DELTONA -- Catherine V. Donegan, 83, of East Lombardy Drive, a native of Newark, N.J., died Saturday at Florida Hospital DeLand.
Mrs. Donegan, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1973 from her birthplace. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, and enjoyed gardening, music and sewing.
Survivors include two son, James, Osteen, and Robert, Lake County; four daughters, Catherine McBride and Dianne Donegan, both of Deltona, Patricia Ewing, Las Vegas, and Mary Martin, Kimball, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.
Armistead Ellis

ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- Armistead W. Ellis, 84, of Escondido, Calif., the father of Port Orange resident, Armistead Ellis Jr., died Friday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Mr. Ellis, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Norfolk, Va., and had been visiting this area for three weeks. He was a vice president of distribution for over 45 years with Hiram Walker Corp., Escondido. He enjoyed golf.
Additional survivors include two sons, James, Marlton, N.J., and Clint, Kalispell, Mont.; two daughters, Mary Jane Little and Midge Ellis, both of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Richard, St. Petersburg, and Jay, Ohio; a sister, Alice Ellis, British Columbia; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. William Mellor

PORT ORANGE -- William Mellor, 90, of Meadowview Drive, a native of Wayne, Neb., died Tuesday at Alterra Sterling House of Port Orange.
Mr. Mellor came to this area in 1984 from his birthplace. He was an electrician and retired as superintendent of Distribution for the City of Wayne. Mr. Mellor was a member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church, past master and 50 year member of Wayne Lodge 120 AF&M, and a volunteer firefighter with the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed tennis, photography, and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Erna; a son Chuck, Port Orange; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. GAINESVILLE -- Ruth S. Morin, 78, of Gainesville, a former resident of Palm Coast since 1985, died Thursday at home.
Mrs. Morin was born in Massachusetts and moved from Palm Coast in 2001. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Palm Coast.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas, Gainesville, and Donald, Accident, Md.; a brother, Bob Duffus, Amelia Island; and a grandchild. Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge.
Rita OrlandoMAY 15, 1923 -- DEC. 9, 2004
PORT ORANGE -- Rita Orlando, 81, of Derbyshire, a native of Patchogue, N.Y., died Thursday in Daytona Beach.
Mrs. Orlando, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1977 from Mastic Beach, N.Y. She was a member of Mastic Beach Yacht Club, St. Francis de Sales, Citizens Emergency Response Team of Holly Hill and the Lady's Auxiliary. Mrs. Orlando enjoyed reading and gardening.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Lillian Josephine Erkmann Stephens, 95, of Ridgewood Avenue, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Thursday at Olds Hall-Good Samaritan Center.
Mrs. Stephens, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1950 from Long Island, N.Y.

FLAGLER BEACH -- Eldon E. Williams, 61, of Ashbury Lane, a native of Limon, Colo., died Thursday at home.
Mr. Williams, a Navy veteran, moved to this area in 2002 from Orlando. He was a heavy equipment operator in Orange County. Mr. Williams was a member of the American Legion, and enjoyed collecting model cars, traveling and dining out.

EDGEWATER -- Lena Doris Baldwin, 92, of South Riverside Drive, a resident since 1996, died Thursday at the Hospice Care Center, Port Orange.
Mrs. Baldwin, a homemaker, was born in Grays, England, and moved here from El Paso, Texas. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, New Smyrna Beach. She was a fan of the Harmony Sound Waves, and enjoyed knitting, reading and crossword puzzles.

ORMOND BEACH -- Robert W. Barry, 70, of Green Forest Drive, a former supervisor for Public Services of New Hampshire, died Tuesday at the Hospice Care Center, Port Orange.
Mr. Barry, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, was born in Watertown, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1992 from New Hampshire. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, the Kiwanis Club, the International Managers Club and was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. Mr. Barry enjoyed golf, woodworking and hunting.

DELTONA -- Catherine Mae "Kay" Beattie, 78, of Orchid Woods Court, a native of Haledon, N.J., died Tuesday at Deltona Healthcare.
Mrs. Beattie, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1993 from her birthplace. She was a member of Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Haledon School System Crossing Guard. She enjoyed reading and swimming.

Willie Blackmon

PORT ORANGE -- Willie Blackmon, 54, of Devon Street, a former offensive line football coach for Bethune-Cookman College, died Thursday at Hospice Care Center.
Mr. Blackmon was born in Albany, Ga., and moved to this area from Alabama in 1983. He also taught advanced basic education at Daytona Beach Community College and volunteered with the football teams at both Mainland and Spruce Creek high schools.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Lorraine; a son, Brandon, Port Orange; two daughters, Brittany Blackmon, Port Orange, and Tonya Jackson, Miami; a sister, Mattie Rae Williams, Miami; and three grandchildren. Volusia County Cremation, Daytona Beach, is in charge.
Rocco Cardillo

PALM COAST -- Rocco T. Cardillo, 48, of Potters Lane, a chef at Gianna's Creole Steak House, Flagler Beach, died Saturday at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach.
A native of Astoria, N.Y., Mr. Cardillo moved to this area in 1992 from Clifton, N.J. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Palms Coast Fire Department and worked as a custodian for the Flagler County School District. Mr. Cardillo was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was very active in the boy scouts.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Denise; a son, Thomas, Palm Coast; a daughter, Margaret Modestil, Warwick, R.I.; his parents Rocco and Ruth Cardillo, Palm Coast; two brothers, Michael Cardillo and Richard Tybus, both of Clifton; a sister, Karen Ellis, Palm Coast; and a grandchild. Mr. Crow, an Army veteran of the Korean War, moved to this area in 1965 from his birthplace. He was a laborer in the construction industry. He enjoyed all sports.
