Mr. John Casey Parker, 72, of 21407 Pompano Ave., Panama City Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at his home. Mr. Parker had been a resident here for the past five years, moving from Talledega, Ala. He is survived by his wife Sherry Parker of Panama City Beach; son John W. Parker of Birmingham, Ala.; other children, Missy Butler and Gavin Sullivan of Panama City Beach; grandchildren, Chelsea and Laura Butler; other children; a brother and a sister. Mr. Parker was sent to Talledega for burial.

Mr. Hubert Franklin Hutchison Sr., age 76, of 220 9th St., Port St. Joe, Fla., passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at a nursing home. Mr. Hutchison had been a lifelong resident of this area and was of the Baptist faith. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hutchison is survived by his sons: Colin F. Hutchison and wife June of Wewahitchka, Fla., Claud A. Hutchison and wife Vera of Panama City, Fla., Hubert F. (Buck) Hutchison and wife Sue of Hiland Park, Fla., Skipper Hutchison and wife Carolyn of Southport, Fla., and Jimmy Ray Hutchison and wife Carman of Panama City, Fla.; his daughters: Ruth Ann Estes and Sybil Kilgore of Southport, Fla., and Edna Parrish of Pensacola, Fla.; 42 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Hutchison was preceded in death by his son Mack Hutchison. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Pettis officiating. Interment will follow at the Lynn Haven Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Mr. Hutchison's sons: Colin F. Hutchison, Claud A. Hutchison, Hubert F. (Buck) Hutchison, Skipper Hutchison, Jimmy Ray Hutchison, and for his father Mack Hutchison, his son Robo Hutchison; and the honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Hutchison's grandchildren. Leonard H. Lee, 85, of Panama City, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 3, 1914, and had been a resident of Panama City since 1973, moving here from Indianapolis, Ind. He was retired from Penn Central Railroad as Division Sales Manager after 32 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Panama City and was a former member of the Panama City Country Club and Gulf Coast Seniors Golf Association. He was lovingly married for 58 years to his wife, Frances Margaret Lee. Other survivors include his son: G.A. (Jerry) Lee of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters: Ruth Flynn of Sand, Ill., Virginia Bernhardt of Mesa, Ariz.; brother: Jesse Lee of Lubbock, Texas . Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Leonard Lee.

Mr. Leonard G. Witte, 81, of Panama City, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at his home. Born in Detroit, Mich., he moved here in 1968 from Michigan. He was a farmer by trade. Mr. Witte was the beloved husband of Glema Witte of Panama City, Fla. He is also survived by one stepson, Bill Wakeland of Los Angeles, Calif.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a special grandfather to his granddaughter, Tracy Pensel of Pennsylvania . Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Ronald Bernard "Brownie" Browne, age 51, of 932 Pelican Place, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1981, coming here from Lynn, Mass. Mr. Browne served his country in the U. S. Army Reserves and was Catholic by faith. He was the Director of Operations for Express Lane Convenience Stores and was also a member of the Panama City Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Browne is survived by his wife, Connie Browne of Panama City Beach, Fla; sons: Sean Browne and his wife Ericka of McKinney, Texas and William S. Browne of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Helen Shafer and her husband Leon of Arlington, Texas ; and two grandchildren: Alexander Browne and Colynn Browne. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Ronald Charles Browne and his parents,Bernard and Catherine Browne. Mr. Bennie Ransom, 85, of Panama City, Fla., and formerly of Gulfport, Miss., died Friday, Nov. 19 in Bay Medical Center in Panama City. He was a native of Gulfport, but had lived most of his life in Panama City. Bennie was a retired chef and a member of Central Baptist Church in Panama City. Memorialization will be by cremation. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Mr. Ransom is survived by his daughter, Christola Goodman of Panama City; ex son-in-law, Jerry L Goodman Sr. of Panama City; six grandchildren: Jerry J. "Boot" Goodman and Chris J. "C.J." Mrs. Mildred Pippin White, 73, of Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at her residence. Born in Chipley, Fla., she moved here in 1961 from Enterprise, Ala. She was a retired bookkeeper and was Baptist by faith. She was very active with her bowling, golfing and of course her fishing. Mrs. White was also active in the Business and Professional Womens Association for 24 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Coy W. White. She is survived by two sons, Glynn Cutchens and wife Pat of Elizabethtown, Ky., Ronald White and wife Kim of Panama City; two daughters: Wanda Williams and husband Chris, Glynda Law all of Panama City; four step-sons: Kenneth White and wife Sue of Rockwood, Tenn., Dennis White and wife Lora of Panama City, Donald White and wife Cindy of Floral City, Fla., Terry White and wife Brenda of Panama City; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nada D. Fortunas, 67, of Port St. Joe, passed away Tuesday morning in Bay Medical Center. Mrs. Fortunas was born in Kinard, and had spent most of her life in Wewahitchka and Panama City, until making her home in Port St. Joe 12 years ago. She is survived by her husband, George E. Fortunas of Port St. Joe; her children: Linda Faye Robbins of Panama City, Marcus Edenfield and wife Susan of Fountain, and Keith Edenfield and wife Lisa of Blountstown; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers: Sambo Daniels and Bill Daniels, both of Wewahitchka, and Charles Daniels of Texas ; and a sister, Etta Mae Dingle of Oklahoma. He was a lifelong resident of Bay County and retired from civil service after 36 years of service at Coastal Systems Station. Mr. Pate was Baptist by faith, was a vetean of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Pythagoras Masonic Lodge No. 358. Mr. Pate is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruby J. Pate; two sons, James O. "Buster" Pate and Bo Pate; one daughter, Sherry Ann Morris and husband Bruce all of West Bay; one sister, Betty Brannon and husband Gerald of Pensacola; six grandchildren: Shauna, Carrie and Derek Pate, Steven Meyers, Brett and Nick Morris.
