SANDERS, Julie Chichester, age 45 passed away Oct. 23, 2002. Survived by husband, Dale M. Sanders; parents, Philip and Jeanne Dreger Chichester; sister, Nancy Highland; brother-in-law, Patrick; nieces, Lauren and Kathryn; nephew, Patrick, Jr.; sister, Susan Hathaway; brother-in-law, George; nephews, Matthew and Michael. Julie was a graduate of Chamberlain High School, Tampa, Florida in 1975. She was a member of the Cousteau Society; the Humane Society; and various other environmental organizations. She was an avid antique and vintage clothing collector, having been employed by Sherry's Yesterdaze. She had worked for over 20 years at Busch Gardens and assisted her husband on many travel assignments for various magazine articles relating to travel and diving; as well as his apparel company. She was an o rgan donor through Lifelink. Her death will bring life and hope to many others. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002 at 7 p.m. at Forrest Hills Presbyterian Church, 709 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, Fla. Flowers are welcome, however the family would prefer donations made in her name to the following; The Odessa Neighborhood Preservation Organization, in the efforts to preserve the neighborhood and lakes in Odessa, contact 920-2224 for the mailing address; The Cousteau Society or the Humane Society. SHANAHAN, Mary T., 71, was taken home to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2002. She is survived by her children, Jack Shanahan, Maureen Shanahan, Danny Shanahan, Eileen Crawford, Kevin Shanahan, Kathleen Glassner, Peter Shanahan, Colleen Shanahan, Noreen Henson; and thirteen grandchildren, Kate and Elizabeth Muzio, Caroline Martin, David, Bradley, and Shannon Glassner, Justin, Julia and Meghan Crawford, Kayleigh Shanahan, Kyle, Sarah and Jacob Henson. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Anita and Paul Gorman; and by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Sherry Cornell; her Aunt Marion and Uncle King Cornell; as well as many cousins; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Ruth Cornell, and her infant son Michael. Mary moved to the Tampa area from Long Island, NY in 1980. Her true joy was in her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She was a treasure to all who knew her. She leaves her legacy of living life with love, loyalty, and friendship. WEAVER, Eugene F., 78, a winter resident of Avon Park, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002 at his home in Goshen, Indiana
. He was born March 15, 1924, in Elkhart County, Ind. He married LaVeta Lechlitner on May 23, 1947. Survived by his wife, LaVeta; two daughters, Sue Anderson of Bristol, Ind., and Marsha Taylor, Goshen, Ind.; and one son, Douglas Weaver, Goshen, Ind.; also three grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Sautter, Goshen, Ind.; three brothers, Wayne, Goshen, Dale, Nappanee and Gerald, Elkhart. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2002 at the Bealuh Missionary Church, Goshen. He and his wife had wintered in Avon Park, for 16 years. WILLIAMS, John, a Royal Marine veteran of World War II, died Tuesday, October 22, 2002. He was born in Oldham, England on June 22, 1918. Married to Edna Cox in December of 1943, John moved to Montgomery, Ala. after the war. He was sales manager for several companies including Budweiser, Fruit Supply and Swiss Colony until moving to Florida in 1993. He leaves his wife, Edna; daughter, Louise Spottswood and Warren of New Orleans; daughter, Pat McLendon-Kaye and Ronnie of Riverview; son, John and Donna Williams of Alabaster, Ala.; son, Jack and Therese Williams of Destin; grandsons, Sean and Justin McLendon; and various nieces and nephews in the U.S. and England. BALLARD, John B., 66, of Zephyrhills passed away at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Dade City, October 26, 2002, after a lengthy battle with emphysema and heart disease. He was born March 13, 1936 in Statesboro, Georgia. He moved to Tampa as a small child and moved to Ohio as an adult, where he spent several years, before returning to the bay area. He was a graduate of Brewster High School in Tampa. John worked for GTE for 34 years. After retiring seven years ago, he devoted his time to his love for music. Known by many in the area, John played lead guitar in his band, `The Roadrunners`. He served in the Naval Reserve and See Bee's. John was a member of the Moose Lodge 2276; BPOE 2731 Elks; FOE 3752 Eagles in Zephyrhills; and FOE 4399 Eagles, Dade City. He is survived by wife, Judy; moth er, Lena Ramsey, Zephyrhills; sons, John W. Ballard, Sykesville, Md., Randy Ballard, Warsaw, Ohio; daughter, Cindy Smith, Zephyrhills; two grandsons, Jonathan and R.J.
