PLOWDEN, Pete Vincent, 88, of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2002. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Ellen Plowden; grandchildren, Jennifer Bartlett, Michael and Jessica Plowden; great-grandson, Henson Bartlett. He was born in Manning, South Carolina and was a Tampa resident for over seventy years. He was an active member of AA with over forty nine years of sobriety. He was a Florida State Fair Volunteer. He was in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II aboard the USS Rhodes. He was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church. FICK, Marjorie M., loving mother of son, Richard Fick, and daughter, Ruth M. Schultz of Zephyrhills, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2002. `Margie` was born on November 10, 1921 in Dunkirk, New York. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Michalski of Dunkirk and Louise Switalski of Warsaw, Poland. She and her family moved to Zephyrhills in 1967. For two years, she worked as a nursing assistant at Lakeland General Hospital. She will be best remembered by many as a retail clerk at McCrory's in Zephyrhills until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Fick in 1986 and one sister, Beatrice England. Marjorie is survived by one brother, Donald Michalski; two sisters, Dolores Lentz and Jeanie Fijal, all of Dunkirk, New York, and several nephews and nieces. LOUND, Fredrick Canton age 84, of Holland Mich., and Zephyrhills, Fla., died Thursday, March 28, 2002 in Zephyrhills, Fla. Fredrick was born on March 27, 1918 to Fred and Nettie Lound of Shelby Mich. In 1943 he married Luetta Mae Georges, daughter of Carl and Opal Georges of Shubert, Nebraska. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater with the Army Signal Corps as a technical sergeant, and was a member of the DAV. He was employed as a switchman for Michigan Bell Telephone for 39 years and retired in 1980 and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holland. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Lound and sisters, Hazel Peters and Ruth Hogan.
