He was born in Clearwater, Florida and was a lifetime resident of this area. Memberships and Activities include; a mechanics helper at Tires plus, Countryside Mall, Clearwater; and previously was a waiter and cashier for Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q in Palm Harbor for four years; graduate of Tarpon Springs High School Class of 2001; attended St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Tarpon Springs; and member RLM Car Club, Holiday. Survived by parents, Charles O. and Danamarie Casale of Holiday, Fla.; brother, Brett Anthony Casale of Holiday; sister, Tiffanie Nichole Casale of Holiday; grandparents, Charles C. and Emma Casale of Tarpon Springs; grandfather, H. Stan Kirby of Homosassa; grandmother, Cheryl Fausak of Holiday; great-grandmother, Gilda Casale of Pinellas Park; great-grandmother, Marie Seiter of Tarpon Springs; and great-grandmother, Nora Badar of Holiday. COWELL, Elmer F., 100, of Largo died Saturday, October 12, 2002 at Sabal Palms Health Care Center. Born in Washington , N.J., he moved here in 1971 from Denville, N.J. He was an Assistant Postmaster employed by the US Postal Service. Memberships included; Church of the Isles, Indian Rocks Beach; Mizpah Chapter #33 OES (Past Patron) N.J.; Salaam Temple Shrine, Livingston, N.J.; Atlas Lodge #118, Westfield, N.J.; Corinthian Chapter RAM (Past High Priest), Trinity Commandary #17, Plainfield, N.J. There are no known survivors.

HARTWIG, Ruby Hazel , 78, of Zephyrhills, passed away October 9, 2002 in Tampa. Survived by her daughter, Janet Hartwig Rodgers of Zephyrhills; two sons, William Hartwig of Dade City and Robert Hartwig of Zephyrhills; four grandchildren, Cara and Christopher Rodgers and Geoffrey and Amy Hartwig; a sister, Evelyn Chevalier of Strawberry Point, Iowa. Services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Buddy Hollyfield and Rev. Keith Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 14, 2002 at Whitfield Funeral Home. Ruby was born March 6, 1924 in Strawberry Point, Iowa, and came to the Zephyrhills area in 1970. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

RINGELSPAUGH, Mary (Kate), 79, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2002, at home in Dade City under the loving care of her family and Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gerald, on November 2, 2001. Mary was born in Piqua, Ohio, on June 16, 1923. She was the youngest of four children of Rose and Joe Kiser. Mary came to Florida in 1951 with her husband and daughters. She was retired from Hillsborough County Schools. She was active for many years in the American Legion Auxiliary, having served as president, secretary, and the head of numerous charitable functions. She is survived by four daughters, Sharon Jones (Jay) of Dade City, Cathy Timpano (Sam) of Sanford, Linda Smith (Larry) of Dade City, and Nancy Johnson (Alan) of St. Petersburg; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; loving nieces, nephews, cousins and 94 year old brother-in-law, Kenneth Ringelspaugh of Tampa. A memorial service will be held on October 20, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Oakley Funeral Home in Dade City, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice in her memory.

ADAMS, Sr., John Douglas, 70, of Valrico passed away on Friday, October 11, 2002. A native of Faison, N.C. he had resided here since 1956. He was founder and CEO of Adams Air & Hydraulics, Inc.; Chairman of the Board of the local Colonial Bank; a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Brandon; a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran, where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross; had attended N.C. State University and was an active member of the Wolfpack Club. He is survived by his wife, Dotty; son, John D. Adams, Jr., his wife, Donna of Temple Terrace; and their children, John D., III and Kayla; daughters, Judi Coleman, her husband, Perry of W. Melbourne, Fla.; and their children, J.P., Kristin and Rebecca; Jane Thompson, her husband, Reece of Brandon; and their children, Brittani and Reece, III; Jackie Buckler of Tampa; and her children, Abby and Luke; mother, Kate Adams, Plymouth, N.C.; two brothers and sisters, William C. Adams, Valrico, Pritchard G. Adams, Jr., Ruth Gardner and Martha Estep, all of North Carolina. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday at the chapel of the 1st United Methodist Church of Brandon with interment following at Hillsboro Memori al Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Casketbearers will be Tom Miller, Richard English, Curtiss Cates, Oscar Zeller, Albert Salem, Chuck Edwards, J.P. CARLISLE, David `Mitch`, age 48 of Plant City, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2002. Mr. Carlisle moved here from Watervliet, Michigan in 1955. He is predeceased by his mother, Janet Wilson Carlisle; and his brother, Dennis Wayne Carlisle. Survivors include his sons, Dennis M. Carlisle and David A. Carlisle, both of Plant City; two sisters, Donna Lewis of Plant City and Melanie Spurgeon of Brandon; and one granddaughter, Grace Madison Carlisle of Plant City. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 13, 2002 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. DUNN, Robert Henry, age 55, of Tampa, passed away Friday, October 11, 2002. He was a Viet Nam Air Force Veteran and of the Methodist Faith. He was an Interior Designer in the Tampa area for several years. He is survived by his sisters, Fran and husband, James Givens of Richmond, Virginia and Sarah Dunn of Pensacola, Florida; brother, Richard K. Dunn of Anchorage, Alaska; two nieces; and one great-niece. Contributions may be made to the Charity of your choice in his memory. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Lanouette Gardner (57 years); and children, Jim (Kitty), San Antonio, Texas , Mike (Norma), Winter Haven, Fla., and Bunny (Jim) Vanderburg, Englewood, Fla. Predeceased by daughter, Rosemary. He is survived by his wife, Marie B.; three sons, Thomas Patrick of Pine Knoll Shores, N.C., Edward of Holland, Pa. and Stephen of Willow Grove, Pa.; a daughter, Marie of Sun City Center; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. HUFF, Blanchard M., 82, passed away October 12, 2002. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Ruby; sons, Ricky Young, Robert Staples, Rodney Staples, Richard Huff and Ronald Huff; daughter Cynthia Ponder; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Huff retired from the Air Force at MacDill AFB and had served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the South Tampa Chapel of Mark III Funeral Home. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2002 with full military honors graveside at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. We love you Dad, you'll always be in our hearts.

JESSOP, Barbara Brown, R.N. (69) born in Windsor, Vt., August 29, 1933, passed away October 2, 2002. The family moved to Tampa, Fla. in 1948. Barbara graduated H. B. Plant High School in 1951. She attended and graduated Peter Brent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, Mass. During her career she worked at Tampa General, Centro Asturiano and Centro Espanol hospitals. In 1978 Barbara left Tampa to expand her career in Saudi Arabia. There, she also fulfilled her life long dream of traveling the world. After 12 years, Barbara returned to Tampa. In 1995, she retired from Tampa General ending a 44 year career of caring in ICU and Pediatrics. She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Leo Bonifield of Tampa, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Norman, Jr. and Hilda Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her surrogate sons Tom and Michael Keesy of Rock Island, Ill. Her love of children earned her, the title of `Grandma Barbara` to Ashley, Ellie, TJ and Mason Keesy of Rock Island, Ill., Lukas and Noah Bratcher of Spokane, Wash., and Kimberly and Kaylie Shrine of Khomis Mushyait, Saudi Arabia. She was a long time volunteer at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and t he Humane Society of Tampa Bay. She will be greeted in Heaven by her parents Norman Sr. and Polly Brown of Tampa, her brother Ronald H. Brown of St. Petersburg, her surrogate son Paul Keesy, and her best friends Irene Keesy and Peggy McGee. Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service to celebrate her life on October 15, at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, 350 S. Hyde Park Ave., Tampa, Fla. LA ROCCA, Joseph, 82, of Tampa passed away on Friday, October 11, 2002. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Ann La Rocca in 1997. Survivors include a son, John La Rocca; daughter, Jo-Ann Walsh and daughter, Kristine La Rocca; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Vera, Julie and Louise. Mr. La Rocca moved to Tampa in 1972 from Uniondale, N.Y. He was a retired General Contractor and an Army veteran of World War II. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002 at the South Tampa Chapel of Mark III Funeral Home. He was a mechanical engineer; M.I.T. Alumni, Class of 53; American Society of Mechanical Engineers; US Navy World War II veteran; Elks Lodge; Board of Directors, Sun City Center, Community Assoc.; Board of Directors for Mary Martha House and member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl M. Rodde of Salinas, Calif. and brother, Robert Mullen of Mass. He is survived by his wife, Rita I. Mullen of Sun City Center; two daughters, Karen M. Mullen of Ashland, Ohio and Denise M. Silva of Riverview; brother, William Mullen of New Hampshire; two sisters, Mary King of Mass. and Anne Lyons of Ga.; and seven grandchildren. NORLIN, Jean Ann, 78, of Tampa, entered into heavenly rest on October 10, 2002. She was a legal assistant for a large law firm in Detroit for over 15 years. She married Charles Norlin in Detroit on November 8, 1958. She is survived by her husband of 44 years; daughters, Betty, Judy, Luci, and Lori and her husband Mike Mondor and their two sons, Andre and Robby; sister, Grace Van Antwerp and her husband Bob and their children; brother, Albert Poole and his wife Lorraine and their children. She developed Alzheimer's in 1993 and was in an assisted living facility in Daytona Beach before moving into At Home With Friends ALF in Tampa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Jean to LifePath Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association. Memorial services will be held Monday October 14, 2002 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

PRESSNER, David M., 63, of Carrollwood, Fla., passed away in Lakeland on Thursday, October 10, 2002. He was a professor of Business at Kaiser College in Lakeland. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania , he earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He served as Dean at FMU in Tampa. He was recently voted as Vice President of the Optimist Club of Carrollwood. Survivors include his two sons, Daniel E. of Carrollwood and Michael D. of Richmond, Virginia; a sister, Linda Freedman of Marblehead, Mass.; and two grandchildren, Ross and Brittany Pressner. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, at Gan Shalom Cemetery, County Line Road, Lutz.

PULEO, Nancy Ippolito, 85, went to be with our Lord on October 10, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Thomas; her mother, Alfronsina and her father, Francisco. She was a lifelong resident of Tampa and a member of the Sons of Italy. Nancy was a devoted daughter, beloved wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving nature. Nancy was a wonderful caregiver to both her mother and husband. She is survived by her daughters, Angela Vincent and husband Jim, Florence Russ and husband John and Elizabeth Mercado and husband John, all of Tampa; eight grandchildren, Jimmy Earl Vincent and wife Mary, Donna DeNisco and husband John, Nicole Cihaner Russ, Monique Frisco and husband Chad, Mia Ordetx, Carla Bernal and husband Luis, Charles Thomas Russ and John Mercado, Jr. all of Tampa; four great-grandchildren, Alysa, John Vincent and Leah DeNisco and Malekai Cihaner all of Tampa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at St. Mary Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at 11:00 a.m., with entombment immediately following at L'Unione Italiana Cemetery. Vincent, John Denisco, Charlie Russ, Luis Bernal, John Mercado Jr., and Charlie Ippolito; Honorary Pallbearers; Chad Frisco, Joe Muley, Angelo Ippolito of Miami, Fla., and another Angelo Ippolito, Joe Cammarata and Sammy Guggino. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Blount Curry and Roel Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel, with a Wake Rite at 7:30p.m.

REYNOLDS, Clyde B. `Red`, 84, passed away October 10, 2002 after a year and a half, battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Florence M. Reynolds; sons, Richard and wife Sandra Lee, Todd and wife Sandra Kaye; daughter, Kathy G. Jones and husband, Robert; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Red was a popular musician and a fine entertainer in the Tampa Bay area for a great many years and was applauded by many for his comedic talents. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, E. Linebaugh and Central Ave., N. The family will receive friends in the Patio Room adjacent to the church immediately following the mass.
