CAMPBELL, William H., 70, a native of Tampa, Florida, died peacefully on August 31, 2001 at James A. Haley VA Hospital Nursing Home. He attended Hillsborough High School and was a member 82nd Airborne Division from 1946-1949 serving in Germany. Mr. Campbell was the owner of Action Cartage Company and later worked in retail auto and truck sales and management. He retired `out to the lake` as the caretaker of King Lake Fish Club in Zephryhills. He was pre-deceased by his parents, James H. and Genevieve E. Campbell of Tampa and is survived by his daughter, Kathy Campbell Reisinger of Tampa; son, Bill Campbell Jr., of Valrico and daughter, Elaine Campbell Hossler of Tampa; his brother, James E. Campbell of Clearwater and Freddie Jo Rickerson of Tampa, as well as four grandsons; three grandd aughters and one great-grandson. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2001 at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park in Tampa at 2 PM. It is the family's wish that contributions be made to the VA Hospice unit or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

She served as a civilian dental assistant at the Drew Field Army Hospital in Tampa during WWII. She then married Dr. John J. Max was an active member of Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club and served several terms as a member of the Board of Directors. He was a member of Club Yana. ROBERSON, Douglas Mark, age 34, died suddenly of a heart attack on August 30, 2001. He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Mary Roberson; one sister, Cheryl Roberson of Ponte Vedra Beach; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Suzanne Roberson of Tampa and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Douglas was born in Wilmington, Delaware and resided most of his life in Tampa. He was an Eagle S cout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He graduated from Jesuit High School where he won many honors on the Debate Team. His senior year, he was named Junior Achievement ` President of the Year `. He attended Wofford College, Spartanburg, S.C., where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi. Douglas served as an Aide to United States Senator Lawton Chiles in Washington , D.C. while attending Wofford. He was employed by Fowler, White, Boggs and Banker for seven years. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home. ROGERS, Bryan Jones, 83, formerly of Tampa and Lutz, Fla. died on Thursday evening August 30, 2001 at the Lutheran Home in Salisbury, N.C. after a long illness. He was a loving husband, devoted father and compassionate friend. The family will receive condolences at the home of Bryan's sister, Glenn Yates, at 107 Bent Creek, Danville, Va. beginning Saturday morning, September 1st. Funeral servic es will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 2nd at Chestnut Level Baptist Church where Bryan was a deacon, teacher and superintendent of Sunday School, and member of the choir. A na tive of Dry Fork, Virginia, Bryan was born on March 30, 1918, to the late Munford and Dora Mays Rogers. He graduated from Spring Garden School and Hargrave military Academy, and attended Capital University in Ohio before joining the United States Army during World War II. While serving as the training commander for the Army Nurses Corp at Fort Devens he met his wife, Natalie Stevens, from Bangor, Maine. Following active duty, Bryan remained in the Army Reserves for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Bryan ran an insurance agency in Ohio before settling on the family farm in Blairs He and his brothers, Orlin and Aylor, owned and operated Rogers Restaurant and Rogers Men's Shop in Danville during the 1950's and 1960's in addition to farming. Bryan was involved in numerou s community organizations, including the Pittsylvania County Semi- Pro Baseball League, where he was a director and league president. He was also a scout for the Cincinnati Reds for almost 20 years. In 1959 Bryan joined International Minerals and Chemicals (IMC) where he was a sales representative and regional manager in Winston Salem, N.C., Hartsville, S.C. and Atlanta, Georgia, before retiring t o Danville. He later lived in Tampa, Florida and Hartsville before moving to the Trinity Oaks Retirement Community in Salisbury, N.C. A dedicated Christian and inspirational leader, Bryan had a wonderful sense of humor and great patience. He was kind and generous to everyone he met. In addition to baseball, he loved golf, and was thrilled to score a hole-in-one shortly after his seventy-first birt hday. Bryan leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Natalie Stevens Rogers of Salisbury, N.C.; four daughters, Nora Lea Reefe and husband Ed of Boca Grande, Florida and Linville, N.C.; Kate Smith and husband Frasier of Marietta, Georgia; Betsy Young and husband Greg of Midlothian, Virginia; and Susan Kelley and husband Randy of Charlotte, N.C.; and one son, Bryan Stuart Rogers of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Survivors also include sisters Anna Moore of Callands, Va. and Glenn Yates of Danville, and brothers Aylor Rogers of Blairs, and Lynn Rogers of Seneca, S.C.; Sisters Susie Barb of Columbus, Ohio and Nellie Owen; of Blairs and brothers Fitzhugh Rogers of Williamsburg, Va. and Orlin Rogers of Blairs preceded him in death.

ZUR-LINDEN, Margaret Kemp, of Sun City Center went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2001. She was born in Greenock, Scotland and retired to Sun City Center, FL. in 1994. She was a cashier for Fisher Foods in Canton, Ohio. She was involved in many activities at Kings Point and was an active member at Trinity Baptist Church, she sang soprano in the church choir.
