HERNANDEZ, Juan Pablo, age 20, of Tampa, passed away September 18, 2002. A native of Cucuta, Colombia and resident of Tampa for the past six years, Mr. Hernandez was a student at National Aviation Academy. He is survived by his mother, Clara Marcela Lopez; father, Gerardo Hernandez; brother, Carlos Mario Valencia and sister, Maria Marcela Hernandez. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 5902 N. Himes Ave. Cremation will follow.

HOWARD, Louise B., 87 of Tampa died September 19, 2002. She is survived by her son, Carl Howard of Tampa; sister, Mary Cook of Lakeland; and granddaughter, Cassandra Howard of Plant City. Louise attended Central Christian Church and was a fifty year member of Eastern Star - Mystic Chapter #110. Services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2002, at 11 a.m. in Haught Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to services. KEATTS, John Ladd, 73, of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002. He was born in Cadiz, Ky. Survived by his wife, Louise Keatts; son, Daniel and wife, Tatiana Minich; and daughter, Kathleen and husband, Keith Pankoe. John's death was a result of a rare blood disease called Primary Amyloidosis. John served in the US Navy on the only ship named after a woman, the USS Higbee, 1951-1954. He retired from the US Postal Service Regional Office as a Contract Specialist in 1987, after 30 years of service. He also retired from USF Registrar's Office in 1997 after 10 years of service. John volunteered at MOSI and was a faithful member of Lake Carroll Baptist Church for 30 years and a Deacon Emeritus. Special thanks to LifePath Hospice Blue Team and members of Lake Carroll for tender loving care and moral support. Services were held on Friday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. at Lake Carroll Baptist Church, 12012 N. Rome Avenue. The family did receive friends at the Church Friday, one hour prior to service time. Flowers will be accepted, or donations made to LifePath Hospice or your favorite Charity in John's name. Graveside services immediately followed at Orange Hill Cemetery. Following the Graveside services, food and fellowship was shared at Lake Carroll Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall.

MARTIN, Joseph Harry `Pop`, 68, of Valrico passed away on Friday, September 20, 2002. A native of Peru, Indiana he had resided here for five yrs. coming from West Palm Beach. He was a T.V. News Director and a Reverend at The Church of the Inner Light, Zephyrhills and attended Harmony in Tampa. He is survived by three sons, Nathan D. Martin and Harry J. Martin, both of Riverview and Michael A. Martin, West Palm Beach; daughter, Sheila Leigh, Gibsonton; two sisters, Barbara Handshaw, West Plam Beach and Marilyn Lambert, Ft. Lauderdale; and one grandchild, Joshua. Memorial services will be conducted 4 p.m. today (Saturday) at the chapel of Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the College Fund for Joshua Martin, % Louise and Harry Martin.

McMURREY, Walter R. Lt. Col. USAF (Ret), 90, passed away September 19th. Survivors include sons, Roger and Tyrone and their families. He was preceded in death in 2000 by his wife of 58 years, Katie Lee McMurrey. Following a distinguished career in the Air Force, Mac, as he was known to his friends, retired in 1961 and moved to Tampa. An avid golfer until age 88, he was a well known personality in local real estate for many years. For over 40 years he was an active member of the Palma Ceia Baptist Church where he contributed by teaching Sunday School. He was a long time member of the Tampa Bay Coin Club. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2002 at Blount Curry & Roel funeral home, S. MacDill Avenue Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. RODRIGUEZ CARERRO, Emilio, age 73, of Tampa, passed away September 19, 2002. A native of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and resident of Tampa for the past eight years; Emilio is survived by his son, Juan Rodriguez and wife Ada; daughter, Blanca Santiago Rodriguez and husband Felix Luis; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and several loving brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico. Funeral services will be held Puerto Real, Puerto Rico.

A native of Orense, Spain and resident of Tampa since 1954, Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her husband, Jaime Eugenio Rodriguez; daughters, Maria Del Carmen Shedrick and husband, Steve and Nieves Esperanza Shaw and husband, Bill; son, Eugenio Rodriguez and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Peter, Tony and Mia Lopez, Dr. Billy David Shaw. Eugene L. Christina and Gina Rodriguez; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Lake Carroll Cemetery. Everyone is to meet at the cemetery for the graveside services.

SIAR, Jack W., 61, of Tampa, Fla., died quietly at home surrounded by family on Friday, September 20, 2002. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. and grew up in Shawnee, Okla. After moving to Mesquite, Texas , he enlisted in the U. S. Navy at the age of 17. He served as an aviation electronics technician and retired as a Senior Petty Officer after 21 years of service. He began a second career in 1979 with AB Dick/Multigraphics in Tampa. He was the Florida District Service Manager. He was a member of Countryside Christian Center in Clearwater, Fla. He enjoyed outdoor activities and was an avid sportsman and hunter. He is survived by his loving family; Beloved wife of 41 years, Louise Siar; son and daughter-in-law, Jack, Jr. and Linda Siar; and grandchildren, Rebecca and Jacob (Roanoke, Va.); daughter and son-in-law, Robin and William Necker, Jr.; and grandchildren, Reba and William III ( Hampton, Va.); daughter, Kathie Siar (Tampa, Fla.); and three brothers, Sam Siar (Parker, Ariz.), David Siar (Plano, Texas ) and James Siar (Bull Head City, Ariz). A celebration of Jacks life wi ll be held on Sunday, September 22, 2002 at four o'clock in the afternoon at the Blount Curry & Roel, West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to LifePath Hospice of Hillsborough, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609 in his memory. Interment with full military Honors will be at Memphis Memory Gardens in Memphis, TN.

STRAUSS, Marianne McKinne Ellis, 93, passed away September 5, 2002 in Tampa. She was a native of New Orleans, who had lived in Augusta, Ga. for many years before moving to Tampa in 1954. A retired teacher, she had taught at Ruskin and Anderson Elementary Schools. She received her BA degree from Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University in 1930 and her MEd from the University of Florida in 1957. Active in many civic and educational groups, she was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and Daughters of the King, a past president of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honorary fraternity for women in education and Kappa Kappa Gamma, a social fraternity. She was a past President of the Junior League of Augusta and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Tampa, and a member of Colonial Dames of America, Tampa Town Committee. She was a member of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary and a charter member of the Tampa Audubon Society. She was an avid birder and traveled widely to enjoy her hobby. Her daughter Pamela Robertson Strauss preceded her in death in 1951. Two nieces, Louise Ellis Burnett of Tampa and Marianne Ellis Bradley of Palm Harbor; nephew, Benjamin Robert Ellis of Tampa; five grea t-nieces and great-nephews; eight great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; several God-daughters; cousins; and many friends, survive her. Private interment of cremains will be held in Augusta, Ga. Contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society, Nature Conservancy or charity of your choice.

GOSS, William E, 90, of Zephyrhills, died Friday September 20, 2002. He was born in Greene, Maine and came here in 1965 from Poland, Maine. He was a poultry farmer in both Maine and Zephyrhills and was a past Master of Excelsior Grange, Poland Maine. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dade City as well as a lifetime devoted Christian and faithful supporter of Moody Bible College and Transworld Radio. He dedicated his life sharing with others about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth; sister, Ruth; and two brothers, Ara and Julian. Survivors include, a son, Warren and Rose Ann, Zephyrhills; a daughter, Marion Sluder, Charleston, S.C.; three brothers, Harold, Maine, Elwood, Alabama and Paul, Fort Myers, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Gardens in Dade City.

GRENIER, Patricia R., 77, of Dade City, died Saturday, September 21, 2002. She was born in Millinocket, Maine and moved here in 1994 from Oakville, Conn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo E. Grenier. Survivors include two sons, Rudolph Graziano, Watertown, Conn., and Lee Grenier, Waterbury, Conn.; two daughters, Donna Mozingo, Fisherville, Va., and Karen Williams, Port Charlotte, Fla.; brother, Donald Lynch, Millinocket, Maine; sister, Virginia Michaud, East Millinocket; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; as well as two special friends, June Pelletier and Priscilla and Ted Allen, all of Dade City. Private services will be held in Watertown, Conn.

KNACKERT, Dolores Betty K., 76, of Holiday, Florida, died Saturday Sept. 21, 2002 at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs, Florida. She was born in Mason City, Iowa and moved to Holiday from Greenfield, Wis., in 1991. She was a retired dietary supervisor for nursing homes in Milwaukee, Wis. and attended St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church, Tarpon Springs. Survivors; daughters, Judy Bahr, Greenfield, Wis., Margie Engel, Hales Corners, Wis., Rose Knackert, Holiday, Fla.; brother, Jerrold Kozlik, West Allis, Wis; grandchildren, Michael Bahr, Watertown, Wis., Jennifer Ross, Milwaukee, Wis., Sara Engel, Hales Corners, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Bahr, Watertown, Wis., Heidi Bahr Watertown, Wis. LIRANZO, Mario Rafael, 54, of Hudson, Florida, died Thursday September, 19, 2002 at North Bay Medical Center, New Port Richey, Florida. He was born in Dominican Republic and moved to Hudson from the Dominican Republic in 1992. Memberships and Activities include; a handyman and Member Calvary Chapel Worship Center, New Port Richey. Survivors; wife, Maria Lourdes Liranzo, New York City; sons, Miguel Liranzo, Dominican Republic, Dirlonex Liranzo, Dominican Republic, Rafael Liranzo Dominican Republic; daughters, Maria Reyes New Port Richey, Fla., Marisol Liranzo Garay, Hudson, Fla.; mother, Maria Jacianta Susana, Dominican Republic; brother, Agustin Liranzo, Port Richey, Fla.; and 20 grandchildren. ANGLE, Eloise Faye, age 65 of Lakeland passed away Friday, September 20, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dewel H. Angle; sons, Mark and wife, Pam, Gary and wife, Connie, Dewel Jr., Michael and wife, Robin, Joseph and wife, Jennifer; daughters, Virginia Brinn and husband, Chester and Lori Ledlow-Andrew and husband, Christopher; sister-in-law, Wilma Newburn and husband, Ken; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all. A Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2002 in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

COLLIER, Kenneth William, Jr., 72, of Tampa, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, September 21, 2002. Ken was a Godly man that loved and led his family God's way. Ken was born on June 13, 1930 in Mutual, Ohio. He graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in Ohio in 1948. Ken gratefully served his country in the U. S. Army from Sept. 1948 to April 1955. He married the love of his life, Lydia Clo, on May 31, 1951. Ken was a manager at Sorg Paper Company in Middletown, Ohio for 20 years. Ken moved the family to Tampa in 1966 where he purchased the Collier home on the Hillsborough River. He was a member of Oak Grove Church of God where he raised his family, served and faithfully attended with many lifelong friends for the last 34 years. Ken joined the Independent Life Company in Tampa, and after 28 yea rs of service retired as a District Sales Manager. Since retiring Ken has been able to focus on his life's loves of family time,serving the Lord at his church and the Son Beam Vio De Cristo. He also enjoyed many hobbies; visiting down by the river, yard work, traveling, refinishing antiques, cooking and consuming large amounts of Tabasco sauce. Ken is survived by his loving family; beloved wife of 51 years, Lydia Clo Collier; his sons, Colonel Steve Collier and Terry Collier; his daughters, Sherry Walsh, Diana Lynn McDougall, Kathy Douglas and Cynthia Collier; his ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Collier, Michael Collier, Michael Collier, Michael Satino, Shannon Accord, Aaron Accord, Justin Accord, Logan McDougall, Lauren McDougall and Brittany Collins; his great-grandson, one month old, Camer on Michael Collier; his mother, 95 year old, Shirley Obryant; his sisters, Bobbie Ginneman, Betty Cordell, Denise Bogdonsky; his brothers, Donnie Pennell, Ronnie Collier and Dell Collier. Preceding Ken was their infant son, Johnny Ray Collier. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Collier residence on Tuesday September 24, 2002 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 6907 N. Brevard Blvd., Tam pa, FL. 33604. The going home celebration will be at the Oak Grove Church of God at 6830 N. Habana Ave., Tampa, FL. 33614 on Wednesday September 25, 2002 with visitation at noon and the services beginning at 1 p.m. to be followed by a recessional to Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Fund of Oak Grove Church of God.

CULBERTSON, Thomas Aloysuis, Jr., 79,died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002. He moved to Largo from New Hampshire several years ago. He was a World War II veteran. Survived by his wife, Janet.

PACKWOOD, Elmira, 91, passed away September 20, 2002. Myra was preceded in death by her husband, Norval 'Pack' Packwood, and she is survived by her stepson, Gene Packwood; daughter-in-law, Dolores Packwood; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and loving friends. Mrs. Packwood was a native of St. Louis, Mo., A private service will be held at a later date.

SHEA, Joseph Don, 88, a resident of Tampa, joined his beloved wife of 59 years, Anna Rose, on Saturday, September 21, 2002 after a long illness. Survivors include, his daughter, Joanne Shea Spencer and her husband Tim of St. Petersburg; his son, Don Shea, Jr. and his wife JoAnn of Valrico; granddaughters, Juanna Shea Noriega and husband, Albert of Valrico, Terri Redmon and husband, Lonnie of Canton, Ga., Donna Shea Denhoff and husband, Aaron of Brandon and Candace Pendry of St. Petersburg; grandson, Christopher Spencer of St. Petersburg and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Shea was retired from the U.S. Post Office and Shea and Prange Pharmacy. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa and a veteran of the U.S. Army. A wake service will be held at Stowers Brandon Chapel Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at 7 p.m. with Monsignor Laurence Higgins officiating. the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
