HANE, William A., of Sun City Center, died November 14, 2002. Bill was born in Detroit, Mich. He served in the 124th Calvary Regiment in Burma and China. He graduated from Lawrence Tech. He retired to Sun City Center after 35 years with Excello/Textron. He enjoyed golf and served on the Board of the Men's Golf Association. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Lisa and Cori; a brother, Richard; and five grandchildren. Arrangements Sun City Center Funeral Home 813-634-9900

HELFFRICH, Donald L., 77, of Tampa passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2002. He was preceded in death by, his loving wife of 30 years Elsie Lucille. Survivors include three sons, John Allsbrook of Virginia Beach, Va. Daniel Allsbrook of Las Vegas, Nev., and Robbie Helffrich of Milton, Fla.; five daughters, Anita Joyner of Chesapeake, Va., Donna Helffirich of Milton, Fla., Denise Walker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Janice Sue McCullough of Utah, and Robin Garcia of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Jean Melrose of South China, Maine; his companion, Betty Neal of Tampa; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A native of Huntington, N.Y., Mr. Helffrich lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1970 coming from Chesapeake, Va. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater in World War II and also in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a postal clerk with the U. S. Post Office for 21 years. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2002 at Florida National Cemetery with military Honors. In lieu of flowers, the family's wishes are, to make donations to Toys for Tots, U.S. Marine Corps in his memory.

LAMAR, Doris, 54, of Tampa, died Nov. 6, 2002. She was born in Tampa and worked at National Linen. She is survived by three sons, two daughters, four brothers and two sisters.

MARTINEZ, Rose D., 75, passed away Nov. 13, 2002. A native of West Tampa she grew up in the Macfarlane Park area. She enjoyed gardening and needlework and raising her family. She worked in real estate and enjoyed traveling. Her family members were her most cherished treasures. Mrs. Martinez is survived by sons, William K. Martinez, Robert L. Rodriguez and his partner Michael King; daughters, Annette (Becky) Whitten and husband James, and Sandra Geahr; and four grandchildren, James, Glenn, Billy and Rebecca. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Louis and Mary Diaz; son, Glenn Rodriguez, brother, Louis Diaz and sister Angie Lavigne.

McCOY, Earl H. `Junior`, 56, loving son and brother, went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, November 13, 2002 in his home after a long illness. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. A native of West Virginia, he resided in Florida for over 38 years. For many years, Junior owned and operated McCoy's Television Repair Shop. He was preceded in death by his dad, Earl McCoy, Sr.; and brothers, Mike and Richard Wayne McCoy. Survivors include his mom, Marshaline McCoy of Tampa; brother, Reverend David McCoy and wife Gay of Heyworth, Ill.; and sisters, Helen Wright of Albermerle, N.C., Patty and husband Lester Phinney of Maryville, Tenn., and Linda and Wayne Hand of Tampa. A celebration for his life will be held Monday Nov. 18, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church, followed by interment at Providence Baptist Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Sunday Nov. 17, from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

MILLER, Helen Dorene, 79, of Gibsonton, died Oct. 16, 2002. Born in Sand Lake, Mich., she worked in retail for eight years. Survived by seven children; and 11 grandchildren.

PEJSA, Hazel `Gene,` 79, of Valrico, passed away on November 14, 2002. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her daughters, Lynne Shuttera, Susan Mars, Mary Herron and Laura Roberts; sons, Craig and Paul Reulbach; step-children, Ron and Raymond Pejsa and Rosalind Russell; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on November 16, 2002 from 1-2 p.m., with services to follow at 2 p.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the American Lung Association in lieu of flowers.

SALEK, Hedwig J., 81, of Lutz, Florida passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002. She was born in Vienna, Austria, and had been in Tampa for years, coming here from Sarasota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl. They were circus performers. She is survived by her son, Roland and wife Mary of Tampa; and a niece, Sylvia Lomot of Sallingberg, Austria. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Glass Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory, may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Celia Suarez; and brother, Jerry Alvarez. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda; sons, Steven and wife Bonnie Dyer; and Michael Jr. and wife Christine Suarez; daughters, Lori Bauters and Michelle Suarez; eight grandchildren, Verna, Darlene, Sean, Kera, Stephanie, Dylan, Michael III, and Matthew; seven brothers, Ernest and wife Alice Alvarez, Augustine and wife Connie Alvarez, Ray Alvarez, Tony and wife Carol Suarez, Mario and wife Mary Suarez, Ceferino and wife Betty Suarez, and Hugh Suarez. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Swilley Funeral Home, 1602 W. Waters Avenue.

VANDERMUELEN, Lynn, 58, a lifelong resident of Tampa passed away Nov. 12, 2002. She was a private duty nurse and worked at UCH. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Cook, Terry Bruder and Dana Cook; sisters, Marsha Fox and Donna McMullen; nine grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. with visitation at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m.

VEALE, Dorris Eloise, 75, of Tampa passed away on November 14, 2002. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Hill Veale, Sr. She is survived by her only son, Roy Hill Veale, Jr., and wife Brenda; and three grandchildren, Tricia, David, and Emily. BELLAMY, Harry, age 81, of Dade City, died November 15, 2002. Mr. Bellamy was born in Alliance, Ohio and moved here in 1974 from Minerva, Ohio. A veteran of the Army-Air Force in World War II. He was of Protestant faith. Survivors include his wife, Elsie M. Bellamy; sons, Harry of Tampa and Lee Bellamy of Dade City; two daughters, Kathy Syme of Minerva, Ohio and Sara Jane Lutton of West Chester, Pa.; one sister, Margaret Swidecki of Loraine, Ohio; and seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Survivors; two sons, William E. `Bill` Eklow of San Jose, Calif., and Brian L. Eklow of Grayslake, Illinois; two grandchildren, Joshua and Samantha. She was the owner of a general store. Survivors include her son, Harold A. Graham Sr. of Oswego, N.Y.; a daughter, Helen Williams of Port Richey; a sister, Waneta Seamans of Canistoe, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. HORVATH, Margaret Kathryn, 90, of Dade City passed away November 13, 2002 at Sunbelt Health Care Center in Zephyrhills. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Margaret moved to the area in 1975 from Akron, Ohio. She was a licensed Practical Nurse on Akron, Ohio for 12 years and a Protestant. She was also a member of the National Nurses Association. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Horvath of Dade City; son, Michael Horvath of Sanibel, Fla.; daughter, Barbara Hill of Dade City; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

KIMMEL, Gordon Robert, 85, of Holiday, Florida, died Thursday November 14, 2002 at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs, Florida. He was born in Minnesota and moved to Holiday from Romeoville, Ill in 1989. He was a retired transportation manager for Jewel Food Store, Melrose park with 20 plus years of service and a member of Assembly of God, Tarpon Springs. Survivors; wife, Marie Kimmel of Holiday; daughter, Kay `Suzie` Forwell of Justice, Ill.; two stepsons, Bob Lea of Ocoee, Tenn., and Ken Lea, Hendersonville, Tenn.; three stepdaughters, Kitty Bruce of Kennesaw, Georgia, Ruth Link of Gainesville, Fla., and Ann Jones of Shreveport, La.; granddaughter, Joelle Eddy of Lemont, Ill.; four great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren. O'NEIL, Albert Grant, 75, of Zephyrhills, passed away November 14, 2002 in Zephyrhills. Survived by his wife, Doris M. O'Neil of Zephyrhills; three sons, Dennis G. O' Neil and his wife, Sherry of Eaton Rapids, Mich., James R. Hahn and his wife Lynette of Lansing, Mich., and Ronald L. Hahn of Bradford, Pa.; ten grandchildren, Robert, Angie, Lea, Dawn, James II, Tara, Joseph, Amber, Jesse and Jerome; two great-grandchildren, Randy and Seth. Born March 5, 1927 in Flint, Mich., he came to the Zephyrhills area 19 years ago from Michigan. He was of the Baptist faith and responsible for the paving of Allen Road between Charcey and Tucker Road.

She was the owner/operator of Baker's Adult Home, an assisted care living facility, from 1959 to 1982. She is survived by her husband, Harold T. Baker of Tampa; two sons, Mark Baker of Tampa, and Ward and wife Mary Baker of Harrisville, N.Y.; one sister, Selena `Rose` Trotter; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Elida Youngs of Macomb, N.Y.; seven brothers, and six sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Loyless Funeral Home Chapel, with a funeral service on Tuesday at 11 a.m., also at the Loyless Chapel, followed by interment at Lutz Cemetery.
