DELTONA -- Marta Berrios, 84, of Fuller Avenue, a native of Puerto Rico, died Monday at Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial, Orange City.

Mrs. Berrios, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1986 from Connecticut.

Survivors include three sons, Carlos, Deltona, and Nelson and Einesto, both of Bridgeport, Conn.; two daughters, Sol Angelica and Carmen Diaz, both of Delaware; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.

William Desimini

MAY 12, 1910 -- AUG. 3, 2004

HOLLY HILL -- William Desimini, 94, of LPGA Boulevard, a retired newspaper printer, died Tuesday at Bishop's Glen.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Desimini came to this area in 1999 from Delray Beach. He enjoyed golf.

Survivors include two sons, William, Palm Coast, and Thomas, San Francisco; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to the MHS Foundation, Stewart F. Meyer Hospice House, 770 W. Granada Blvd., Suite. 102, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Lohman-Ormond, Ormond Beach, is in charge.

Dorothy Gladue

NOV. 2, 1933 -- JULY 29, 2004

ORANGE CITY -- Dorothy Gladue, 70, of Lancaster Avenue, a retired substitute teacher with the Volusia County School System, died Thursday at home.

Mrs. Gladue was born in Fitchburg, Mass., and moved to this area in 1974 from Connecticut.

Survivors include a daughter, Alicia Gladue, Orange City; a sister, Rita Brown, Naples; and two grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Lankford, DeLand, is in charge.

Lillian Gonzalez

SEPT. 14, 1941 -- AUG. 3, 2004

DELTONA -- Lillian Gonzalez, 62, of Sylvia Drive, who worked for Fenwell Electronics, Ashland, Mass., before her retirement, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial, Orange City.

Mrs. Gonzalez was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, and moved here in 2000 from Milford, Mass. She was a member of Pentecostal Church of God MI.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Edwin; two daughter, Yolanda Gonzalez, Kansas City, Mo., and Aleida Romero, Providence, R.I.; a brother, Jose Mecardo, and two sisters, Maria and Julia Mecardo, all of the Bronx, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Deltona Memorial, Orange City, is in charge.

Sherri Ivie

JULY 4, 1966 -- JULY 30, 2004

DEBARY -- Sherri Leigh Ivie, 38, of DeBary Drive, a convenience store clerk, died Friday at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange, following a long illness.

Ms. Ivie moved here in 2000 from her native Decatur, Ill. She enjoyed animals and reading.

Survivors include her father, David Walters, DeBary; her mother and stepfather, Rozann and Hal Ivie, Decatur; and her paternal grandmother, Marie Walters, Decatur. Altman-Long, DeBary, is in charge.

Elisabeth Kahn

DEC. 31, 1921 -- JULY 10, 2004

CAMBRIA, Calif. -- Elisabeth Bidwell "Libby" Kahn, 82, of Cambria, one of the first women photographers with The Daytona Beach News-Journal, died July 10 at a hospital in California.

A native of Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Kahn moved to the Daytona Beach area in the late 1940s, working for the News-Journal in the 1950s. She moved to Ann Arbor, Mich., in 1967 and later relocated to Cambria, where she resided for almost 20 years. Mrs. Kahn was an avid gardener and enjoyed nature.

Survivors include a son, David, Cambria; three daughters, Deborah Kahn, Cambria, Nancy Johnson, Newport Beach, Calif., and Rachel Kahn, Woodstock, Vt.; a sister, Mary Louise Bidwell, Canton; and three grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made Greenspace, the Cambria Land Trust, P.O. Box 1505, Cambria, CA 93428. Reis Chapel, San Luis Obispo, is in charge.

Louis Mariany

JAN. 2, 1914 -- AUG. 3, 2004

DELAND -- Louis Julius Mariany, 90, of Chipola Avenue, who retired as an engineer after 28 years with Lockheed-Martin, Orlando, died Tuesday at Island Lake Center, Longwood.

Mr. Mariany, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Long Island, N.Y., and moved to this area in 2002 from Orlando.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; two sons, Louis Jr., Orlando, and Joseph, Wallkill, N.Y.; three sisters, Rosina DePino, Baltimore, Isabelle Pillis, Roanoke, Va., and Julia Valenti, Rehoboth, Del.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Lankford, DeLand, is in charge.

Osse Moliere

OCT. 13, 1938-- JULY 26, 2004

Anne-Marie Moliere

JUNE 13, 1949 -- JULY 26, 2004

DELTONA. -- Osse Moliere , 65, and his wife, Anne-Marie Moliere, 55, both of Elkcam Boulevard, died July 26 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on I-95 in Martin County. Two of the couple's granddaughters, Amanda Charles, 6, and Taina Charles, 10, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., also died in the accident.

Mr. Moliere, a retired taxi driver, was born in Petit, Haiti. Mrs. Moliere, a native of Arcahaie, Haiti, was a retired nurse. They were members of Life Center Church, Eatonville.

Their survivors include three sons, Moseley and Moise, both of Deltona, and Mozart, Franklin, N.C.; three daughters, Monette Moliere, Deltona, and Gina Charles and Margalie Oselmo, both of Brooklyn; and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Moliere is also survived by three brothers, Antonio and Bruny Moliere, both of Haiti, and Andre Almozos, Indiana; and two sisters, Lenine Maurice, Brooklyn, and Marie-Solange Vilsa, Rhode Island, N.Y. Additional survivors for Mrs. Moliere include three brothers, Elifete Luis, Canada, Wildrid St. Fleus, France, and Max St. Fleus, Miami; and two sisters, Marie Ellariste and Jacqueline Clause, both of Miami. Sunrise Funeral Home, Sanford, is in charge.

Ila Naglieri

DEC. 9, 1936 -- AUG. 2, 2004

PALM COAST -- Ila Mae Naglieri, 67, of Clarendon Court North, a former cosmetologist, died Monday at Florida Hospital-Flagler.

Mrs. Naglieri was born in Wilmington, N.C., and moved to this area in 1988 from North Massapequa, N.Y. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Palm Coast Yacht Club. She enjoyed bowling, cooking and yard work.

Survivors include a son, Nicholas, Mathews, Va.; a daughter, Tina Addison, South Mills, N.C.; a brother, Irwin Allen, Jasper; a sister, Kay McKellar, Georgia; and two grandchildren. Coastal Cremation is in charge.

Earlene Pedone

NOV. 4, 1924 -- AUG. 2, 2004

DAYTONA BEACH -- Earlene Blankenship Pedone, 79, of Forest Lake Boulevard, a native of Appling County, Ga., died Monday at Halifax Medical Center.

Mrs. Pedone, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1960 from Stamford, Conn. She was a member of Christian Life Center, New Smyrna Beach.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Day, Longwood, and Mike Day, Beckley, W.Va.; a brother, Leslie Ammons, Calif.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Settle-Wilder, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.

A. Virginia Polk

JAN. 9, 1926 -- JULY 30, 2004

DAYTONA BEACH -- A. Virginia Polk, 78, of Williamson Boulevard, a resident since 1994, died Friday at Halifax Medical Center.

Ms. Polk, a caregiver in the health care field, was born in Raleigh County, W.Va., and moved here from Vero Beach.

Survivors include a brother, Harold Adkins, High Point, N.C.; and five sisters, Cassie Pippin and Loretta Russell, both of Pembroke Pines, Shirley Adkins, West Palm Beach, Ethel Blevins, Cleveland, and Wanda Redden, Hollywood, Fla. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Mary Rauback

JUNE 21, 1923 -- JULY 31, 2004

DEBARY -- Mary V. Rauback, 81, of North Highway 17-92, a native of Daytona Beach, died Saturday at DeBary Manor.

Mrs. Rauback, a homemaker, was a lifetime resident of the area. She attended St. Ann's Catholic Church. She enjoyed music and dancing.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Manchester, Orange City, Maryjo McNearney, Port Orange, and Dianna Parcells, DeLand; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Virginia Rohr

JAN. 28, 1923 -- AUG. 1, 2004

EDGEWATER -- Virginia A. Rohr, 81, of Travelers Palm Drive, a retired registered nurse, died Sunday at Port Orange Health and Rehabilitation Center, Port Orange.

Mrs. Rohr, a Navy Nurse Corps veteran of World War II, was born in McKenzie, Ala., and moved here in 1963 from San Antonio. She was named Navy Nurse of the Year in 1945. Mrs. Rohr enjoyed gardening, reading, playing bridge and golf and travel.

Survivors include a son, Loudin Jr., Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Nancy Rosenkoetter, Tallahassee; a brother, Joe Piggotte, South Daytona; a sister, Vivien Brown, Montgomery, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
