WILLIAMS, Mary Dahar, age 91, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., died Saturday, September 7, 2002 at home under the care of Hospice. Born in Belair, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late, James and Minnie (Ellis) Dahar. Mrs. Williams moved to Niagara Falls in 1928. She married Harris N. Williams. He died on October 14, 1969. Mary was a partner with her husband in the grocery and theater business for 40 years. In 1960 she became a real estate agent and broker. Mrs. Williams was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon RC Church where she contributed her time for more than 60 years. For 25 years, she was District Chairman of the Niagara District of the Bishops Committee through which hundreds of babies and mothers were visited every three months by a parish representative. Mary received the St. Joseph's Medal from the Bishop for her service to the Catholic Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed her family, friends of all ages, traveling, and the game of Bridge. Mrs. Williams was the wife of the late, Harris N. Williams; mother of Joseph N. Williams, J. Harris Williams, both of Grand Island, N.Y., Francis M. (Marie) Williams of Lewiston, N.Y. and Martha (Roger) Bennett of Youngstown, N.Y.; sister of Ann Thomas of Las Vegas, Nev., Teresa Geyer of Zanesville, Ohio and the late, Guy Dahar and Sadie Cavicchia; grandmother of Joseph, James, Jerome, Jon, Jeffrey, Teresa, Harris, Debra, Margaret Williams, Keith and Ruth Bennett; great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren; and aunt to several nieces and nephews. MACKIN, Charles E., 71, of Zephyrhills, died Monday, September 9, 2002 at East Pasco Medical Center. Born in Danville, Pa., he moved to this area eight years ago from Altus, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, a retired Flight Instructor, a member of the VFW, the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree in Zephyrhills and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She worked in food service for both Hernando and Pasco Schools for 33 years and retired as food service manager from Hernando County Schools. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Sue and Bryson Moody of Alma, Ga. and Jane and Larry Breeden of Lake City, Fla.; a son, Jerry and Kathryn Taylor of Ridge Manor, Fla.; a brother, Woodrow Shockley of Montezuma, Ga.; three sisters, Vera Corley of Dade City, Fla., Alfreda Duncan of Plant City, Fla. and Claudine Odom of Arkansas; and seven grandchildren. WATERS, Gladys Lucille, of Bronte, Texas , died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002 in Shannon Hospital in San Angelo, Texas . Graveside services were held at Hillside Memorial Gardens, Snyder, Texas . She was born on July 8, 1918 in Hamilton Country, Ill. She married Thomas Waters on March 30, 1956 and together they owned the Tiki Hut Restaurant in Dade City, Fla. Tommy Waters preceded her in death in 1975. Mrs. Waters later retired in west Texas . She was also preceded in death by a son, James Louis Downs of McLeansboro, Ill.; two sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include a sister, Helen Miller of Brownwood, Texas ; two daughters, Janet Sue Warren and her husband, Chuck of Snyder, Texas and Cindy Bucher and her husband, Chuck of Temple Terrace, Fla.; four grandchildren, Scott Warren of Snyder, Texas , Kelly Cruse of Carlsbad, N.M., Chrysta and Tommy Bucher of Temple Terrace, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Zachary and Mallorie Warren of Snyder, Texas and Justin Cruse of Carlsbad, N.M.
