DELTONA -- Mary M. Saunders, 56, of Humphrey Boulevard, who retired as a technician in the Orlando office after 32 years with Bell South, died Saturday at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial, Orange City.
Mrs. Saunders moved to this area in 1990 from Miami, her birthplace. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, genealogy and collecting Beanie Babies and angels.
Survivors include her husband, Ciro "Jerry" Iovine; a son, Ciro "Jerry" Iovine, and a daughter, Jennifer Iovine, both of Deltona; and three sisters, Barbara Clifton-Sanchez, Edgewater, Beverly Foytik, Naples, and Roxanna Hicks, Douglasville, Ga.; Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.
Frances Stanley

ORMOND BEACH -- Frances H. Stanley, 74, of Fleming Avenue, a retired elementary school teacher, died Saturday at home.
Mrs. Stanley moved to this area in 1981 from her birthplace, Buffalo, N.Y. She enjoyed golf and baking.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Sherman; two sons, Ralph, Deltona, and Sherman Jr., Lake City; a daughter, Roberta Hodak, Orange City; two brothers, Alois Braun, Dallas, and George Braun, Derby, N.Y.; two sisters, Mary Convery, Derby, and Yvonne Braun, Buffalo; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Robert Strong Jr.

DELAND -- Robert Lee Strong Jr., 20, of East Division Street, a graphic artist with American Inline, died Sunday in DeLand from injuries sustained in an accident.
A native of DeLand, Mr. Strong was a graduate of DeLand High School where he also played on the basketball team. He also was a former honor student at the Greenville Academy in Tallahassee. Mr. Strong was member of Royal Temple Free Methodist Church and sang in the choir. He enjoyed fishing and auto mechanics.
Survivors include his parents, Robert Strong and Florence Strong, and a sister, Kemisha Strong, all off DeLand; and his maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Ola Peal Blue, Chattahoochee. Mack is in charge.
Kenneth Wooley

PIERSON -- Kenneth D. Wooley, 69, of North Road, a former construction laborer, died Saturday at Florida Hospital DeLand.
A native of Beaver Falls, Pa., Mr. Wooley came here in 1994 from Hickory, Pa. He enjoyed watching football.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Wooley, Pierson, and Toni Wooley and Karen Smith, both of Beaver Falls; a brother, Tom, Beaver Falls; a sister, Virginia Cordes, Rochester, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.
Ernest Zimmermann

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Ernest F. Zimmermann, 73, of Laurel Bay Circle, a retired mechanical engineer, died Saturday at home.
Mr. Zimmermann, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, was born in Union City, N.J., and moved here from Jacksonville in 1990. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Episcopal Church, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club. Mr. Zimmermann enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Anne; a son, Mark, Holly Hill; a daughter, Nina Puustinen, New Smyrna Beach; and four grandchildren. John Chapman

DELAND -- John Hussey Chapman, 88, of West New York Avenue, an assistant plant manager for the then American Optical Co., before his retirement, died Wednesday at The Good Shepard Assisted Living Facility, DeLand.
Mr. Chapman, a native of Ludlow, Mass., he moved here in 1994 from Thompson, Conn. He was a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Marjorie; three daughters, Jane Jackson, Scottsdale, Ariz., Ruth Mroczka, Starrucca, Pa., and Lee Caranaugh, Walnut, Calif.; a sister, Elizabeth DuBois, DeLand; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Allen-Summerhill, DeLand, is in charge.
Ellen Clark

DAYTONA BEACH -- The Rev. Ellen W. Clark, 82, of Magnolia Avenue, a native of Cross, S.C., died Wednesday at Parkway Regional Medical Center, North Miami Beach.
The Rev. Clark moved to this area in the early 1960s from New York. A former housekeeper, she was a member of Fellowship Union Church and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include a son, John Dingle, Daytona Beach; a daughter, Rosa Brown, Carol City; a brother, Benjamin Jefferson, South Carolina; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Gainous is in charge.
Wilma Clark

PORT ORANGE -- Wilma J. Clark, 75, of Palm Circle Drive, a resident since 1973, died Wednesday at home.
Miss Clark, a store owner, was born in Franklin Furnace, Ohio, and moved here from Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Epiphany and its welcoming committee and a member of the Military Officers Association of America.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Laura A. Davis, 89, of Beville Road, who retired as manager of the Northside Hospital Gift Shop, Youngstown, Ohio, died Wednesday at home.
Mrs. Davis was born in Hubbard, Ohio, and moved to this area in 1997 from Youngstown. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church, Youngstown. She was an avid golfer.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Arthur J. Evans, 89, of South Beach Street, who retired from Western Auto as a supervisor, died Wednesday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.
Mr. Evans, an Army and Navy veteran, was born in Scranton, Pa., and moved to this area in 1980 from Saugerties, N.Y. He also was a former owneroperator of a Western Auto Store. He was a member of the American Legion, Saugerties. Mr. Evans enjoyed fishing, bowling and golf.
Survivors include his wife, Ardath; a son, Arthur Jr., Denver; two daughters, Annette Bostic and Robin Evans, Kingston, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Volusia Memorial, Port Orange, is in charge.
Donald Haddock

DELAND -- Donald A. Haddock, 68, of Orange Blossom Lane, who retired as the owner and operator of a gasoline and retail outlet in New Hampshire, died Wednesday at Florida Hospital-DeLand.
Mr. Haddock, an Army veteran of the Korean War, was born in Boston, and moved here in 2002 from New Hampshire. He enjoyed soccer, golf and bowling.

ORLANDO -- Jim William Johnson, 45, of Orlando, the father of DeLand residents, Joshua and Jessica Walker, died Thursday at home.
Mr. Johnson, an electrician with Newton Electric, was born in Minneapolis, and moved to Orlando in 1963. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Winter Park.
Additional survivors include his wife of eight years, Leah; a son, Shane Walker, Orlando; two daughters, Amy Bullard, Fort Walton Beach, and Karen Johnson, Orlando; his parents, Elof and Margaret Johnson, and two sisters, Jaci Johnson-Barrett and Judy Johnson, all of Orlando; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Kment, a homemaker, was born in Uniontown, Pa., and moved here from Detroit. She enjoyed collecting angels.
