SIMMONS, Vernon Charles, 85, of Brandon. A loving husband, father, brother, granddaddy and friend, was reunited with his sweet Louise on January 18, 2001. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Verna Lou and David Worthington; daughter, Carol E. Adcock and her fiance Frank Hooker; sister and brother-in-law, Ewana and Joe Weaver; special brother-in-laws, Ronald I. and wife Ana Griffin an d Gerald W. and wife Delores Griffin all of Brandon. COLEMAN, Thomas L., age 51 of Tampa, passed away January 17, 2001. Mr. Coleman was born in Ypsilanti, Mich., and moved to Tampa in 1986. Survivors include his beloved wife, Kathleen; three sons, Gerald James Coleman and wife Erin of Annapolis, Md., William Thomas Coleman and wife Shannon of Seaburg, Texas , and Jason Edward Coleman of Tampa; his father, Laverne Coleman of Detroit, Mich.; two bro thers, William Coleman and Michael Coleman of Roseville, Mich.; and two sisters, Sylvia Lefkowitz and Mary Baird of Utica, Mich. Mr. Coleman was also loved very much by Brendan Malone. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Purple Heart. He was retired from Cadillac Motor Car, Detroit, where he worked as a design analyst in the engineering depa rtment. He most recently spent his time volunteering at the James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital where he accrued over 2,710 hours of service. He was a member of the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans). The family will receive friends Friday, January 19, 2001 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Wake Rite Service at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.

GRIFFITH, Graciene A., died January 17, 2001. She was born February 3, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pa. and came to Florida in 1934. She was the widow of William E. Griffith and was married for 54 years.
