LIVINGSTON, Mary E., of Wesley Chapel passed away Sunday, September 29, 2002 at the home of her son, Fletcher M. Livingston. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Livingston and her son, Charles H. Livingston. Survivors include her sons, Fletcher M. Livingston (Mary M. - wife), and William A. Livingston (D. Faye - wife); daughter-in-law, Vonda B. Livingston; her `other` daughter-in-law, Judy Wood; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. MARTINEZ, Andrew J.,age 84, of Tampa, passed away September 26, 2002. Born in Tampa, he was the eldest son of Tampa pioneers, Gregorio and Palmira Martinez. Andrew was a West Tampa native; a graduate of the University of Tampa; a founding member of the Mensa Society; a director of many fine theatrical productions; a generous supporter of the Spanish Lyric Theater; a charter member of the Tampa Arts Council; a founding member of the Tampa Historical Society; a member of the Centro Espanol de Tampa; and a premier floral designer. Andrew was a scholar, an artist and a poet. He was our brother, our uncle, our cousin and our friend. Surviors include his eight brothers and sisters, Matilda Martinez Garcia, Palmira M. Fernandez and her husband, Jack, Gregory L. Martinez, Zoraida M. Gullo, Wil liam J. Martinez and his wife, Elaine, Danilo C. Martinez and his wife, Doris, Hilda M. Tornillo and her husband, John, and Elvin L. Martinez and his wife, Sylvia; nieces, Janice Austin, Gwendolyn MacKinnon, Carlene Bellamy, Marsha Caray, Deborah Back, Patricia Tornillo, Viann Guzman, Lia Toledo, Sylvia Hasque and Danene Rice; nephews, Wayne Fernandez, Glenn Gullo, John Tornillo, Max Garcia, Jr., William J. Martinez, Jr., Andy Martinez, Vincent Tornillo, Gregg and Scott Martinez, Mark Tornillo and Elvin L. Martinez, Jr.; and 41 loving great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Centro Espanol Memorial Park. Pallbearers include his loving nephews.

McCAIN, Jr., William Aubrey (Bill), born May 15, 1958 passed away Friday, September 27, 2002. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at the Garden Of Memories Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. McCain is survived by his children, William Aubrey McCain III (Billy), and Kayelyn J. McCain ; his parents, William A. and Mary T. McCain (Sr.); seven brothers and sisters, Sandra Brown and husband Adrian, Danny McCain and wife Debbie, Terri Langford and husband Joe, Pam Costelow and husband Jim, Michael McCain, Dawn Wiest and husband John, and Trish Reed and husband Matthew; 18 nieces and nephews, as well as 11 great nieces and nephews. He loved his family, NASCAR racing, Bucs football, and life itself. God bless you Bill. We love you.

PARK, Charlotte Atkinson, 81, of Tampa, died Sept. 23, 2002. A native of Phoenixville, Pa., she was preceded in death by her husband, George W.Y. Park in 1961. Survivors are one son, Fred Park and granddaughter, Jennifer, both of Phoenixville, Pa.; one daughter, Mary Ellen Selesnick and granddaughters, Jill, Lauren and Katie of Tampa. A Memorial service will be held Oct. 1, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal in Tampa. Interment will be Oct. 4, 2002 in Philadelphia, Pa. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the St. Francis Society, 2780 E. Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612, Specifying the `Little Angels Fund`.

POLUZZI, Mary T., 82, of Lakeland, died Sept. 29, 2002. Survived by two daughters, Anne Marie Moran and Jessica Bronwyn; and one grandchild.

POWELL, Connie P., 83 of Tampa, an Angel took Connie by the hand as she entered Heaven's Gates on September 29, 2002. She fought her earthly battle with much strength and courage. Now Mrs. Powell is resting on Heaven's golden shores. Mrs. Powell was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and a great friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Powell is survived by her daughter, Linda Whitley; three sisters, Louise Rayfield, Johnnie Hunter, and Jeanette Wiedecker; three grandchildren, Jacqueline Moody, Ronald Whitley, and Randy Whitley; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Les Powell and her daughter, Jacqueline Powell Mrs. Powell served her Lord Jesus faithfully for many years. Mrs. Powell was a faithful member of of the First Baptist Church of Citrus Park for ov er 20 years. She loved and lived life to the fullest. Mrs. Powell will be missed by all who knew her. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Citrus Park Building Fund in her memory. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at the Blount Curry and Roel Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

RAMSEY, Sarah Moore, 84, of Tampa, Fla., now rests in peace with the Lord, as of Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002. Sarah, (or Sadie, as her father called her), daughter of Richard Lynn Moore and Annie Mae Wright Moore, was born in Mitchell, Ga. on Jan. 31, 1918 and moved to Tampa as a child. She attended Gorrie Elementary, Wilson Junior High, and Plant High School. On summer break from her studies at Florida State College for Women, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority, she had her first date with Maynard Ramsey, who was home for the summer from the University of Florida's College of Law. There ensued many commutes for both of them, between Tallahassee and Gainesville, until she graduated from FSCW and moved back to Tampa. In 1939, she and Maynard married. Maynard enjoyed Sarah's love, support and joie de vivre for 62 years, while she also carried out her role as homemaker for her family. She relished life, adored the Lord and her family, and gave each of her three children the loving environment and special attention in which each could thrive. Her engaging sense of humor was imprinted on each of them and was much appreciated by her many friends as well. She was a faithful memb er of Hyde Park United Methodist Church, with time out to be a charter member of Palma Ceia Methodist Church for several years. Sarah was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Junior League of Tampa and hosted a group of young women known as `The Tasters`, inviting them to `taste and see that the Lord is good.` She leaves behind her loving husband, Maynard, daughter Carol Ramsey Turpin and husband Fred of Tampa, son Dr. Maynard Ramsey III and wife Lynn of Tampa, son Richard W. Ramsey and wife M'Lisse of West Palm Beach, sister Marjorie Moore Chunn Cochran and a sister-in law Isabelle Ramsey Bregler, both of Tampa; grandchildren Lynn Turpin, Frederick Turpin, Jr. and wife Sarah, Rosemary Ramsey, Melinda Ramsey, Rebecca Ra msey, Leeann Ramsey, and step-grandson Saul Dolgin, two great-grandchildren, Ellen and John Ramsey Turpin, and many beloved nieces and nephews. A service celebrating Sarah's life will be held at Hyde Park Methodist Church on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, following the service. Memorial contributions in Sarah's name may be made to Hyde Park United Metho dist Church, 500 W. Platt St., Tampa, FL 33606, Metropolitan Ministries, Inc., 2002 N. RHODE, Wilma, 83, of Largo, died Sept. 29, 2002. Survived by daughter, Nancy Lyons of St. Petersburg; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

SIERRA, Abelardo `Abbey`, age 58, of Tampa, passed away September 23, 2002. He is survived by Sandra Sierra, his devoted wife of 36 years; son, Kevin Sierra, his wife, Lydia and their children, Olivia and Kevin; and daughter, Kristin Manck, her husband, Sean and their son, Cameron. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Sierra, Gloria Decker and husband, Emerson and Marion Garcia; aunt Ofelia Alvarez; uncle Oscar Sierra and wife, Dalia; aunt Adelina Menendez; many nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; and devoted family friend, Gloria Williams. He graduated from Jesuit High School and the University of South Florida. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Abbey Sierra was a prominent businessman in Tampa. He served as General manager of the Tampa Bay Bandits. F or the last 20 years, Mr. Sierra and his wife have owned and operated the Cruise Shoppe in Tampa. A parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church for 32 years, he was instrumental in the building of the present church. He served on the St. Lawrence School Board for 10 years and was president of the Tampa Catholic School Board for seven years. In gratitude to the Salesian Nuns who taught him in eleme ntary school, he successfully initiated the campaign to build the first retirement home for the Order. Hundreds of nuns have benefited from his endeavors. Honoring his Spanish heritage, he was a member of the Krewe of Sant'Yago and presently served on the Board for the Spanish Lyric Theatre. As a husband, father and abuelo, he will always be cherished for unyielding love and devotion. As a friend he enriched all the lives he touched and will be remembered for his loyalty, compassion and joy of life. A Funeral Mass will be offered for the repose of his soul, Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Monsignor Laurence E. Higgins, P.A., Pastor, officiating. Entombment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers include Emerson Decker, Andrew Massari, Ka rl Olander, Paul Sierra, Tony Fiorito, Bobby Alvarez, George Pollock, David VanderWall, William Wilson and Tony Artal. Honorary Pallbearers include all other loving family members and dear friends. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in memory of Abbey Sierra to St. Lawrence Catholic Church for establishment of The Abbey Sierra Foundation for the Elderly. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m until 10:45 a.m. in Higgins Hall at St. Lawrence Catholic Church (corner of Himes and Hillsborough Aves.)

STREDNAK, Ethel M., 75, of Plant City, died September 28, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, William G. Strednak Sr. She is survived by her son, William G. Strednak Jr. of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Carol Ryan of Plant City; brothers, Elton Johnson and Alvin `Red` Johnson, both of Plant City; sister, Evelyn Pace of Plant City; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Ethel was a musician, her last duo was `Ethel & Druby`. She was a retired teachers assistant, house mother at Florida Southern College, and was a member of First Baptist Church. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Thursday, October 3, 2002 in the First Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to services. VEGA, Nilsa V., 59, of Tampa, died Sept. 28, 2002. Survived by son, Timothy Velasquez; one brother; two sisters; and four grandchildren.

WILLIAMS, Brian T., age 54, of Tampa, Fla., passed away suddenly at his home on Sept. 28, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Freda; two sons, David and his wife Doreen of Ellicott City, Md., and Joseph and his wife Cynthia of Arlington, Va.; one step-son, Roger Briggs and his wife Renee of Tampa, Fla.; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Williams; two brothers, Arthur and Dennis, both of Utica, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by his sister Barbara Geddes, formerly of Utica, N.Y. Brian graduated from Notre Dame High School, in Utica, and Syracuse University, both in New York. He was a veteran of the Vietname War serving in the United States Air Force. Br ian worked as an Executive Senior Manager in the health insurance industry for the past 16 years, the last 8 for Aetna. Family will receive friends at Blount, Curry & Roel Funeral Homes, located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. on Wednesday, October 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 15520 North Boulevard. BAKER, George B., 73, of Vero Beach, formerly of Zephyrhills, died on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 in Vero Beach following a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born on Nov. 17, 1928 in Greenwich, N.Y., and was the son of the late, George and Mary (Searles) Baker. Mr. Baker was known to place his family and friends first above his illness. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Baker received many awards from the Woodlands Middle School in Zephyrhills, for his volunteer work as a mentor for disabled children. Survivors include four sons, George R. Baker and his wife, Karen of Sumter, S.C., Bruce K. Baker and his wife, Joan of South Glens Falls, N.Y.,James B. Baker of Vero Beach, and Steven D. Baker of Peru, Neb. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Georgie and Jeremy Baker of South Carolina, and Katharine (Katie) Baker of South Glens Falls, N.Y.; one great-grandson, Justin Baker; a brother, Arnold Baker and his wife, Donna of South Glens Falls, N.Y.; and two nephews, Larry and Thomas Baker of South Glens Falls, N.Y.. Funeral services will be held in South Glen Falls, N.Y.

She is survived by two daughters, Constance and Candace Beardmore of Zephyrhills; one son, Joshua Beardmore also of Zephyrhills; father, Marvin Heller of Kendallville, Indiana ; mother, Arlene Heller of Marathon, Fla.; two sisters, Laura Woodham and Debbie Hayford, both of Zephyrhills; two brothers, Kevin Heller of Kendallville, Indiana and Jason Heller of Marathon, Fla.; and grandmother, Alverna Heller of Sparta, Illinois. Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 4, at 4 p.m. at Oakley Funeral Home in Dade City. Friends may call from 2:30 p.m. until service time. BROWNING, Dorothy, 70, of New Port Richey, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002 at home. She was born in New York and moved to New Port Richey from New York. She was a retired production worker and a member of the Women of the Moose, Leisure Beach Lodge. Survivors include son, James Browning of Hudson; daughters, Pat Kent of Hudson and Karen York of Blue Ridge Mountains, N.C.; sister, Kathy Englet of Lake Butler, Fla.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service is Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Dobies Funeral Home. Burial following at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater.

CRENSHAW, Margaret, 81, of Zephyrhills, passed away September 29, 2002 in Zephyrhills. She is survived by three sons, William B. Pecinis of Zephyrhills, Robert Pecinis of Deerborn Heights, Mich. and Donald Crenshaw of Zephyrhills; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Mrs. Crenshaw was born June 6, 1921 in England and came to this area in 1990 from Harrison, Mich. She was a secretary in municipal government and a member of the St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her four daughters, Dawn Shreeve of Temple Terrace, Tamra Husslein of Zephyrhills, and Lisa Mon of Broomfield, Colo.; a son, Joseph Husslein of Guam; four grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Herron of Ashtabula, Ohio, Gleneva Zickefoose of Tallmansville, W.Va., Arabelle Thomason of Tallmansville, W.Va., and Sheila Hodges of Buckhannon, W.Va.; and three brothers, Orville Chewning of Franklin, Ohio, James Chewning of Conway, Pa., and Robert Chewning of Mabie, W.Va. Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2002 at Florida National Cemetery, with Deacon Roland officiating. Virginia was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict, a Catholic, and came to this area in 1994 from Tampa.

KORCZYK, Walter J., 79, of Zephyrhills, died Saturday, September 28, 2002 at East Pasco Medical Center. Born in River Rouge, Michigan, he moved to this area 10 years ago from Michigan. He was a retired Machinist for Barul-Vollett Machine Co. for 46 years. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Korczyk is survived by his wife, Joan of Zephyrhills; two sons, Steve and wife, Maria and Robert Korczyk, both of Michigan; one daughter, Diane Phelps of Dearborn, Michigan; one brother, Stanley Korczyk of Michigan; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

KUYKENDALL, Joy Lee, 70, passed away September 28, 2002 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Dade City, Fla., a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Ramer of Dade City, Fla.; three sons, Jack Daryl Kuykendall, Richard Andrew Kuykendall, both of Alabama and Ernie Dale Kuykendall of Zephyrhills, Fla.; three brothers, Roy Huffstutler and Jimmie Huffstutler, both of Dade City, Fla.; three sisters, Darlene Triplett of Alabama, Wanda Sutton of Lakeland, Fla. and Gracie Gatlin of Tampa, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services were held October 1, 2002 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Dade City, Florida.
