MARTIN, Ralph M., 81, of Tampa passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Elva Martin; daughter, Susan Martin; son, Tim Martin (Esther); son, John Martin (Susan); daughter, Rebekah Pucciarelli (Paul); grandchildren, Kathryn Martin, Stephen Martin, Bryan Martin, Sean Martin, Darren Martin, Kelsey Martin, Paul Pucciarelli, Jr. and Anne Marie Pucciarelli; sisters, Dixie Fowler , Bessie Aiken, Helen Richeson and Rachel Pierson. Mr. Martin was a member of the Gideons, Seminole Heights Baptist Church were he was Deacon Emeritus, a U.S. Army Veteran during World War II, a member of the Florida National Guard for 30 years and a member of the U.T.U. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 27, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Seminole Heights Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

McKINNON, Gordon, at age 72, passed from this earth Monday July 23, 2001 while surrounded by family and loved ones at his home on Davis Islands. Gordon is survived by his children David, Kenneth and Karen and their families, his wife Edna and her two sons, Bruce and Gary, his sister Twyla Jacklin, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who love him dearly. A wonderful man wi th a highly creative mind, Gordon has made many close friends across the USA and Canada with his dynamic personality and generous nature. Among his many accomplishments Gordon created Seamco Laboratories Inc. in 1968, a national company headquartered in Tampa, Fla. He was a pioneer in the epoxy river rock and Flo-Crete decking business, the creator of Foam WonderWall building system and the holder of numerous patents. Gordon will be greatly missed and will live on forever in our hearts. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Adams & Jennings Funeral Home. Jodi was a graduate of Chamberlain High School and the University of South Florida and was employed at Jackson's Bistro on Harbour Island. She was preceded in death by her sister, Robin and grandfathers, Earl F. Pegram and Robert J. Jennings. Survivors include her parents, Susan and Earl Pegram of Tamp a, brothers, Scooter of Montreal, Canada and Craig of Tampa and her grandmothers, Frances E. Pegram and Mary E. Jennings both of Cape Coral, Fla. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Clements Episcopal Church, 706 West 113th Avenue, Tampa with Fr. Al Chapman officiating. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years Nell Trice Roberts; two sisters, Edwina `Bootsie` Smotherman of Valdosta, GA and Minnie Williams of Peachtree, GA and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Roberts was Baptist by faith and served his country a s a Captain in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and was employed by the Burrougs Corporation for 35 years. Mr. Russo is survived by his beloved wife, Louise; son, Terry Russo and wife, Sally; daughter, Tanya Cabal and husband, Mike; brother, Frank Russo and wife, Violet; grandchildren, Michael and Connor Cabal, Mikell, Myler, Joshua, Jillian and Jessica Russo; nephews and nieces, Sylvia Flores and her children Geno and Kristie; John Russ o and wife Bonnie; Frank Russo; Rosaree Skidmore and husband Pat; Armando Flores and wife Judith and their children Mondy and Alisha; Robert Gonzalez; and Frances Caranante and her children Joseph and Dana. Mr. Russo was preceded in death by his nephew, Gene Flores. Mr. Russo was a native of New Orleans, La. and a lifelong resident of Tampa. He was employed with Coca Cola and Tampa Fronton for man y years. He is survived by his wife, Delores Echols Todd; one, son, George K. Todd Jr. and wife Karen of Ruskin; three daughters, Beverly Todd of Walton, N.Y., Susan Rodriguez and husband Tony of Jacksonville, Fla., and Rebecca Meyers and husband David of Bushnell, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jason Todd of Alexandria, Va., George K. Todd III of Ruskin, and Diane Halstead and husband James of Brandon; and one great-grand-daughter, Ashley Halstead of Brandon. Also surviving are one sister, Barbara Pratt and husband Richard of Bradenton, Fla.; two nieces, Barbara Pratt of Sarasota and Cindy Pratt of Indianapolis, Ind. one stepson, Adam Ripley and wife Sandy of Ruskin; one step-daughter, Rhonda Freeman and husband Drew of Bradenton; two step-grandsons, Christopher Freeman of Bradenton and Jack Ripley of Ruskin; four step-granddaughters, Selena Guajardo of Columbus, Ohio, and Sherri Guajardo of Lancaster, Ohio, Julia Freeman of Bradenton and Jordan Ripley of Ruskin; and one step-great-granddaughter, Maliya Guajardo of Lancaster, Ohio. He had lived in the Ruskin area since the 60's. Born in Stamford, N.Y., he attended Stamford Central School, Florida military Academy, he graduated from Bradento n high school and attended Florida State University. He moved to this area from upstate New York. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Korean Conflict. Mr. Todd was a member of the Masonic Lodge, past president of the Ruskin-Apollo Beach Rotary Club. He had been a member of the Stamford United Methodist Church prior to joining the Ruskin United Methodist Church. Mr. Todd served on the Boards of Direc tors of South Hillshorough Community Bank, South Bay Hospital and Bedding Plants International, and also served as president of B.P.I. from 1975-1977. He was co-founder of Speedling, Inc. in Sun City, Fla. An inventor, credited with numerous patents he was best known for the Todd Planter Flat which revolutionized the horticultural industry and the HydoGrid System of subsurface tennis court irrigat ion. At the time of his death he was co-owner and chairman of the board of directors of Welch Tennis Courts, Inc., the largest builder of clay tennis courts in the United States. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lewers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Ruskin United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lo oney officiating. Graveside services and burial will be Monday in Stamford, N.Y. Mrs. Welch was a longtime resident of the area and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. He is survived by two loving daughters, Roberta Aida of West Caldwell, N.J. and Janet Colchamiro of Merrick, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Gabrielle Lori Schiff, Jeffrey Todd Schiff, Eric Haruo Aida and Brian Isamu Aida. Mr. Wexler moved to the Tampa area in 1967 from Newburgh, New York. He was Jewish and a World War II US Army Vete ran. He was a newspaper printer, retired from The Poughkeepsie (NY) Journal, Poughkeepsie (NY) - New Yorker, and The Tampa Tribune. He owned a flea market business named The Yankee Trader. He also was a volunteer and Chairman of Volunteer Services at Town & Country Hospital for more than twenty years; a volunteer ambulance driver for the Angels of Mercy Division of the Red Cross, and a lifelong dedicated blood donor. YAVORSKI, Betty, age 76 of Tampa, passed away July 20, 2001. Survivors include her nephew, James Tucker; family of friends, Polly, Kathy, Wilma, Mary and many others. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa. and resident of Tampa since 1962, Mr. Yavorski was a member of Forest Hills Christian Church and a member of the Eastern Star Port Tampa Chapter #178. CRIPE-McALISTER, Oveta Blanche, passed away at Plaza West Nursing Home, Sun City Center, Fla., July 22, 2001. Her husband, John W. Cripe preceded her in death in 1955. Ms. Cripe is survived by son, Roger Duane Cripe of River- view, Fla.; daughter, Patricia Cripe Manning of Titusville, Fla. She has five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was born in Stone Bluff, Ind., March 1, 1907 t o parents Iva Pearl Nelson and Birtha Elmer McAlister and she had five brothers and sisters. Ms. Cripe and her husband came to Brandon, Fla. in 1953 and built and managed a large poultry farm on Bloomingdale Rd. She was a bookkeeper for Puritan Mills, Tampa for many years. She was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Brandon and helped begin St. Andrews Methodist Church on Bloomingdal e Rd. She helped with the Meals On Wheels for many years at St. Andrews. Ms. Cripe was deeply committed to her family and friends; her constant love and friendship will be missed greatly. She is gone, but will never be forgotten.
