JANUSZ, Vernon J., 74, passed away peacefully at home on November 25, 2002. Born in Milwaukee, Wis., he moved to this area in 1970. He was a Catholic, a mechanic, a Korean Conflict Army Veteran, a member of the Riverview V.F.W. and American Legion as well as the Polish American Legion of Milwaukee, Wis. He is survived by his wife, Christine; sons, Michael and Russell; daughters, Lenore and Edith; brothers, Donald (Marion) and Ted; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Marcella and Diane (Richard). Kowacz; brother, Paul Kowacz of Doylestown, Pa.; sister, Ann Sheppard of Atlanta, Ga.; and several loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Abundant Life Fellowship Church, 9320 N. 19th Street, Tampa, Fla.

McRAE, Jessie Lee (Bunkley), died Nov. 23, 2002. Born Feb. 12, 1921, she was a Florida native and grew up in Belmont Heights. She worked at Hav-a-Tampa Cigar Factory for years, owned Martin's Burger in Seffner and was a School Crossing Guard. She was predeceased by both husbands, R.D. Martin in 1967 and Willard McRae in 1977; son, James D. Martin in 1948; daughter, Billie D. Cook in 2001; and grandson, H.D. `Bub ba` Martin Jr. in 1996. She is survived by three sons, H. Doyle Martin and wife, Trudy, Carl H. Martin and wife, Patti and Jack K. Martin and wife, Lola; one daughter, Dottie E. Martin; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the Garden of Memories. A special thanks to LifePath Hospice Blue Team and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifePath Hospice in her memory.

He is survived by his loving wife, Luz Marina `Delia`; son, Guillermo `William`; daughters, Ada Lopez, Aurora Hansen and husband Ted of Valrico; sister, Isabel Torres of Long Island, New York; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 29, 10 a.m. at Boza Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave. with interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Family will receive friends today, Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. with recitation of the Catholic Wake Rite Service, 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her mother, Loretta Taillefer of Gibsonton; a sister, Joyce Doss of West Virginia; two brothers, David of Ruskin, Fla. and Maine and Bill of Maine and their families; her sister-in-law, Kathleen Dowd with whom she resided; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father John Murray and two brothers Butch and Larry.

NEFF, Mary A. (O'Gorman), 79, of Riverview, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002 peacefully at her daughter's home. Born in Summit Hill, Pa., Mary was a resident of Florida since 1990 moving from Parkesburg, Pa. and was a member of the Sun City Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is the widow of Clement P. Neff who passed away in 1981. She is survived by her children, Gary and Tom Neff in Pa., Rosemary Belcher in Ariz. and Barbara Carroll in Fla.; her 10 grandchildren, Bob and Ryan Martin, Kristen David, Sean and Matt Carroll, Melissa and Elizabeth Neff and Eric and Tommy Neff; her beloved great-grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Gage, Joanna, Faith, Hope and Jacob; two sisters, Anna Williams, Theresa Hottenstein; and one brother, Tom O'Gorman. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Riverview Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

PRIEBE, Rebiel `Re`, 68, of Sun City Center passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at LifePath Hospice House Sun City Center. She was a member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Ruskin. Re gave a lot of herself spending time caring for others. She was a 12 year EMT volunteer at the SCC Emergency Squad. Survivors include her husband, Elmer; four children, Thomas Weakland, Bellevue, Ohio, Rebecca Calvert, Camas, Wash., Lisa Parlin, Pickerington, Ohio, and Mary Wolff, Toledo, Ohio; step-sons, William Priebe, Southfield, Mich., Matthew Priebe, Kalamazoo, Mich.; sister, Rebecca Hester, Gallatin, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Mike Priebe, North Royalton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Interment Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, 11 a.m. at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church 705 9th St. SE Ruskin, Fla.

ROCCO, John T., Jr., 69, of Holiday, formerly of Brandon, passed away Nov. 14, 2002. Services were held at Florida National Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Elaina; and children, John M. of Valrico, Bernadette R. Lee of New Orleans, La., Thomas of Redwood Shores, Calif.; Martin of Copenhagen, Denmark; and grandchildren, Haley Patrick, Benjamin and Matthew Lee and Giovanna Rocco.

SEARS, Brenda Lynn (Elder), 46, a native of Tampa, died peacefully November 20, 2002 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, surrounded by her family. Survivors include husband, David Sears; mother, Katherine J. Elder; sister, Rita Thurman and husband Tom; brothers, Curtis Elder and wife Pat, William (Rusty) Elder and wife Sharon; also, several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society in memory of Brenda would be appreciated. Services will be private.

SINANG, Manuela F., 87, of Brandon, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2002. She had resided here since 1997 coming from Ohio. She is survived by her son, Florendo Sinang, Philippines; daughter, Gloria Merckling, Brandon; two brothers, Quirino and Fred Failoga; two sisters, Maria Pancho and Felicidad Mariano, all of the Philippines; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609.

SMITH, Fannie B. `Fran`, 88, of Tampa, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002. She is survived by her loving family, brothers, G. Leo Barker, S.H. Barker and Paul L. Barker; sisters, Laura McCorkle and Edith B. Key; and many nieces and nephews. Fran was a member of Seminole Heights Baptist Church since 1958. A Church service was held Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. at Seminole Heights Baptist Church. A private interment took place Wednesday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. THOMAS, Shirley, 53, of Thonotosassa, passed away Nov. 26, 2002. Survivors include her son, Chris, her companion, Joe Diaz and her brothers, Turner and Donald Coggins.

VALLETTE, Frederic Field, Jr., 83, of Gibsonton, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002. Known as `Fred the Breadman` around Tampa for his tireless efforts in feeding the homeless. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 1992. Survived by a brother, Charles Tenny Vallette, Parkville, Md., and several nieces and nephews.

WHITAKER, Ann F., 87, passed away November 23, 2002 in Sun City Center. She had been a long time resident of the St. Petersburg and Seminole area before moving to Sun City Center about seven years ago. She was a Junior High School Teacher and a Director of Religious Education. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rev. Philip Whitaker; two daughters, Mary Eisenbart of Bethel, Alaska and Ruth Fisher of Marysville, Washington ; brother, Gus Ferre of Kansas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Community Church in Sun City Center.

WHITNEY, Gordon Oramel , passed away, November 25, 2002. The second son of Roy and Daisie Whitney, he was born in Rose City, Michigan on April 2, 1918. He graduated from Rose City High School in 1935, immediately entered the School of Pharmacy at Ferris State University located in Big Rapids, Michigan and passed the State Board for registration in July 1937. On January 1, 1939, he took as his bride, Gertrude Irene Wonch, a resident of Shepherd, Michigan and a high school English teacher at Beaverton, Michigan, where Gordon was practicing his profession. This union was blessed with two children, Dennis Kaye and Candice Irene, both of whom survive; as well as his wife of 63 years; his daughter-in-law, Marvilyn; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Besides his pharmacy profession which he practiced primarily in Mio, Michigan where he owned and operated an independent pharmacy for 33 years, including the war era when he was the only medical person in the county, Gordon also served his community in numerous areas with the churches; on the school board; as County Commissioner, Master of the Masonic Lodge; Patron for the Eastern Stars; President of the Lions Club; and 39 years on the Board of Directors of Roscommon State Banks, nine of them as Chairman. Gordon's personal pleasure after his family was music. His clarinet and saxophone were like close friends. He played his first `dance job` in his parents band when he was 12 years old, played his way through college and played a New Year's Eve dance the night before he was wed. Except for school and community affa irs, he took a siesta from dance bands while nurturing his family but began `learning the organ` which has been a panacea of joy to him in his retirement. Excluding his immediate family as listed, Gordon has no other relatives. He and his wife, Trudy have spent the last 15 years in Sun City Center, Florida enjoying the sunshine, music, dancing and community services. A celebration of Gordon's life will take place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday (today) at Lewers Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Creason officiating. A gift of love to Hospice or Sun City Center Emergency squad would be appreciated by the family and a special benefit to the community.

WYLIE, III, John McGalpin, age 57, passes away Sunday, November 24, 2002. He is survived by his son, Robert Wiley. Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Family will receive friends two hour prior to the services.

ZIMMERMAN, Raymond George, 59, of Riverview, died suddenly at South Bay Hospital Nov. 24, 2002. Mr. Zimmerman was a rural postal carrier for the Valrico U.S. Post Office. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969 and was a member of the U.S.A.F. Band. Mr. Zimmerman taught school from 1975-1984 at East Bay High School, Blake Middle School and Webb Jr. High School. He was past Exalter Ruler of the Ruskin Elks Lodge #2672. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacon and Ann Schill Zimmerman; a son, David Hill; and daughter, Toni Hill. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Mary Jane Zimmerman; daughters, Natalie (Thomas) Morris of Waverly, N.Y. and Sue (Harry) Lewis of Winston-Salem, N.C.; son, Robert (Sue) Hill of Taberly, N.Y.; a sister, Ann Trykowski (Norman) of Tallahasse, Fla.; nephews, Donald (Adrienne) and David (Sarah) Trykowski; niece, Lisa DeGannes; and great-nieces, Arielle and Karis. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002 at Lewers Funeral Home with Father Patrick Irwin officiating. A memorial Elks service will follow.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; three sons, Percy James Blake of Crookston, Minn., Richard Blake of Devils Lake and Bob Blake of Wales, N.D.; two step-sons, Michael Kurtz and Douglas Kurtz, both of Devils Lake; two daughters, Sheri Henderson of Neunsinger Park Rapids, Minn. and Barb Smith of Devils Lake; four step-daughters, Patricia Kaye Walsh and Linda Johnson both of Bizmark, N.D., Cynthia Steinjin and Brenda Murray, both of Fargo, N.D.; a brother, Clarence Restad of Waterford, Calif.; a sister, Verna Goodman of Langdon, N.D; 12 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Boehning of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Gretchen D'Ovidio of Dade City and Elaine Boehning of Lutz; sister, Josephine Mateer of Huntington, Pa.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
