Mr. A. C. "Pat" Reff, age 90, of 15935 Crestline Rd., Fountain, Fla., died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at a local nursing home. He had been a resident of the area since 1975, coming here form Albertson, N.Y., and was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Fountain, Fla. Mr. Reff was a volunteer fireman with the Green Hills-Fountain Volunteer Fire Dept., where he served as treasurer. He also served as treasurer for the Fountain Community Center and Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Mr. Reff was very involved in the community of Fountain. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nelly Reff of Fountain, Fla.; a son, Dick Reff and his wife Marilyn of Rochester, N.Y.; three grandsons: Mitchell Reff and his wife Margaret, Michael Reff and his wife Diane, and Martin Reff, all of Rochester, N.Y.; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 28, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. William Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service to held at 7 p.m.

EARL D. 'CHRIS' CHRISTENSEN
Lt. Comdr. Earl D. "Chris" Christensen, Retired, U.S. Navy, age 78, of 1217 Amherst Road, Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999 at his home. He had been a resident of the area since 1963 and was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Lt. Comdr. Christensen retired from the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Chapter 3 Pearl Harbor Survivors. He was also a volunteer for 12 years for the Red Cross with the Pharmacy at Tyndall AFB. Lt. Comdr. Christensen is survived by his wife, Anita Christensen of Panama City, Fla.; a loving and devoted daughter, Regina Sims and her husband Tony of Panama City, Fla.; step-sons, Kent Lyles of Ft. Worth, Texas and Daryl Lyles and his wife Sherry of Fountain, Fla.; and grandchildren: Brent Sims, Kristi Sims, Eric Lyles, Elise Lyles, Chad Lyles and Christopher Lyles. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. today, Oct. 27, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Msg. William A. Crowe and the Rev. Lewis Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with military honors accorded by the Coastal Systems Station. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Willis Morrison, Bill Hunter, David Riley, Vernon Dykes, Louis Ray and Richard Coiner. Asked to serve as honorary pallbearers are: Chapter 3 Pearl Harbor Survivors, Staff of Satellite Pharmacy and the American Red Cross Volunteers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of N.W. Florida, 502 N. MacArthur Ave. Suite B, Panama City, FL 32401. A special recognition goes to Barbara Hagan for her devoted and loving care.

Funeral services for Mr. Woodrow Clark, age 86, of Panama City, who died Monday, October 25, 1999 in his home, will be held today at 11 a.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Active pallbearers are: Ray Conrad, Buddy Rehberg, George Wood, Joe Fleming, C.W. Mauldin and James Ray Brookins. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Adult II Sunday School Class and members of the Quarter Century Club.

Ann E. Cox, age 85, of Panama City, Fla., died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999 at her home. She was a native of Lexington, Ky., and recently moved to Panama City from Clearwater, Fla. She was a member of Cove Baptist Church. Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband, James W. Cox of Panama City, Fla.; her son, Dr. Sam L. Combs and his wife Laurie of Panama City, Fla.; her daughter, Connie Wilson and her husband Louis of Lexington, Ky.; four grandchildren: Jason L. Combs of Atlanta, Ga., Audrey C. Combs of Panama City, Fla., Steven L. Wilson and family of Nashville, Tenn., and Dina W. Williams and family of Columbia, S.C.; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 at Milward Funeral Home Southland Chapel in Lexington, Ky. Interment will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Gilford Wagner, William Wagner, John Cox, Jason Combs, Steve Wilson and Trent Wilson. The family will receive friends locally at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, today, Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Cove Baptist Church Construction Fund, 100 N. MacArthur Ave., Panama City, FL 32401.

Funeral services for Mrs. Susie L. Elliott, 91, of Panama City, will be held today at 10 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Brittan officiating. Interment will be in College Park Cemetery in College Park, Ga., on Thursday.

DONALD K. NELSON
Don K. Nelson of 3112 East US 12 Niles, Mich., died in his home on Oct. 2, 1999. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles, and a lifetime member of the American Legion. Mr. Nelson retired from Allied Signal-Bendix Missile Division in Mishawaka, Ind., to Panama City, Fla., where he owned Nelson's Restaurant and Lounge. After he sold the restaurant he moved to Niles, and traveled throughout the United States and Canada. Survivors include his wife, Mozell Nelson of Niles; son, Scott Nelson; daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Glen Alexander; granddaughter, Carla Alexander of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandson, Rusty Alexander of Panama City; mother, Marie Nelson; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carolyn Nelson; brother-in-law, Norman Juddy of Lincoln, Neb. In Mr. Nelson's honor, donations may be made to Cass County Hospice, 3211/2 W. Delaware Street, Decatur, MI 49045-1106.

LOUISE E. RICE
Louise E. Rice, 47, of Panama City, passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 1999 in Ringgold, Ga. Mrs. Rice lived most of her life in Panama City, Fla. She has lived in Ringgold for the last year. Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Rita Cox; and her sister, Teresa Leduc. Survivors include her husband, Jack Rice of Ringgold; two daughters, Linda Rice and Debbie Rice, both of Panama City, Fla.; one sister, Diane Parker of Lynn Haven; four brothers: Jerry, David and Roger Leduc, all of New York, and Victor Leduc of Panama City. Funeral services were held, Oct. 25, 1999, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Peter Reed officiating. The family wishes that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

WILLIAM D. CROWE
Mr. William D. Crowe, 85, of Panama City, Fla., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999 in Glencove Nursing Pavilion. On Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, Mr. Crowe's family received a comforting message from the Lord having them read Psalms 34. Born in Lamar County, Ala., he moved here in 1976 from Springhill, La. He was retired from International Paper Company as a machinist. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City and Triple "L" Sunday School Class. Mr. Crowe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ozelle M. Crowe and daughter, Julia Crowe both of Panama City. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Florida Baptist Childrens Home in memory of William D. Crowe.

ROBERT GORDON LLANOS
Mr. Robert Gordon Llanos, age 67, 131 Sun Lane, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999 at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1994, moving here from Huntington Beach, Calif. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mr. Llanos spent his retirement as an active volunteer for many organizations. He worked with Habitat for Humanity for five years and was involved in the construction of ten homes. He volunteered for the Council on Aging's Meals on Wheels Program, the St. Jude Association, Catholic Charities, and the Junior Museum. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Flo Llanos of Panama City Beach, Fla.; daughters: Susan Galloway of San Diego, Calif. and Maria Llanos of Hungtington Beach, Calif.; a son, Gordon Llanos and his wife Penny of Huntington Beach, Calif.; sisters: Theresa Wickham of Toronto, Canada, Jean Mew and her husband Freddie of Georgetown, Ontario, Jeannette Morgan and her husband Bill of Bramalea, Ontario, Margaret Ann Llanos of Ottawa, Canada, and Jennifer Llanos of Perth, Australia; brothers, Noel Llanos and his wife Eileen of Calgary Alberta, Canada, and John Ritchie and his wife Gwen of Issaquah, Wash.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Fr. Marty Bratek officiating. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Marc Llanos, Noel Llanos, Gordon Llanos, Bill Morgan, Glen Leirer and John Hunyady. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. VIRGINIA HERNANDEZ
Former Bay County resident Virginia Hernandez, 91, died Oct. 25, 1999. She was born April 30, 1908 in Atlanta, Ga., and with her late husband Al, moved to Bay County in 1967. In 1992, she relocated to Sarasota, Fla., where she remained until her death. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Howell and Mrs. Clementine Fernander of Sarasota; and a son, Al Hernandez of Brooksville, Fla. She also leaves five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29 with the Rev. Bruce Raley of Panama City First Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to local or National Alzheimer's Association.

Catherine Jones Paul, 85, of Panama City, died Wednesday Oct. 27, 1999 in a local nursing home. She was a seamstress and owner of Catherine's Fabrics. She was a life-long resident of Panama City and a member of the Advent Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Ulyess D. Paul of Panama City; three daughters: Mary E. Creary and her husband Bill of Panama City, Polly C. Campbell and her husband Jerry of Havana, Fla., and Joan Napper and her husband French of Wewahitchka, Fla.; sister, Delma Doty; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Buchanan and the Rev. John Harper officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m at the funeral home.
