BACON, Celia DeLaney, 93, of Durant, passed away November 8, 2001. She is predeceased by her first husband, Rev. Dewey DeLaney. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Bacon; two step-sons, Ray and Ronnie, Sr.; one step-grandchild Ronnie, Jr.; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Her occupations were comprised of Sunday School teacher, song leader, organist, pianist, accordion play er, homemaker, and many others. She was a member of Forest Park Church of God and the Ladies Auxiliary. Although, she was never a parturient, her motherhood was innumerable and her mark will be etched in our hearts forever. CLAY, Nelda M., 90, of Sun City Center, passed away October 28, 2001, at her residence. She was born in Washington . D.C. and is survived by her loving pets, Tasha and Baby. She is preceded in death by her husband, Capt. William Clay. She was a government liaison working in Washington , D.C. and assisted with the coordination of Indian affairs. She portrayed Annie Oakley in a 1930's motion pictur e and in the 1940's, she and her husband opened one of the first Disabled Veteran shops. They also invented the glass Tiki Bird. She moved to St. Petersburg in the 1950's and was active in the American Red Cross and the Apollo Beach Power Squadron. Arrangements were under the direction of National Cremation Society.
