Mr. Stevan Sovis, 82, of 1661 Sunny Hills Blvd., Sunny Hills, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, after a long illness at the VA Medical Center in Tuskegee, Ala. Mr. Sovis had been a resident of Washington County since 1976, moving there from New Jersey. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church of Sunny Hills, the D.A.V., V.F.W., the Sunny Hills Volunteer Fire Department Association and Sunny Hills Civic Association. Mr. Sovis is survived by his wife Mrs. Agnes Sovis of Sunny Hills; daughters Stephanie Seethler of New Jersey and Jean Ball of Pennsylvania ; son Stevan Sovis of New Jersey; stepson Francis Zinke of Gastonia, N.C.; sister Alzebeta Catikova of Slavakia; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Sovis is preceded in death by a brother John Sovis. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Francis Szczykutowicz officiating. Entombment will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Love at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with visitation following until service time. Mrs. Vera Freeman Wahlberg, 77, of 1701 Cincinnati, Ave., Panama City, Fla., was born on Sept. 6, 1921, and went to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999. Mrs. Wahlberg had been a resident of Bay County since 1944 coming here from Richton, Miss. She was a retired waitress and member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. Mrs. Wahlberg is survived by a daughter: Carol Freeman of Jonesboro, Ga.; a son: Winford Baylis Freeman and his wife Bobbie Jean of Bayou George, Fla.; a granddaughter: Sara Freeman of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a great-granddaughter: Taryn Freeman of Tuscaloosa; a sister: Juanita Kitterll of Mobile, Ala.; a brother: Truman Hinton of Mobile; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wahlberg was preceded in death by her husbands Baylis "Shorty" Freeman and Adrian J. Mr. Kenneth Dean Widmer, 57, of 1704 Gainer Ave., Panama City, Fla., passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, in a local hospital. Mr. Widmer had been a resident of Bay County since 1963, was a member of Central Assembly of God Church, a supervisor with Lockheed Martin, had served his country in the U.S. Air Force for seven years and was retired from the Florida National Guard. Mr. Widmer is survived by his wife: Mrs. Sheila Widmer of Panama City; a daughter: Kimberly W. Thomes and her husband Christopher of Panama City; a granddaughter: Reilly Elizabeth Thomes of Panama City; a sister: Mrs. Wilma Schwartz of Spokane, Wash.; a brother: Mr. Eldon Widmer of Moses Lake, Wash.; and mother-in-law: Mrs. Arlene "Dena" Steeley of Panama City. Mr. Bobby Jack Griner, 64, of Havana, Fla., passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 1999 in Tallahassee. A native of Grady County, Ga., he had lived in Tallahassee since 1967. He retired in 1996 from state employment where he was a printing and computer annalyst for the legislature. At one time, Mr. Griner worked with the Tallahassee Democrat and the Panama City News Herald. He is survived by his wife, Gerrie Gray Griner of Havana; two sons: Craig Griner of Havana and Stuart Griner of Calvary; mother, Ida Lee Oliver of Tallahassee; one brother, Bill Griner of Cairo, Ga.; two sisters, Lois Yarbor of Panama City and Cathy West of Albany, Ga.; four grandchildren: Crissy Griner, Lee Griner, Brandon Melvin and Eric Melvin. Mrs. Aileen McCoy, 76, of Wewahitchka, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999 in a local hospital. Born in Pikeville, Ky., she moved here in 1971. She owned and operated Lakeside Lodge for 23 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Wewa where she was a member of Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. McCoy is survived by one daughter, Sandra Feltrop of Wewahitchka; three sisters: Glema Wintte of Panama City, Silvea Shackelford of Garden City, Mich. and Roberta Greer of Romeo, Mich.; three grandchildren: John Feltrop, Mark Feltrop and wife Kimargret, Beth Cook; six great-grandchildren: Amanda and Jessica Feltrop, Forest, Luke and Cole Feltrop, and Kane Cox. Funeral services will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Wewa with the Rev. Mike Stroud officiating. Interment will follow in Jehu Cemetery. Mr. Charles (Joe) F. Spooner, age 74, of 2564 Bottomridge Drive, Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Panama City, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 4, at Orange Park Medical Center. He had been a resident of the Panama City area for 45 years and was Protestant by faith. Mr. Spooner served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and had been a barber for the Tyndall AFB Barber Shop for fifteen years. Mr. Spooner was a member of the VFW No. 2185, DAV No. 106, and was the District Service Officer with the VFW for fifteen years. He is survived by a son, James M. "Mike" Spooner of Orange Park, Fla.; grandchildren: James Franklin Spooner, Heather Wallace and Pamela Spooner, all of Orange Park, Fla., and Bill Spooner of Tallahassee, Fla.; and a sister, Lucy Curtis of New Bedford, Mass. Va., he moved here in 1974 from West Virginia and was a retired bio-medical technician. He was also a member of Springfield Methodist Church. Mr. Withrow is survived by his wife, Martha Withrow of Panama City; his mother, Goldie Withrow of Springfield; his children: Robert Withrow of Richmond, Va., Jesse Withrow Jr., Michael Withrow of Richmond, Va., Erin Paige of Midway, Ga., Tony Paige of Richmond, Va., Bonny Runion of Jacksonville, Susan Schrier and Crystal Withrow both of Panama City; one brother, James Franklin Withrow of Crystal Lake; three sisters: Francis Catchot of Ocean Springs, Miss, Virgie Tucker of Panama City, Sue Robertson of Dawes, W.
