BRYANT, Paul B., a widower, who resided at Bayshore Presbyterian Apts., died suddenly while at home on Monday, January 8, 2001. He was 74 years old. He is survived by his five children, Paul J. Bryant of Alabaster, Ala., James F. Bryant of Tampa, Fla., John R. Bryant of Charleston, S.C., Mary A. DiGangi of Knoxville, Tenn., and Cathy A. Sheehy of Greenville, S.C. He had six grandchildren. A Wo rld War II Navy veteran, Mr. Bryant retired from American Electric Power Co. of Canton, Ohio in 1976 and from Electric Machinery of Tampa in 1988. He had been an active officer during his retirement with the Tampa Power Squadron. Memorial services will be held at the Bayshore Presbyterian Apts. on Thursday, January 11, at 3:00 p.m. A quiet southern gentleman who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

CAPRIOTTI, Samuel A., 77, of Ruskin passed away January 9, 2001, at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. Formally from Philadelphia, Penn. he has been a resident of Florida for 21 years. He was a tank commander in World War II where he received many metals, served in all European battles and was wounded three times. He leaves his wife Janet of 30 years; two daughters, Paula and Anita and th eir husbands; three step children; Gail, Harvey and Paul; nine grandchildren; his sister, Mary Pasteur; a very good friend Howard Drapeau. He is a member of the Eagles, D.A.V., V.F.W. the Moose and the American Legion. No services scheduled. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery.

COLLINS, Lisa D'Eramo, age 41, of Tampa, died Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at her sister's home in Orange, Conn. In addition to her beloved parents, Lisa is survived by her cherished sons, Brett D. Collins, Ian M. Collins and Luke C. Collins, all of Tampa; her devoted brothers and sisters, Michael A. D'Eramo of Huntington, Conn., Gary J. D'Eramo of Bridgeport, Conn. and Eric M. D'Eramo and his wife Suzanne of Sandy Hook, Conn. and Gail D. Melkus and her husband Carl of Orange, Conn.; her loving companion, Martin L. Shine of Tampa, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a dear cousin Lola Szobota and her husband John of New Jersey; also many additional cousins. Lisa was born in Bridgeport, Conn., beloved daughter of Orest and Elsie Suffoletti D'Eramo and was a Trumbull, Conn. resid ent before moving to Florida nineteen years ago. She was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport Fones School of Dental Hygiene and was a hygienist for Doctor Muscaro, D.D.S. of Tampa, she was a member of the Florida Dental Hygienist Association. Lisa was a devoted active member and eucharistic minister for Christ the King Church in Tampa. GUARISCO, Ada Fleurette passed away January 5, 2001 at home with her family by her side. Born January 16, 1930 in Tampa, Fla., she was a 30 year resident of El Segundo, Calif. Mrs. Guarisco retired as an electrical engineer from the Northrop Corp. after almost 30 years of service. She is survived by her mother, Providence Velasco of Tampa; daughter, Laura (Larry) Janes; grandchildren, Robert a nd Amy Crichton, Jesica Janes; great-grandson, Jason and by her best friend and companion of 26 years, Gladys Dewole. Memorial services will be held Thursday 2:00 p.m. at the Douglass Family Mortuary, El Segundo, Calif. Celebration of her life to follow at the home of her daughter. HENDLEY, Helen Mae `Maizie, 59, of Tampa passed away Monday, January 8, 2001 after an extended illness. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 25, 1941, Helen lived in Tampa from the time of her marriage in 1960. In addition to a multitude of loving friends, she is survived by her husband of 41 years, Carroll Hendley; son, Kenneth Hendley of Tampa; daughter, Coni Hebert of Ft. Lewis, Wash., daught er, Kaye `Dulie` Holland of Tampa; mother, Dulinda Ernesto; sister, Penny Cagle; brothers, Albert and Gary Moniz, all of Honolulu, Hawaii; and one grandson, Armand Hebert, Jr. Helen was a member of Westshore Christian Church since 1971, she will be long remembered for her beautiful voice, infectious humor and genuine encouragement. Whether playing the ukulele at a gathering or laughing and talki ng one on one at all hours of the day and night, Helen's light shone for all to see. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Westshore Christian Church, 4100 S. Manhattan Ave, Tampa. A visitation will be held Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church. Hite of Tampa; sister, Betty Hisao of Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Hite in 1997 and her son, Richard E. Hite in 1975. Born in Rosedale West Virginia, Mrs. Hite moved to Tampa from Toronto Ohio in 1981.

HOLM, Roy Harold, 86, of Clearwater, formerly of Tampa, passed away January 8, 2001 at Vencor Central Nursing Home. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Sue Holm; his son, Royce Allan Holm and wife, Amy; his two granddaughters, Christina Holm and Deidra Schafer; his great-granddaughter, Taylor Schafer; his brother, Frank Holm; his sister, Ruth Casner and several nieces and nephews. He attende d Lake Carroll Baptist Church and was affiliated with Mason Fellowship Lodge #265, Harmony Chapeter #148, Scottish Rite, and an avid camper. KELLY, Mary Catherine, a native of Wisconsin and a graduate of St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Ind., died December 28, 2000. Her survivors are her husband, Jim of 50 years; son, James R. Kelly Jr., wife Jane Kelly and grandchildren, Colin and Erin Kelly of Houston, Texas ; daughter Maureen Kelly-Ostrosky and husband Stephen J. Ostrosky of Maryland; and one sister and six brothers. She retired from Tampa Catholic H.S. after a fulfilling career as an educator. A memorial service will be held at Christ The King Church on Saturday, January 13, 2001.

KENT, Jesse David, 20, died January 7, 2001, in Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; mother and father, Bonita Kent and Greg Payne, of Tampa, one daughter, Zoe Kent, of Tampa; two sisters, Lalena, of Orlando, and Daniele, of Beaufort, S.C.; grandparents, Bonnie and Armin Schutte, of Seminole, Fla., Betty W. Payne, of Sebring, Fla., Jimmy and Susie Payne and several other loving family members and friends. A lifetime Florida resident, he was a printer and a Baptist. Visitation will be January 11, 2001 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and services will be January 12, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. KERCHER, F. Elizabeth, 95, of Tampa, born September 18, 1905 in Dayton, Ohio, died January 9, 2001 at home. Elizabeth is survived by two sons, John W. Kercher, III (Diane) of Tampa, William H. Kercher (Linda) of Gresham, Oregon; four grandchildren, Lynn Kercher, of Tampa, Lee Kercher, of Tampa, J. Wesley Kercher, IV (Gina) of Tampa, William H. Kercher, Jr., of Franklin, Ohio; and four great-gra ndchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Kercher, Jr. in 1976, a sister, Frances Ingram and a brother, Henry Blakeslee. Elizabeth was a truly gentle and lovely lady, much loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 12, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, corner of Henderson Blvd. and San Miguel St. and Saturday January 13, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen, Indiana . Feeman, Tabetha Ritch, Steven Baxter, Stacey, Hailey and Christine Kiner, Ray Martinez, Jr., and Ricky Martinez; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Buddy Willie, St. Paul, Minn.; and sisters, Louise Willie and Marion Comford, both of St. Paul, Minn. LaMONTE, Charles, 84, of Valrico passed away January 8, 2001. Born as Salvatore Fortunato LoMonta in Harlem, New York City on June 15, 1916, son of Vincenzo and Giuseppina Pleschia LoMonta of Villafratti, Sicily. He is survived by his two daughters, Suzy LaMonte Evans of Days Creek, Oregon, and Ellen Willow LaMonte of the island of Malta and Valrico; his grandchildren, Nancy Lee LaMonte of Bra ndon and Benjamin LaMonte of Tampa; his daughter- in-law, Carol Rayburn LaMonte of Valrico; numerous nieces and nephews; and his companion, Darleen Mueller of Plant City. His wife, Avis E. Jones LaMonte died in 1984; and his son, Charles V. LaMonte, died in 1995. Graduated Brooklyn Technical High School and studied Architectural Construction at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Worked in the family trade as a plasterer before becoming a home builder. In World War II he served in the Army in the 8th Infantry Regiment as a Captain commanding an Infantry Company in Morocco and in the Rome-Arno area, Northern Apennines, and Po Valley of Italy. He received a Bronze Star Medal for bravery in 1944. In 1948 he became a building contractor in Long Island and Westchester County, New York. He mo ved to the Tampa Bay area in 1957 with business partners James and Hinx Shimberg and founded LaMonte-Shimberg Corporation which built Town n' Country Park. In 1981 he moved to Brandon and built subdivisions under the name Charles LaMonte Homes, Inc. He was a member of the Home Builders Association, the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, and was a long-time patron of the arts in the Bay area. In the 1960 s he donated the Charles LaMonte Art Gallery on Kennedy Blvd. to the University of Tampa. Donations in his memory can be made to Tampa radio station WMNF's Building Fund Campaign, 1210 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL 33603-4449.

MATHEWS, Terri Lynn Christie, 45, of Tampa, formerly of Muncie, Ind., died December 29, 2000, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Surviving are her husband of 12 years, James W. Mathews; three children, Joshua Christie, Jacob Mathews and Natalie Mathews, all at home; five step-children; and nine step-grandchildren. Mrs. Mathews was an organ donor. OVERBEY, Hildred Lee, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Nashville, suffered a stroke on October 11th, slipped into a coma on October 14th, and passed on to be with her maker on January 6, 2001. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William Clifton Overbey; three children, Constance O. Luttrell (Al) of Franklin, Tennessee, Linda Parker (Bill) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Thomas Lee Overbe y (Denise) of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Lynn Hussung (Michael) of Nashville, Tennessee, Charles Edwin Winger, Jr. (Erika) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Chris Winger (Amanda) of Memphis, Tennessee; Johnny Guffee (Amber) of Franklin, Tennessee; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Idlewild Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, on Thursday, January 11, at 4:30 p.m. (Vi sitation immediately following.) Born in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, on August 23, 1923, Hildred later moved to Louisville where she met and married her husband, W.C. They subsequently lived in Memphis, Atlanta, and Nashville before retiring to Sarasota, Florida, then finally settling in the Tampa area. In both Tennessee and Florida, Mrs. Overbey was an active member of several women's organizations, including Republican Women, the Florida Orchestra Guild, Red Cross Angels, and several bible and prayer groups. She was a former president of the Fidelis Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church in Nashville.

Mr. Parrish was a lifelong resident of the area, Air Force veteran, and a pipefitter with Local Union #123. Funeral services will be held Friday 2:30 pm from Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Hemphill officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:30 p.m. prior to service time at the funeral home.
