Thomas Ferri, 71

Thomas Ferri, 71, of Oxford, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999. Born in Bristol, Penn., he moved to Oxford in 1973 from Morrisville, Penn. He was a retired businessman. Mr. Ferri was a member of Abundant Life Church of God. He was the founder of the Golden Years Ministry. Survivors include his wife, Lorriane; two daughters, Carole Greene of Wildwood and Sandra O'Steen of Oxford; three brothers, Angelo, David and Dick, all of Penn.; two sisters, Rose Ferri and Virginia Plunto, both of Penn.; and three grandchildren. A memorial service for Thomas Ferri was held on Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at 7 p.m., at the Wildwood Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Golden Years Ministries, 10127 County Road 114 C, Wildwood, FL 34785.

Henry J. Fort, 71

Henry J. Fort, 71, of Salt Springs, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999. Born in Oxford, he moved to Salt Springs in 1970. He was a farmer/rancher. Mr. Fort served in the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his mother, Leola Fort of Wildwood; wife, Floretta of Salt Springs; son, Blaine of Oxford; daughter, Marsha Shortwell of Ocala; brother, Ethan Fort of Oxford; two sisters, Delma Stewart of Sanford and Iris Harris of Lakeland; and three grandchildren. Funeral services for Henry J. Fort were held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Oxford, with Rev. Don Manley and Chuck Miles officiating. Interment followed in Nichols Cemetery. This information was provided by Banks-Page-Theus Funeral home in Wildwood.

Larry R. Locke, 51

Larry R. Locke, 51, of Leesburg, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999. Born in Ocala, he lived many years in Wildwood before moving to Leesburg. He was a salesperson at Wal-Mart. Mr. Locke was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Survivors include his mother, Jaynell Locke of Wildwood; a niece and two nephews.

Terry Lynn Lopez, 44

Terry Lynn Lopez, 44, of Istachatta, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999. Born in Kalamazoo, Mich., he moved to Central Florida in 1988 from Virginia. Mr. Lopez was a construction worker and an Army veteran. Survivors include a son, Bobby Lopez of Nobleton; two brothers, Mike Lopez of Pueblo, Colo., and Danny Lopez of Denver, Colo; sister, Susan Tope of Millsberry, Ind.; father, Joe Lopez of Pueblo, Colo. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Victoria E. Quinones, 46

Victoria Ellen Quinones, 46, of Webster died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, in Inverness. Born in Atlanta, Ga., she moved here 15 years ago from Georgia. Ms. Quinones was a house cleaner. She was Baptist. Survivors include a son, James Palmer Bennett of Jonesboro, Ga.; three brothers, Russell Earl Droney of Dallas, Ga., Hugh D. Singleton of Casselberry, Charles D. singleton of Bushnell; three sisters, Dollie Marie Singleton, Ga., Carolyn D. Clark of Webster, and Martha W. Long of N.C. A Memorial Service for Victoria Quinones was held Jan. 4, 2000 at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Bushnell.

Ronnie D. Rice, 33

Ronnie D. Rice, 33, of Summerfield died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala. Born in Prestonburg, Ky., he moved to Central Florida in 1972 from Winchester, Ky. Mr. Rice was a 1984 graduate of Wildwood High School. He attended the Adamsville Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Faye Rice of Wildwood; daughter, Kelsey A. Rice of LaBelle; brother, Michael C. Rice of Wildwood; grandmother, Nettie M. Roberts of Wildwood; several great aunts and uncles in Florida and Kentucky. Funeral services for Ronnie D. Rice were held Jan. 6, 2000 in the Banks-Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood. Interment will be in Hippo, Ky.

Zolton Joseph Szilasy, 62

Zolton Joseph Szilasy, 62, of Bushnell died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999. Born in Ontario, Canada, he was a winter resident of Bushnell for the last 10 years from Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada. Mr. Szilasy was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Debrah; three sons, Raymond Szilasy, Darrin Szilasy, Steven Szilasy, all of Chatam, Ontario, Canada; daughter, Karen Szilasy of Chatam, Ontario, Canada; brother, Steve Szilasy of Chatam, Ontario, Canada; sister, Helen Burton of Markham, Ontario, Canada. Purcell Funeral Home of Bushnell handled the arrangements.

Debbie L. Tillman, 47

Debbie L. Tillman, 47, of Wildwood died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000. Born in Leesburg, she lived in Sumter county all of her life. Mrs. Tillman was the owner of Debbie's Jewel Box in Wildwood. She was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Jeremy L. (Lisa) Tillman of Wildwood; parents, terry and Flo LaVeigne of Wildwood; sisters, Cheri Coniglio and Gina McDonald, both of Wildwood; brother, David LaVeigne of Wildwood. Banks-Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, handled the arrangements.

John Ujvarosi, 44

John Ujavarosi, 44, of Oxford, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999. Born in Oredea, Romania, he moved to Wildwood in 1980 from Belleview. Mr. Ujvarosi was a construction foreman. He attended the Wildwood United Methodist Church and served in the Romanian Army. Survivors include his father and stepmother, John and Florence Ujvarosi; his wife, Bonnie Keen; one son, John of Romania; two stepsons, Brian Eslinger of Oxford and Brad Keen of Wildwood; one grandson; and many loving friends. Memorial services for John Ujvarosi were held Saturday, Jan. 1, in the Wildwood United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lake County Banks-Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood.

Charles L. Beaumont, 88, Machinist

Charles Lee Beaumont, 88, of Bushnell, formerly of Brookside, died on Saturday, March 4, 2000, at the Leesburg Florida Regional Medical Center. Born in Waterford, Pa., on July 16, 1911, a son of the late Charles and Mattie Dennington Beaumont, he moved to Florida in 1979 from the Erie, Pa., area. Mr. Beaumont last worked as a machinist at the Sterling Seal in Erie and was retired. He had also owned and operated Baumont's Garage in Brookside for a number of years. Survivors include his wife, Frances Burg; Beaumont a daughter, Carol Straley and her husband James of Beaver Falls, Pa.; two grandchildren, Douglas James Straley and his wife Kelly, and Darcy Leigh Straley; a sister, Gertrude Schroeder of Erie, Pa. Funeral services were at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie, Pa., on March 10, 2000. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery.

Herbert J. Crenshaw III, 50, sheriff's deputy

Herbert Joseph "Joe" Crenshaw III, 50, of Gainesville died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. Born in Fort Walton Beach, he lived in Gainesville for 30 years. Mr. Crenshaw was an Alachua County Sheriff's Deputy.

He was Methodist. Survivors include his parents, Herbert and Anne Crenshaw of Coleman; son, Herbert Joseph Crenshaw IV of Norfolk, Va.; two daughters, Jennifer Kay Crenshaw of Orlando and Stephanie Suzanne Crenshaw of Miami. Banks-Page-Theus Funeral Home provided the information.

Edward L. Franklin, 77, Farmer

Edward Leroy Franklin, 77, of Webster died Friday, March 3, 2000, in Leesburg. Born in Wimauma, he was a resident of Sumter County since 1943, formerly of Wimauma. Mr. Franklin was a farmer. He was a member of Linden Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Winell; two sons, Ron Franklin of Bushnell and Roger Franklin of Orlando; two brothers, James A. and Joseph M. Franklin, both of Webster; three sisters, Wanda Fugate, Patricia Allen and Margaret Williams, all of Webster; six grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Franklin were held March 5, 2000 at the Linden Church of God in Linden with the Rev. Lee Burnham, The Rev. M.T. Williams, and The Rev. James A. Franklin officiating. Interment followed at the Linden Cemetery, Linden.

The family received friends at the Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell.

Sherry M. Greene, 49, Center Hill

Sherry Margene Greene, 49, of Center Hill died Thursday, March 2, 2000. Born in Leesbsurg, she lived in Sumter County most of her life. Survivors include her significant other, Pat Wynn of Center Hill; sister, Gretta Ballard Shay of Coeurd'Alene, Idaho; nephew, Charlie Walker; nieces, Julie Mitten and Sara Moon; 1 great nephew; one great niece; one great uncle, Carl Tucker of Belleview; aunt, Elva Reid Hemmer of Bushnell; two uncles, Frankie and Jerald Reid, Bushnell. Memorial services for Sherry Greene were held March 8, 2000 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Webster, with the Reverend Ron Sumpter officiating.

Anna Leho, 87, Real estate agent

Anna Leho, 87, of Wildwood died Sunday, March 5, 2000. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she moved to Wildwood in 1997. Mrs. Leho was a retired real estate sales agent. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul's Catholic Church and a member of the Continental Country Club Ladies Club. Survivors include her daughter, Georgean Callahan of Wildwood; sister, Antoinette O'Flanagan of Grand Island; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg, handled the arrangements.

Etta D. Murdock, 85, Beautician

Etta D. Murdock, 85, of Winter Garden died Sunday, March 5, 2000. Born in Ficklin, Ga., she moved to Winter Garden in 1996 from Wildwood. Mrs. Murdock was a retired beautician. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Force. She was Baptist. Survivors include a son, Mark Murdock of Deltona; sisters, Gertrude Hoff of Winter Garden and Ethel Harman of Wildwood, and one niece. Banks-Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, handled the arrangements.

Janis McGee O'Berry, 70, Title examiner

Janis McGee O'Berry, 70, of Lake Panasoffkee died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. Born in Cross City, she lived in Lake Panasoffkee since 1996, formerly of Dade City and raised in Sebring. Mrs. O'Berry was a title researcher and partner in Bushnell Title Services, Inc. since 1992. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake Panasoffkee. Survivors include four daughters, Kaye H. Anderson of Thompson, Ga., Cynthia H. Ogle of Lake Panasoffkee, Evelyn H. Rosier of Coleman, Donna O. Campbell of Dade City; mother, Mary Lois McGee of Sebring; brother, Benjamin Hunt McGee Jr of Sebring; two sisters, Joyce Bovard of Sebring, Peggy Jones of Sebring; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services for Mrs. Janis McGee O'Berry were held March 4, 2000 at the Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Bushnell, with Pastor R. Jon King and Mr. Kyle O'Berry officiating. Interment at Chapel Hills Garden, Dade City.

Eugene Roberts, 77, Binder

Eugene Roberts, 77, of Lake Pansoffkee died March 3, 2000 in Inverness. He was born in Jenkins, Ky. Mr. Roberts was a binder for a publishing company. He was an Army veteran. He was Protestant. Survivors include one son, Tim Roberts of Westfield, Ind.; two daughters, Pam Weisenberger and Sandra Stratton, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; brother, James Roberts of Williamsburg, Ky; sister, Gwen Oppelt of Lucasville, Ohio; and six grandchildren. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.
