SHIFLETT, Richard `Dick`, Jr., 54, of Plant City, died October 28, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann; son, Christopher and wife, Angela of Dover; daughter, Angela of Plant City; mother and step-father, Inez and Don Pritchard of Plant City; brother, Daryl and wife, Belinda of Plant City; step-brother, Jerry and wife, Margo Pritchard of Maryland; sisters, Donna and husband, Don Livingood of Plant City and Debbie and husband, David Crosby of Plant City; step-sister, Delores and husband, Dave Howard of Maryland; and grandchildren, Tayler Nicole, Madison Michele, and Mikenzie Ann. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard G. Shiflett Sr. Dick was the General Manager and announcer for WTWB Radio owned by Carpenter Home Church, Sportscaster for the Auburndale Football Team where he was known as `The Voice of the Bloodhounds`, and a member of the Plant City Civitan Club. He started his career in radio at WPLA while he was in high school and employed there for 24 years where he did play by play for the Plant City Raiders Basketball and football teams. Dick was well known in Gospel Music. He was awarded the 2000 Orange Blossom Country Music Association Gospel Music DJ of the Year award, and the 2002 Gospel Post DJ of the year award. He served on the board that formed the Dolphins Football League and the Little Lads Basketball Program. He was past president of P.C. Raiders Booster program, member of East Hillsborough Historical Society and announcer for Pioneer Days for several years. He also announced several events at the Florida Strawberry Festival through the years. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Plant City. TUZZOLINO, Joseph (Joe), 88, of Wesley Chapel, passed away October 28, 2002 in Tampa. Survivors include his sisters, Lily Ferlita and Diana Shorey; two step-children; Dennis Perez and Judy Reys; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Tuzzolino was a native and lifelong resident of Florida. He was a World War II veteran and worked at St. Joseph Hospital. WEISE, Frank Earl, Jr., 83, of Vero Beach, died October 26, 2002 at Palm Garden of Vero Beach after a prolonged illness. He was born June 25, 1919 in Bridgeville, Pa., and moved to Vero Beach four years ago, from Belleair, Fla. Mr. Weise graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. His business career spanned almost 50 years in the engineering and steel industry. From 1941-1943 he was with Bethleham Steel Co. in Williamsport, Pa.; from 1949-1963, Mr. Weise was Vice President of Operations for Detroit Steel Corp. in Portsmouth, Ohio.; from 1963-1969, he was Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Koppers Co. in Pittsburgh, Pa.; and from 1969-1988, Mr. Weise was with Florida Steel, Tampa, Fla. where he remained until his retirement in 1988 as President and Chief Operating Officer. He was a Director of Florida Steel Corp., Ameritust and Bricmont and Associates. Mr. Weise was a member of Phi Delta Theta, past president of the Portsmouth Jaycees and past Vice President of the Ohio Jaycees. He was both a York Rite and Scottish Rite Mason, past Illustrious Master and Priest of the York Rite. Mr. Weise spent many years as a volunteer for the B oy Scouts. He was also active in the United Way, Kiwanis and Rotary. He was a member of the Belleview Biltmore Country Club in Belleair, Fla. , a member of the Innsbrooke Resort and Golf Club and the Oak Harbor Club in Vero Beach. Mr. Weise was a member of the Community Church-United Church of Christ, Vero Beach, Fla. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Marian Hagerman Weise of Vero Beach; son, Frank E. Weise, III of Vero Beach and Haverford, Pa.; daughters, Pamela Weise Hinds of Washington , D.C. and Kathryn Weise Mason of Edmonds, Wash.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. WILLIAMS, Jefferson, Jr., 80, of Turkey Creek, went home to be with his Lord, October 28, 2002. Born in Georgia, he was a life long resident of Hillsborough County. He was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Turkey Creek. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Williams served his country during World War II. He retired from the Seaboard Coastline Railroad after 42 years. He was active in the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and served in the positions of Local Chairman and Chief Engineer for a number of years. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia William-Herring. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Ohnie Williams; a daughter, Debra William Dambly of Plant City; his sister, Doris Leary of Sanibel, Fla.; grandchildren, Danice Talbert, Eddie Herring, Jeff and Lindsey Dambly; and great-grandchildren, Daniel and Allison Talbert. Mr. O'Neil was a native of Huron County, Michigan and has been a resident of Zephyrhills since 1978, coming here from Naples, Florida. He was a retired machine operator, and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a usher and Eucharistic Minister. Mr. O'Neil was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Knights of Columbus, and a member of the VFW. Mr. O'Neil was predeceased by his wife Mabel Pratt O'Neil and daughter Rose Anderson; and sisters, Loretta Force, Rita Uhlman, Mary Jean Maurer, and Mildred Trombley. WOODWORTH, Victor C., 74, of New Port Richey, died Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey. He was born in Boston, Mass. and moved here from Miami in 1991. He was an electrical engineer and a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of the amateur radio community (AB4MW), having spent several years working with local amateurs as a volunteer examiner. Victor is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lucille Woodworth of New Port Richey; three sons, Marc Woodworth of Augusta, Ga., Richard Woodworth of LaPlata, Md. and Paul Woodworth of Duluth, Ga.; two daughters, Denise Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif. and Elaine Rowe of Panama City Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
