her husband, David of Panama City; four grandchildren: Frank R. Clark of Williamsburg, Va., John C. Lester and his wife, Kimberly of Gainesville, Fla., Margaret L. Williams and her husband, Daniel of Yorktown, Va., and David D. Lester and his wife, Shirley of Alexandria, Va.; and three great-granddaughters: Sarah and Abigail Williams of Yorktown, Va., Julia Lester of Gainesville, Fla., the Rev. Si Mathison officiating. Mrs. Vonnie Lee Crump, 83, of 14200 Bay Avenue, Panama City Beach, died Tuesday, Nov. 30 at her residence. Mrs. Crump had been a resident of Bay County since 1977 moving here from Hollywood, Fla. She was a homemaker and a member of Gulfview United Methodist Church where she was a very active member of United Methodist Women's Group. Mrs. Crump is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dwight A. Crump of Panama City Beach; one son, Gerald Crump of Sarasota, Fla.; one daughter, Marcia Small of Fort Walton Beach; and one grandchild, Tracee Lyn Crump of Sarasota, Fla. Funeral services for Mrs. Crump will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. in Gulfview United Methodist Church with Bro. Jim Fillingim officiating. Mr. Carley R. Daniel, age 85 of Bruce, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, in a Panama City hospital. Mr. Daniel was a native of Pulaski, Tenn. He was a resident of Bruce for the past sixteen years. He was a World War II Veteran and served for 30 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a warrant officer. He was also employed in Civil Service at Eglin AFB after his retirement from the U.S. Air Force. He was Methodist by faith and a member of the Bruce Methodist Church. Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine Pate Daniel of Bruce; son, Robert Alan Daniel of Mt.
