Arthur Butterworth
WILLISTON - Arthur Wilbur Butterworth, 83, of Williston died Saturday, June 10, 2000 at Windsor Manor Nursing Home in Starke following an extended illness.
Born in Boston, Mr. Butterworth moved to Starke over a year ago from Williston. He was a Jehovah's Witness and was retired from Union Pacific Railroad.
Mr. Butterworth is survived by: his wife Louise Butterworth of Williston; a son Arthur W. Butterworth III of San Diego, Calif.; two step-daughters and two step-sons; 74 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Butterworth will be held at a later date at Peoria cemetery in Orange Park. Jones Funeral Home of Starke will be in charge of arrangements.
Oren Derkman
STARKE - Oren Thomas Derkman, 87, of Starke died Thursday, June 8, 2000 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Plant City, Mr. Derkman moved to Starke in 1953 from Avon Park. He retired from Florida National Guard and was a member of UDC. He was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church.
Mr. Derkman is survived by: his wife Blonnie Mae Derkman of Starke; a daughter Sheryl D. Allen of Keystone Heights; a son Thomas R. Derkman of Keystone Heights; a brother Richard Derkman of Avon Park; a sister Marba Whittle of Starke and four grandchildren, Samantha Allen, Ryan, Lindsey and Kaitlyn Derkman.
Funeral services for Mr. Derkman were June 11, 2000 at Madison Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott and Jeff Crook conducting the services. Interment was in Bougainvillea cemetery in Avon Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in Starke.
Daisy Devin
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Daisy M. Devin, 77, of Keystone Heights died Thursday, June 8, 2000 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Green Cove Springs, Mrs. Devin moved to Keystone Heights in 1983 from Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Mrs. Devin is survived by: two daughters, Pat Harstick of Spring, Texas, Donna Ard of Keystone Heights; two sons, Frank C. Rigdon Jr. of Lake Butler and Ernest C. Rigdon of Baldwin; two brothers, J.W. Manning of Tioga, Texas and Marvin Manning of Jacksonville; three sisters, Effie Taylor and Lucille White, both of Keystone Heights, and Frances Boone of Norwood, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Devin were June 10, 2000 in Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Kimbrell conducting the services. Interment was in Beulah cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Keystone Heights.

Michael Dwelle
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Michael Perry Dwelle, 49, of Keystone Heights died Sunday, June 11, 2000 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Jacksonville, Mr. Dwelle moved to Keystone Heights in 1984. He was a teacher with the Clay County School System for 14 years. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Melrose.
Mr. Dwelle is survived by: his wife of 26 years Linda Dwelle of Keystone Heights; a daughter Jennifer Dwelle of Jacksonville; two sons, Jonathan Dwelle and Joshua Dwelle of Keystone Heights; a brother George Dwelle of Jacksonville and a sister Cindy Westbrook of Jacksonville.
Funeral services for Mr. Dwelle will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2000 at Faith Presbyterian Church in Melrose with the Rev. Melana Scruggs officiating. Burial will be in Gadera cemetery in Keystone Heights under the direction of Moring Funeral Home of Melrose.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2000 at Faith Presbyterian.

Roy Fillyaw
JACKSONVILLE - Roy E. Fillyaw, 75, of Jacksonville died Thursday, June 8, 2000 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville following an extended illness.
Born in Ashburn, Ga., Mr. Fillyaw lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He retired from the Duval County School Board as an electrician and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Murray Hill Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
Mr. Fillyaw is survived by: a son Allen Fillyaw of Tallahassee; two daughters, Connie Kennedy of Keystone Heights and Patti Barton of Jacksonville; two brothers, Elbert Fillyaw of Minneapolis, Minn. and Thomas Fillyaw of Maine and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Violet I. Fillyaw.
Funeral services for Mr. Fillyaw were June 13, 2000 in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with the Rev. W.R. Smith and the Rev. Jay Stuckey officiating. Burial followed in Dekle cemetery in Lake Butler.
Willard Gibson
JACKSONVILLE - Willard R. Gibson, 79, of Jacksonville died Saturday, June 3, 2000 at his residence.
Born in Winder, Ga., Mr. Gibson lived in Jacksonville for over 50 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from U.S. Gypsum.
Mr. Gibson is survived by: his wife Loca Bell Gibson; four daughters, Shirley Hickox and Dora Lee Landry, both of Jacksonville, Sherry Lynn Weidenaar of Hilliard and Melba Marshall of St. Cloud; three sons, William R. Gibson of Fernandina Beach, Ralph P. Gibson of Jacksonville and Jimmy C. Gibson of Callahan; two sisters, Ernestine Culbertson and Virginia Bohammon, both of Greenville, S.C.; 26 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Gibson were June 6, 2000 in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home in Jacksonville with the Rev. Herb Phinasee officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Robert Hansen
LAKE GENEVA - Robert Hansen, 55, of Lake Geneva died Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Hansen moved to Lake Geneva in 1996 from Layton, Utah. He was of the Baptist faith and was a self-employed truck driver. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961-66.
Mr. Hansen is survived by: his wife Carol A. Hansen of Lake Geneva; two daughters, Cathy Hansen of Colchester, Conn. and Jennifer Hansen of East Hartford, Conn.; four brothers, Ted Hansen of Arizona, Hank Hansen of Chaplin, Conn., Edward Hansen of Bristol, Conn. and Bill Hansen of Maine; a step-brother Jeff Hansen of Coventry, Conn.; four sisters, Helen Hansen of Manchester, Conn., Peggy Kasaloukas of Enfield, Conn., Carol Hansen of South Windsor, Conn. and Karen Hansen of Coventry.
Memorial services for Mr. Hansen will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2000 at Lake Area Bible Church with Pastor Danny Smartt conducting the services. Interment will be at a later date under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Keystone Heights.
William Harris
STARKE - William "Buddy" Riley Harris, 83, of Starke died Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at Windsor Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, Ga., Mr. Harris has lived in Bradford County since an early age. He was a self-employed cattleman. He was a member of the New Congregational Methodist Church of God Faith.
Mr. Harris is survived by: a son Donald Harris of Starke; three daughters, Jeanette Pressley, Betty Ratcliffe and Pat Forsyth, all of Starke; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Harris were June 9, 2000 in the Chapel of Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke with the Rev. Gene Bass officiating with burial in Crosby Lake Cemetery.
Thomas Hill
MELROSE - Thomas Theodore Hill, 77, of Melrose died Saturday, June 10, 2000 at Windsor Manor Nursing Home in Starke.
Born in Warwick, R.I., Mr. Hill moved to Melrose from Jacksonville 30 years ago. He was a retired architectural draftsman and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Hill is survived by: his wife Bessie Lee Hill of Melrose; a son Arthur T. Hill of California; a sister Doris Roe of Catskill, N.Y. and three grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mr. Hill were June 13, 2000 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park with the Rev. George Katzman officiating. Arrangements were under the care of Moring Funeral Home of Melrose.
Irene Kelly
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Irene Kelly, 89, of Keystone Heights died Saturday, June 10, 2000 in Hampton following an extended illness.
Born in Patterson, N.J., Mrs. Kelly moved to Keystone Heights several years ago. She was a member of Lake Hill Baptist Church and Keystone Senior Services.
Mrs. Kelly is survived by: a daughter Kathleen Simmons of Ocala and two grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Kelly were June 13, 2000 at Gadara cemetery with the Rev. Ray Johnson conducting the services. Jones Funeral Home of Keystone Heights was in charge of arrangements.
Luz Pacheco
STARKE - Luz Milagros Pacheco, 42, of Starke died suddenly on Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at her residence.
Born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Pacheco moved to Starke in 1977 from Puerto Rico. She was a homemaker and attended Sampson City Church of God.
Mrs. Pacheco is survived by: a daughter Emily Torres Gonzalez of Hampton; two sons, George Torres of Starke and Jose Torres of Daytona Beach; her mother Secundina Aviles of Puerto Rico; her step-mother Sonia Aviles of Hampton; five brothers: Juan Aviles, Carlos Aviles, Vilmaris Aviles, Robin Aviles and Victor Burtron, all of Florida; five sisters, Sandra Aviles, Jose Aviles, Rey Aviles and Hector Aviles, all of Hampton, and Noemi Aviles of Fairbanks and eight grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Pacheco were June 9, 2000 at Santa Fe cemetery in Hampton with the Rev. Gene Bass conducting the service. Jones Funeral Home of Starke was in charge of arrangements.
