DANE R. SLAUGHTER, 82, of Valrico died Tuesday at home while under the care of LifePath Hospice. A native of Chrisman, Ill., he moved to the area from Crawfordsville, Ind., in 1979. He was a retired owner of a plumbing company, a Mason and Presbyterian. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; a son, D. Richard of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Loretta Rabbitt of Valrico; a sister, Virginia of Chrisman; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great- great-grandchild. Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon.

ALFREDO SOTO, 61, of Spring Hill, formerly of Tampa, died Sunday. A native of Bayaman, Puerto Rico, he moved to the area in 1998. He was retired owner of Lizzie's Deli Inn in Tampa and Catholic. He is survived by his wife, Lizzie; a stepdaughter, Juanita Vinson of Tampa; three brothers, Roberto, Guiso and Heriberto, all of Puerto Rico; four sisters, Felicita, Julia, Iris and Maria, all of Puerto Rico; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. THOMAS LYNN TEETER, 70, of Sun City Center died Sunday at James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital. A native of Newfield, N.Y., he moved to the area in 1979. He was a truck driver, an Army veteran and a member of DAV and Southside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; six sons, Thomas Jr., Brian and Dan, all of New York, David and Brett, both of Pennsylvania , and Wayne of North Carolina; three daughters, Becke Buhlman, Denise O'Connor and Marlene, all of New York; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Cearley of Ruskin; a brother, Lynn of Virginia; two sisters, Dora Johnoff of Venice and Lucille Miller of Orlando; and several grandchildren. He was a master sergeant, bomber crew chief and air traffic controller in the Air Force, quality control inspector for Westinghouse, real estate agent and member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Frances; a son, Anthony of Land O' Lakes; two daughters, Teresa and Michelle Treadway, both of Tampa; a sister, Evelyn Palladino of Boston; and 10 grandchildren.
