Earnest, of Donalsonville, Ga.; Bobby J. Earnest, of Donalsonville, Ga.; John Delano Earnest, of Bluff City, Tenn.; Charles E. Earnest, of N. Tazewell, Va.; Arlie Ray Earnest, of Reidsville, N.C. and Dwi ght D. Earnest, of Pottsville, Ark. There are 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also surviving. He was preceded in death by mother, Bannie Wolfe Earnest and father, Daniel P. Earnest Sr., both of Tazewell, Va.; one son, Harold Eugene Earnest, of Boissevain, Va.; one sister, Mary Kathleen Earnest Meade, of Reidsville, N.C. and two brothers, Daniel P. Earnest Jr. of Bastian, Va. and Carr oll G. Earnest, of Lutz, Fla. He was a World War II veteran and served in the South Pacific area during World War II. A member of Lutz/Land O'Lakes VFW, The American Legion and a member of the Boissevain Baptist Church in Boissevain, Va. Viewing will take place at the Blount, Curry & Roel Funeral Home in Lutz, Fla. at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2001 with funeral to be held at the funeral home chapel Thursday, January 4, 2001 at noon. A native of New York, he resided in Tampa since 1974. He serv ed in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and was a graduate of Hofstra University. He worked in numerous cities throughout the U.S. as a special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, retiring after 20 years of service. Following his retirement from the F.B.I., he worked as a Staff Investigator for The Florida Bar for almost 19 years.
