Alfred R. Kobi
Alfred R. Kobi of Indian Lake Estates, Fla. died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at the Lake Wales Medical Centers. He was 79.
He was born May 20, 1924, in Weinfelden, Switzerland. He moved to Lake Wales from Lakewood, N. J. 13 years ago.
Mr. Kobi was a supervisor for Swiss Air and he enjoyed woodworking and painting mountain landscapes.
He is survived by his wife, Ursula Kobi of Indian Lake Estates; a son, Bero Kobi of Lakewood, N.J.; a brother, Herbert Kobi of Switzerland; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
There are no services scheduled. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

George W. Massey
George W. Massey of Lake Wales, Fla., died Friday, July 18, 2003 at his residence. He was 82.
He was born June 21, 1921 in Geneva, Ala. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and was a retired heavy equipment operator for Mammoth Sand. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Lake Wales. He moved to Lake Wales from Avon Park, Fla. in 1951. He enjoyed gardening and helping his grandchildren with Youth Fair projects.
He is survived by his wife, Irene T. Massey; three sons, Harold J. Massey, Hoyt W. Massey and Huston L. Massey, all of Lake Wales; a brother, Joe L. Massey of Hilliard, Fla.; a sister, Bessie Hobbs of Auburndale, Fla.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 22 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home officiated by Rev. A.J. Steverson. Interment followed at the Lake Wales Cemetery.

Besty B. Moore
Betsy B. Moore of Babson Park, Fla. died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at the Lake Wales Medical Centers. She was 80.
She was born July 2, 1923, in Athens, Ohio and came to Lake Wales from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. 13 years ago.
Mrs. Moore was a retired personal shopper for Burdines Department Store in Ft. Lauderdale. She was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed taking care of her home.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Moore of Babson Park, Fla.; a daughter, Rebecca M. McMann of Babson Park; a son John Robert Moore of Orlando, Fla.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Richard L. Osborne
Richard L. Osborne of Lake Wales, Fla., died Thursday, July 17, 2003. He was 46.
He was born on May 1, 1957 in Canton, Ohio and has been a resident of Lake Wales since 1990. He was employed by IHOP in Lake Wales for 12 years.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Osborne and Bryan Osborne, both of Lake Wales; mother, sisters and brothers in Canton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held in Canton, Ohio on Wednesday, July 23. Interment followed at North Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held locally at a later date.

Franklin D. Trammell
Franklin D. Trammell of Lake Wales, Fla. died Monday, July 14, 2003 at the Lake Wales Medical Centers. He was 63.
Mr. Trammell was born April 11, 1940 in Midland, Ala. He came to Lake Wales from Hartford, Ala. in 1955. He was an owner/operator and service technician of Sunshine AC in Lake Wales. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Trammell of Lake Wales; four sons, Franklin D. Trammell, Jr. of Franklin, S.C., Frankie Trammell, Jr., John D. Trammell and Richard E. Trammel all of Lake Wales; three brothers, David D. Trammel of Wahneta, Fla., Collie D. Trammell and Kenneth Trammell, both of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 17 at 10 a.m. at the graveside at Lake Wales Cemetery with Rev. Mark D. Hodges officiating.
Family will receive friends at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Gertrude J. Davis
Gertrude J. Davis of Fedhaven, Fla. died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport, Fla. She was 84.
She was born April 7, 1919, in East Hampton, N.Y. and moved to Fedhaven 21 years ago from East Hampton.
Mrs. Davis was a retired registered nurse and a graduate of Saint John's Episcopal Nursing School in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Davis and a son, Jackie Davis.
She is survived by a son, Robert E. Davis of Springs, N.Y.; a sister, Emma Mae King of Springs, N.Y. and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be announced in Springs, N.Y. with inurnment to be held at Greenriver Cemetery.

Howard L. Grubb
Howard L. Grubb of Leipsic, Ohio died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at the Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora. He was 89.
He was born March 29, 1915, in Blanchard Township, Putnam County, Ohio and he was a winter resident of Lake Wales, Fla. at the Kissimmee River Park from 1973 to 2000.
Mr. Grubb was a retired farmer and dairy farmer. He was a life-member of the Pleasant Hill Bible Church where he held many offices in the church. He was a member of the Flying Farmers of America and the Gilboa Farmers Institute. He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales. He was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting, fishing and football.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Larry, Howard Gene and Norman Grubb; a brother, Cloyd Grubb and a sister, Mary Roach.
Mr. Grubb is survived by his wife, Bonwada Barger Grubb of Leipsic; a son, Michael L. of Leipsic and a daughter, Bonnie M. Haughn of Wabash, Ind.; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held Sunday, April 4, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 5, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Bible Church.
Interment was held at the McComb Union Cemetery.
