CHRISTOPHER, Pauline, 98, of Ridge Manor, died Nov. 20, 2002 at home. A native of Alpena, Michigan, she came to this area in 1973. She was a retired Biology and Zoology Professor and was Presbyterian. Survivors include a son; a sister; five grandchildren; two nieces; and a nephew.

DONAGHAY, Margaret (nee Sweeten) Henderson, 78, died Sunday morning, November 17, 2002 in Tampa General Hospital, Tampa. She was born in Alloway, New Jersey on December 12, 1923. She attended public school and graduated from Woodstown High School, Woodstown, New Jersey. She alter received her bachelor's degree at Wilmington College, Wilmington, Delaware and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration at Cheyney State College, Cheyney, Pennsylvania . She was the first woman to serve as chief administration officer of a public college in New Jersey and was selected to be included in the `World Who's Who of Women` and the `Who's Who of American Education`. In 1958, Mrs. Donaghay was selected to be the secretary of the newly established Salem County Vocational Technical Institute, New Jersey's first post-secondary career education institution. As the Institute expanded, Mrs. Donaghay's responsibilities grew to include the management of the administration office, director of the schools finances and Secretary to the Board of Trustees. She was instrumental in securing both state and federal funding to help the Institute to become a model of post-secondary education. She spent coun tless hours as a registered lobbyist representing the Governor of New Jersey in Washington , D.C. for funding for Salem County Vocational Technical Institute and for vocational education for New Jersey Department of Education. Her leadership played a key role in the transformation of the Technical Institute into Salem Community College in 1982. She was selected as the Vice-President of Administrati on of the new college and directed its business activities. Mrs. Donaghay retired in 1977 and relocated to Tampa in 1978. In 1980 she volunteered her expertise to develop the baccalaureate nursing program at the University of Tampa. The University honored her for her work and she served as the first director of the new program. She was a longtime member of the Davis Islands Garden Club pf Tampa an d was a noted artisan and collector of porcelain and china dolls. She is survived by her loving children, Son, Joseph Henderson of Long Beach California; daughters Margaret Davis, Jane Hitchner and Jean Aertker, grandchildren Kristina Cloversettle and Katherine Aertker and three great-grandchildren all of Tampa; two sisters, Lily Hitchner and Ruth Gervet of Alloway, New Jersey; and a brother, Clif ford Sweeten of Oakwood Beach, New Jersey and Tavares, Florida. Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Margaret S. Donaghay Nursing Scholarship Fund at University of Tampa, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL 33606, (813) 253-3333, or to the Herbert C. & Marg aret S. Donaghay Scholarship fund at Salem Community College, 460 Hollywood Ave., Carney's Point, NJ 08069, (856) 351-2601, or to the charity of your choice. EHLERT, Williams, 77, of Tampa, died Nov. 12, 2002. Survived by loving family. He was a veteran of the US Army. Services will be Thursday at Florida National Cemetery.

FOSTER, Alfred A., 82, of Tampa, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20. 2002. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Foster, sons, Stephen Foster and wife Karen, of Detroit, MI., John Foster, of Tampa and Frank Foster and wife Stephanie, of Tampa, four grandchildren, David and wife Lisa of Spring Hill, Fla., Kurt and wife Cynthia, Kimberly and husband Scott, and Kerry, all of Tampa; seven great-grandchildren; five nephews and three step-grandchildren. Mr. Foster was a member of the International Typographical Union since 1937 and retired from The Tampa Tribune composing room in Dec. 1992. He was a veteran pilot of World War II, US Army Air Corps. A private graveside service will be held at Garden of Memories for family only.

GARDNER, Richard Artist, 60, of Tampa, pssed away on Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Marion; and his parents, Iley E. and Bonnie Lee Gardner of Spring Hill. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Mosse, Elks, and American Legion Post 139. Richard was a Navy S.E.A.L. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Mark III Funeral Home South Tampa Chapel.

HILL, Dorothy L., 78, of Tampa, passed away November 19, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Johnny L. Hill; two sons, Darrel Hill (Anne), and Daniel L. Hill (Joannie); two daughters, Linda Brown (Bill), and Janet Stringfield (Tommy); sister, Pauline Smith; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, November 22, 2002, at the Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, with interment to follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

JESKE, Karl Walter, 75, of St. Petersburg, passed away November 18, 2002. He is survived by is wife of 54 years, Ludy Jeske; two sons: Richard and Rodney Jeske; three grandchildren: Adam, Ryan, and Logan.

LEININGER, Richard J., 44, of Apollo Beach, died November 19, 2002 at his residence. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, Nov. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor James Roper officiating at Lewers Funeral Home Chapel. Surviving are his wife, Monica Chapman Leininger; parents, Jack and Eleanor Leininger of Wilmingtan, N.C.; brothers, Bryan of Cincinnati, Ohio and Allan of North Carolina; and a sister, Mrs. Annette Daniels of Wilmington, N.C.

LOVERING, Mabel H., 87, of Tampa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, November 18, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Lovering, Sr. She is survived by her children, Betty Nelson and husband Gary of Ft. White, Fla., Bernard Lovering Jr., and wife Laurie, Linda Terino and husband James, all of Tampa; sister, Alice Pennock of Holiday, Fla.; brothers, Frank Moy of Bedford, N.H., and Sidney Moy of Williamsville, N.Y.; grandchildren, Wayne Walton and wife Maria, George Hondrellis, Jr., Eileen Mead and husband Mark, James Terino Jr., Troy Terino and Cynthia Lovering, all of Tampa, Christina Myers and husband Dave of Las Vegas, Nev.; great-grandchildren, Wayne, Margie, and Leigh-Ann Walton, Yvonne Chase, George, Nathan, and Alexis Hondrellis and Jennifer Capps, all of Tampa; and several nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Pastor Anthony Perry and family for their prayers, love, and support. Also, to Fairway Oaks and UCH for all the special love and care they have given our mom throughout her illness. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2002, at the Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Avenue. Interment will fol low in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. MURRAY, Sean Christopher, age 61, of Lutz, passed away November 19, 2002. A native of Stafford Springs, Connecticut and resident of Lutz for the past 17 years, Mr. Murray is survived by his wife, Helene Murray; daughters, Dina Hornack of Coventry, Conn. and Maureen Murray of Martha's Vineyard, Conn.; brothers, Michael, Patrick, Timothy and Morris Murray; and sister, Kathy Sequera. A Funeral Mass will be offered for his soul Friday morning at 10 o'clock at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in his memory.

OWEN, John William, III, 45, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2002, at his home in Tampa. John was born in Memphis, Tenn., on July 8, 1957, to the late John W. Owen, Jr. and Frances Holloman Owen. He was raised in Memphis and graduated from Memphis University School in 1975. He attended Georgia Tech, was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. While attending Mississippi State, he was a co-op student with the Army Corps of Engineers. In 1981, he began his career with HNTB Corporation in Baton Rouge, La., as a transportation engineer. His 21 years of employment with HNTB led him to Tallahassee, Fla., in 1983, and then to Tampa, Fla. in 1987. Local design projects in which he was involved in include the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway, Veterans Expressway and the re-design of I-275 from Himes Ave. to the Howard Frankland Bridge currently under way. He was also part owner of Gallatin Alpine Sports in Big Sky, Mont. John was a member of Harborside Christian Church in Safety Harbor and a former member of First Evangelical Church in Memphis. He volunteered with United Wa y Tampa Bay, serving on the Basic Needs/Self Sufficiency Investment Team. John is survived by his mother, Frances Holloman Owen; two sisters, Marye Helen Owen and Holly Owen; two nieces, Meghean H. Warren and Elizabeth H. Owen, all of Memphis, Tenn.; and a brother, Tom R. Owen of Gallatin Gateway, Mont. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2002 at Bayside Community Chu rch of God, 3380 State Road 580 in Safety Harbor. The family requests that donations be sent to the John Owen Scholarship Fund, c/o Second Presbyterian Church, 4055 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38111, or a charity of the donor's choice.

POWELL, Ermon Perry, 64, of Tampa, died Oct. 31, 2002. Survived by loving family. He was a veteran of the US Army. Services were held Wednesday at Florida National Cemetery.

PRATT, Carolyn B., 74, of Homosassa, passed away November 17, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Robert D. Pratt and Richard E. Pratt; daughter, Diane McNatt; brother, Norman LaFuze; sister, Lucille Mangas; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22 at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will include grandsons, Richard D. Carlton, Richard M. Pratt and Robert D. Pratt and great-grandsons, Corey D. Hilton, Tyler J. Dipolito, William L. Carlton, III, Richard J. Carlton and Cross A. Carlton. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the chapel of Adams & Jennings Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rebrovich is survived by her son, George Reby and wife Marina; daughter, Dorothy Bowen and husband Red; daughter-in-law, Delores Rebrovich; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rebrovich was Catholic by faith and a Homemaker. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2002. REINSCH, Robert `Bob`, age 71,of Lakeland, died Nov. 18, 2002. Survived by his wife, Dottie Reinsch; one son; two daughter; one brother; one sister; and five grandchildren.

RODRIGUEZ, Victoria D., 78, of Tampa, passed away November 17, 2002 in Tampa. Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband, Joey Rodriguez (Champ). Survivors include here son, Joey Rodriguez; her sister, Ann Sulligan and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 Noon at the funeral home chapel. SLOAN, Donald W., 68, of Tampa passed away on November 19, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife, Clara; son, Kenneth and wife Susan; son Steven and wife Stephanie; brother, Ralph; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Don was a loving husband to Clara for forty-nine years and a devoted father to all his children. Don was a Christian who enjoyed photography, combing the beaches for the next treasure with his metal detector and personal computing. He was the owner of Sloan Water Systems. A memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Luke Lane on Saturday, November 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Carroll Baptist Church, 12012 N. Rome Ave., Tampa, Fla. 933-5683. VACHER, Charles L., age 83, passed away November 19, 2002. A native of West Virginia he moved to Tampa in 1952. He is survived by his wife of 61 years; and three sons, Charles L. of Raleigh, N.C. and wife Bonnie, Dr. Michael L. of Odessa, Fla. and wife Beth, and Richard A. of Lake Oconee, Ga.; and four grandchildren. A graduate of West Virginia University with advanced work in science. Mr. Vacher was a long time educator, serving as teacher dept. head, dean, assistant principal, principal and supervisor in Hillsborough County Schools. He served in World War II with the 6812 Signal Detachment responsible for German Code Breaking. Working on the Enigma stationed at Harrow on the Hill, London, England. He was an avid sportsman and athlete. In lieu of flowers donate to your favorite charity. He is remembered fondly by his loving family and friends. A Memorial visitation will be held Saturday November 24, 2-4 p.m.

BARRETT, Christopher G., 78, of Holiday, Fla., passed away on November 20, 2002 at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in Wakefield, Mass., he moved to Florida 28 years ago from Burlington, Mass. He was retired from automobile sales. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and Korea and a member of the American Legion Post 173 in Holiday. Mr. Barrett was Catholic. He is survived by his wife, Martha E. Barrett; three sons, Christopher, Charles, and Daniel, all of Holiday; two brothers, Daniel of Reading, Mass. and T. Robert of Groveland, Mass.; five sisters, Alice Barrett of Groveland, Helen and Ruth Barrett, both of Reading, Lillian Comins of Haverhill, Mass. and Theresa Brown of Henderson, Nev.; and one grandchild.

He was born April 6, 1913 in Windber, Pa. and came here 24 years ago from Newport, R.I. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a World War II Army veteran. He was manager of the Sheraton, Goat Island, R.I. and the Castle Hill Hotel in Newport. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; four sons, Joseph Britz of New Castle, Del., Leonard Britz of Baltimore, Md., Brian Sweeny of Hagerstown, Md. and Granville Sweeny of Newark, Del.; four daughters, Joanne Marie Britz of Pittsburg, Kan., Charlotte Fiorelli of Wilmington, Del., Eva McCaully of Collegeville, Pa. and Margaret Mitchell of Alabama; a brother, Albert Finella of Johnstown, Pa.; three sisters, Ida Costanzo of Rehoboth, Del., Esther Svatko of Chula Vista, Calif. and Tillie Welby of Margate, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

CARBERRY, John Joseph, 82, of New Port Richey, died Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in New Port Richey. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to New Port Richey front Brooklyn in 1980. John was a supervisor of government properties. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard serving in World War II, a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in New Port Richey and a member of the Eagles in New Port Richey. Survivors include two sons, John Carberry of Rockaway Point, N.Y. and James Carberry of St. James, N.Y.; four daughters, Josephine Lambert of Port Richey, Margaret Rafalowich of Springfield, Va., Catherine Prayal of Northport, N.Y. and Mary Louise Lucido of Basking Ridge, N.J.; one brother, Robert Carberry of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; sister, Margaret Strasser of Port Richey; and 11 grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2 p.m.
