ORMOND BEACH -- John T. Cushing, Jr., 72, of Halifax Plantation, the owner of Seminole Travel, died Sunday at home.
Mr. Cushing, an Air Force veteran, was born in Elyria, Ohio, and moved to this area from Orlando in 1968. He formerly attended the University of Michigan and worked as a computer sales representative for National Cash Register Co. in East and Central Florida. Mr. Cushing enjoyed traveling.

DELTONA -- Petra Diaz, 87, of La Casita Street, a native of Ceiba, Puerto Rico, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital DeLand.
Mrs. Diaz, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1999 from her birthplace. She enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Evernham, Panama City; a sister, Dolores Ziebro, Deltona; and three grandchildren. Deltona Memorial, Orange City, is in charge.
Barton Engel

CASSELBERRY -- Barton "Barry" Engel, 70, Casselberry, the brother of Orange City resident Helene Kurzban, died Tuesday at home.
Mr. Engel, an Army veteran, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and moved to this area in 1977 from his birthplace. He was a self-employed accountant, and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas.
Additional survivors include a son, David, Longwood; three daughters, Melinda Engel, Casselberry, Alissa Engel, California, and Elisa Engel, New York; and nine grandchildren. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.
Benjamin Howell Jr.

DELAND -- Benjamin Jack Howell, Jr., 56, of West Beresford Avenue, a native of DeLand, died Tuesday at Veterans Administration Center, Gainesville.
An Army veteran, Mr. Howell worked for Keller Kitchen Cabinets and Volusia County Schools before his retirement. He was a former member of Greater Union First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, landscaping and bike riding.
Survivors include a son, Shaderick, a daughter, Lisa Huffman, his parents, Benjamin and Albertha Howell, and two sisters, Sophronia King and Pamela Yarn, all of DeLand; and five grandchildren. Mack is in charge.

MIMS -- Ronald C. Howell, 61, of Rudge Drive, a drywall hanger in the construction industry, died Sunday at home.
Mr. Howell, a native of Philadelphia, moved to this area in 1968. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Annette; a son, Christopher, Titusville, two daughters, Linda Stone, New Smyrna Beach, and Donna Lee, Mims; his mother, Ann Howell, a brother, Richard Howell, and a sister, Patricia Hall; and six grandchildren. Baldwin Brothers, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.

SOUTH ARLINGTON, VA -- Simon Inglis, 60, of South Arlington, Va., a Palm Coast winter resident, died Sunday at Florida Hospital-Flagler, Palm Coast.
Mr. Inglis was born in Chouisel, St. Lucia, and retired as an engineer for the National Geographics Society. Mr. Inglis was a Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 11 yeas, Erlinda; two stepsons, Rommel Delos Santos, Maryland, and Herr Eric Delos Santos, Philippines; five daughters Samantha, Virginia, Joan, Nancy and Annique, all of Maryland, and Dianne Jean, St. Lucia; a sister, Adela, St. Lucia; a grandchild. EDGEWATER -- Helen Ruth James, 86, of South Ridgewood Avenue, a native of Napoli, N.Y., died Monday at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach.
Mrs. James, a homemaker, moved here in 1985 from Stedman, N.Y. She enjoyed doll making, knick-knacks and crafts.

DELAND -- Margaret Eugenia Lee, 87, of West Armstrong Avenue, an area resident since childhood, died Monday at The Alliance Community Center for Health Care.
Mrs. Lee, a homemaker, was born in Covington, Ga.

Edward Molnar

DELAND -- Edward Molnar, 85, of Boundary Avenue, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, died Sunday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.
Mr. Molnar, an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II who served in India, Burma and China, moved to this area in 1993 from his birthplace. He retired in 1985 after 20 years as a distributor and sales manager for Garland Co., Cleveland. A 50-year mason, Mr. Molnar also was a member of Scottish Rite Bodies, the Shriners, American Legion Post, all of Cleveland, and the Flying Tiger Association.

HOLLY HILL -- Rosemarie Senecal Nieman, 89, of LPGA Boulevard, a native of Derry, N.H., died Monday at Bishop's Glen.
Mrs. Nieman moved to this area in 1982 from Chatham, Mass. She was a registered nurse floor supervisor at Barre Vermont City Hospital, Barre, Vt., and later supervised and oversaw the establishment of an infirmary at Fairleigh Dickinson in Vermont. She enjoyed music, dancing, children and animals.

DAYTONA BEACH -- John Bradford Sargent, 75, of South Nova Road, who retired as a truck driving instructor in 1997, died Tuesday at home.
Mr. Sargent, an Army veteran, was a born in Nashua, N.H., and moved to this area in 1997 from Tyngsboro, Mass. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, and a volunteer with the Youth Bowling Organization. Mr. Sargent enjoyed bowling.

Mrs. Smith was born in LaGrange, Ohio, and moved to this area in 1953 from Richfield, Ohio.
