Elda Barilla, age 85 of Panama City, Fla., formerly of Eastchester, New York, died on Sept. 21, 1999. Elda was the former owner of Eldine Bridal Shop in Eastchester. She was the beloved wife of Philip, devoted mother of Lydia Sheehan, dear sister of Robert Jamonico and cherished grandmother of three. Friends may gather at Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. in Eastchester on Monday, Sept. 27. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, Sept. 28 at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe, followed by interment in Holy Mount Cemtery, Eastchester.

STEVEN ALAN HATTON
Mr. Steven Alan Hatton, age 35 of 3413 B. St., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area for 15 months coming here from Largo, Fla. Mr. Hatton worked for The Panama City News Herald and also went to school in Panama City during 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Hatton of Panama City, Fla.; father, James Hatton of Panama City, Fla.; a brother, Kevin Hatton of St. Petersburg, Fla.; paternal grandmother, Sillar Montgomery of Tiffin, Ohio; step-paternal grandfather, Orbin Montgomery of Tiffin, Ohio; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 23 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. W. Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Bill Quick, Lester Parrish, Wendell Eldridge, Carl Mashburn, Lendy Quick, Keith Quick, and David Dotson. Honorary pallbearers will include employees of The Panama City News Herald. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, Sept. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m.

VICKIE LAMBERSON
Mrs. Vickie Lamberson, 44, of 113 Bellamy Circle, Port St. Joe, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at her residence. Born in Augusta, Ga., she moved to Port St. Joe in 1974 from Tallahassee, Fla. Mrs. Lamberson was a kindergarten teacher at Faith Christian School. She was also a member of Grace Baptist Church where she was a very active youth leader. Mrs. Lamberson is preceded in death by her father, Leo Lewis. She is survived by her husband, Rick Lamberson of Port St. Joe; one daughter, Kim Lamberson of Port St. Joe; one son, Ricky Lamberson of Port St. Joe; her mother, Nan Turza and husband, Ted of Port St. Joe; one sister, Cheryl Roberson of Winter Park, Fla.; father and mother-in-law, Dick and Jean Lamberson of Port St. Joe; two brothers-in-law: Mark Lamberson and wife Sarah of Port St. Joe and Scott Lamberson and wife Sandra of Port St. Joe; one sister-in-law, Carole Donner and husband Bob of Tallahassee and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Lamberson will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. EST at Long Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Duty officiating and Pastor Marty Martin assisting. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Long Avenue Baptist Church.

ALEX PALMER
Mr. Alex Palmer, age 39, of Altha, Fla. died early Saturday morning Sept. 18, 1999 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. Alex was born in San Jose, Calif. and had lived in Calhoun County for most of his life. He was a native American Indian and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1978 graduate of Blountstown High School and a graduate of Chipola Jr. College Vocational Technical School. He was a machinist by trade and had served in the United States Navy. Survivors include his parents, Bill and Karen Palmer of Tallahassee; maternal grandmother, Estelle O'Bryan of Blountstown; aunt, Mary Nell Bailey of Blountstown and nephew Brad Palmer of Tallahassee. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. (CDT) from the Chapel of Peavy Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in New Shiloh Cemetery near Altha. No visitation will be held at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at their home tonight and also Thursday after the funeral services.

Mr. William Ben Taylor Sr., age 97, of 2008 1/2 2nd Plaza, Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999 at his daughter's home. He had been a resident of the area for 85 years, coming here from Graceville, Fla. Mr. Taylor was a commercial fisherman and attended Callaway Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his daughters: Margaret Hall of Panama City, Fla., Mary Taylor Pickles and her husband Robert of Cooks Bayou, Martha Melvinia Taylor Cottrell and her husband Shannon of Panama City, Fla., and Marie Elizabeth Smith and her husband George of Youngstown; Sons: William Ben Taylor Jr. and his wife Carol of Youngstown, Fla., Dallas Winniard Taylor and his wife Marie of Apalachicola, Carlos Stephen Taylor and his wife JoAnn of Callaway, Fla., and Marty Donowan Taylor and his wife Lisa of Panama City, Fla.; brothers and sisters: Harvey Taylor of Parker, Molly Millirons and Anna Lee Peoples, both of Panama City, Fla., and Beatrice Crews of Starke, Fla.; sister-in-law, Claudia Dowdy of Panama City; nineteen grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 24, 1999 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: William Ben Taylor III, Dallas Winniard Taylor Jr., Marty Donowan Taylor Jr., Robert Pickles Jr., William Harvey Sapp Jr., and Stephen Wood. Honorary pallbearers will include: Taylor nephews, Millirons nephews, Fulchums nephews, Peoples nephews, Thomas McFatter, William Caster Jr., and Carlos Stephen Taylor. Lois Campbell, age 44, of Wausau, Fla., passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, Ala. She had been a resident of Wausau for the past three years coming from Marianna, Fla. She was of Methodist faith. Survivors include her husband, Robert Campbell of Wausau; three brothers: David H. Hanson of Lynn Haven, Dallas D. Hanson of Xenia, Ohio, and Darryl J. Hanson of Alford; two sisters: June F. Hevertz of Higley, Ariz., and Kathy K. Meade of Panama City. Memorialization will be by cremation with a memorial service to be held Saturday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Brown Funeral Home.

MARIE PREZIOSI
Marie Preziosi, of Lynn Haven, died Tuesday, September 21, 1999, at Gulf Coast Hospital. Marie was born in Southhampton, N.Y. on Aug. 30, 1963. She was a March of Dimes poster child for the Eastern Suffolk Co. N.Y. chapter in 1965. Marie attended elementary schools on Long Island, N.Y. and in Chipping Norton and Upper Heyford, England. She graduated from Holy Nativity Episcopal School, and was a 1981 honors graduate of Mosley High School. She attended Gulf Coast Cornmunity College, Hillsbourough Community College and was a graduate of Florida State University, Tallahassee. While attending college she was a volunteer at the University of South Florida Medical School and at Gulf Coast Hospital. She was a former dispatcher for the Lynn Haven Police Department, and was currently employed at Sallie Mae as a customer service representative. Marie was also self-employed as an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Marie leaves her parents, Al and Jo Preziosi, of Lynn Haven; sisters: Adele Preziosi of Sacramento, Calif., and Barbara Rahl of Lynn Haven; brothers: Patrick Preziosi and wife Julie of Fort Mitchell, Ky., and Allan and wife Joanna of Panama City; nieces: Claire Preziosi, Sophia Preziosi, Katie Rahl, Gianna Preziosi, Lindy Preziosi, Alana Preziosi; nephews: Sidney Van Ness, Chris Rahl and Alex Rahl and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She wilI be memorialized Friday evening, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Lynn Haven with the Rev. Fred Keith officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marie Preziosi Memorial Fund at First Presbyterian Church, 810 Georgia Ave. Lynn Haven, Fla., 32444 or to your favorite charity in her name.

CYRIL A. POACHER
Cyril A. Poacher, age 88, of Suffolk, England, passed away Sept. 21, 1999. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linna Vera Poacher. He is survived by his daughter, Ursula and son-in-law, Jim Hixson of Panama City; step daughter, Daphne and son-in-law Ken of England; four grandchildren: Linna Rogers of Pensacola, Rhonda (Gene) Miller, Tracey Hixson and Paul Hixson of Panama City; and four great-grandchildren: James and Gregory Miller, Ross Rogers and Colby Hixson. A funeral is planned in England.

Deacon Earlie Lee Baker, 50, of 1621 Fortune Ave., died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Panama City. He attended the public schools of Bay County and was a Rosenwald/Bay High graduate of the class of 1968. He worked in the Bay County school system for 29 1/2 years until his illness, and was part owner of the Wayside Grill. He was ordained as a deacon in 1992 at Jesus Only Tabernacle Church and had been a faithful servant to the Lord, at his church home and to the Florida State Council of the Pentecoastal Assemblies of the World where he took part in the auditing committee. He is survived by his loving wife, Evangelist Lillian Baker of Panama City; five sons: Kenny of Miami, Ray of Pittsburg, Pa., Darrell, Greg and Gary all of Panama City; a daughter, Tammy Coplin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren: a brother, Hubert Baker Jr. (Olivia) of Panama City; a sister, Linda Fay Baker of Panama City; two uncles: Herbert Baker of Miami and Alonozo Baker Jr. (Willie) of Pittsburg; four aunts: Lola Mae Baker and Mabel Lucas both of Panama City, Gladys Reynolds of Philadelphia, Pa. and Verdell Burk of Miami; three great-aunts: Maime Dudley of Verno Beach, Mary Cotton and Willie Barkley both of Jackson County; mother-in-law, Wiltha Mae Lewis of Panama City; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Deacon Baker will be held Saturday, Sept. 25 at noon in Jesus Only Tabernacle Church with Bishop Earl Parchia officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will repose at the church this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. Mr. John Curtis Coleman, 66, of 916 Helen Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at a local hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Coleman had been a resident of Panama City since 1962 moving here from Milton, Fla., and was a member of Set Free Pentecostal Church. Mr. Coleman was born the 9th child of eleven to the late Blanth and Rosa Coleman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucile Walker-Coleman; one son, Billy J. Walker and six brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sisters: Lyndora Smith (Oscar) of Milton, Vera Lee (Henry) of Portsmouth, Va.; and two brothers: Freddie and Clifford Coleman of Pensacola; three daughters: Annie Williams (Sylvester), Gwendolyn Edwards (James), Lillie Cook (William); one son, Mikel Scott of Panama City; seven granddaughters: Lakeisha Williams, Tamara Ward, Lanika Love, Keri Cook, Michelle Edwards of Panama City and Katrina Cook-Brinkley (Del Roy) of Toccoa, Ga.; six grandsons: Terrence Lowder (Darnice); James Edwards, Jay Broxton Jr., William Cook Jr., Keidric Cook and Robert Cook (Brandy) of Panama City; Anthony Edwards (Tyron) of Tennessee; sisters-in-law: Mrs. Loreen Mathis of Panama City, Mrs. Susie Walker of Dothan, Ala.; brother-in-law, the Rev. Samuel Walker of Dothan; thirty great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He is also survived by a dear friend, Durekus Mack. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. in New Beginnings Assembly of Saints Church, 662 Cone Ave., Panama City, Fla., with the Rev. Alphonso Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Redwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 916 Helen Ave., Springfield, Fla.
