DELAND -- Edith Albanese, 79, of Chipola Avenue, a native of Wilkesboro, Pa., died Wednesday at Woodland Terrace Extended Care.
Mrs. Albanese, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1990 from Sebring, where she was a member of the Halo Organization.
Survivors include a son, Thomas, Deltona; a brother, Floyd Ragogini, Nutley, N.J.; a sister, Isabel Messana, Las Vegas; and two grandchildren. Allen-Summerhill, DeLand, is in charge.
Joseph Barron
APRIL 14, 1935 -- FEB. 20, 2005
PALM COAST -- Joseph L. Barron, 69, of Frontier Drive, a teacher with the Federal Aviation Administration, died Sunday at Florida Hospital-Flagler.
Mr. Barron, an Army veteran, was born in Independence, Mo., and moved to this area in 1987 from Lawton, Okla. He received a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Missouri. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and its Men's Association, and was a member of the Wheels in Motion Car Club.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sarah; a son, Richard, Ada, Okla.; a daughter, Nicole Barron, New Orleans; a sister, Carol Peterson, Blue Springs, Md.; and a grandchild. Adria Brand

DELAND -- Adria Allison Arnold Brand, 48, of Trail in the Lake, a native of Sanford, died Wednesday at Oakwood Garden of DeLand.
Mrs. Brand, a homemaker, was a lifetime resident of the DeLand area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Brand was a 1981 Stetson University graduate. She enjoyed pets and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; her mother, Ruth Arnold, DeLand; and two sisters, Meredith Kelly, DeLand, and Lynn Ward, Keystone Heights. Allen-Summerhill, DeLand, is in charge.
Mary Briggs
FEB. 13, 1912 -- FEB. 18, 2005
DAYTONA BEACH -- Mary C. Briggs, 93, of South Nova Road, a native of Beekman, N.Y., died Friday at Horizon Healthcare.
Mrs. Briggs, a homemaker, moved to this area several years ago from Arizona.
No known immediate relatives survive. Haigh-Black, Ormond Beach, is in charge.
Hazel Copley

ORMOND BEACH -- Hazel Kirk Copley, 87, of North Halifax Avenue, a resident since 1990, died Wednesday at Coquina Center.
Mrs. Copley, a homemaker, was born in Durbin, W.Va., and came here from St. Petersburg. She was a member of the Daytona Metropolitan Bridge Club.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Howard; a son, Branford, Winter Haven; a daughter, Cathy Woods, Akron, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Volusia Memorial, Ormond Beach, is in charge.
Thomas Culhane

PORT ORANGE -- Thomas J. Culhane, 44, of Town Park Drive, a licensed massage therapist with the American Family & Sports Chiropractic Center, died Monday at home.
Mr. Culhane was born in Arlington, Va., and moved to this area in 1998 from Colorado. He was a member of the Volusia County Massage Therapist Association. He enjoyed surfing, basketball, volleyball, bike riding and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, B.J. Hennighan; a son, Joseph, Nebraska; and five brothers, Jim, Florida, Chris and Pete, both of Colorado, Frank, Washington, and Mike, Minnesota. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.
George Dezbor

ORMOND BEACH -- George O. Dezbor, 84, of Old Kings Road, a former certified public accountant for the government, died Sunday at Avante At Ormond Beach.
Mr. Dezbor was born in Morgantown, W.Va., and moved to this area in 1989 from Washington, D.C. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Daytona Beach.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Jeanne Dezbor, Cape Canaveral, who provide for his care. Haigh-Black is in charge.
Dawn Heywood

ORMOND BEACH -- Dawn Rockwell Heywood, 69, of Standish Drive, who retired as a trust officer for SunTrust Bank, Daytona Beach, died Wednesday at home.
Mrs. Heywood moved to this area in 1962 from Syracuse, N.Y., her birthplace. She was a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church, Orpena, Wagon Wheels, Ormond Beach Moose Lodge and Florida Hospital Women's Auxiliary. She was a past president of the Ormond Beach Women's Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and reading.
Survivors include two sons, Daryl Rockwell, Port Orange, and Robby Rockwell, Ormond Beach; a daughter, Autumn Doulong, Longwood; three stepsons, Jeffrey, Ormond Beach, Thomas, Chicago, and William, Maine; a brother, Harry Baxter, South Carolina; two sisters, Sheila Morris, Syracuse, and Theda Hass, Camden, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren. Annie Jordan

ORMOND BEACH -- Annie Ruth Jordan, 86, of North Center Street, a longtime resident of Toombs County, Ga., died Sunday at Coquina Center.
A homemaker, Mrs. Jordan was born in Moultrie, Ga. She moved here recently from Toombs County where she was a charter member of Edmond Chapel Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, James, Ormond Beach, and Gary Jr., St. Augustine; three daughters, Faye Jordan, Daytona Beach, Lisa Jordan, Holly Hill, and Shirley Morris, Brooklet, Ga.; two brothers, W. Buster Mulkey, Greenwood, S.C., and Bob Mulkey, Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Helen Toole and Lola Griner, both of Lyons, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. DAYTONA BEACH -- Audrey J. Kirkland, 51, of South Beach Street, a DeLand native, died Tuesday at Halifax Medical Center.
Ms. Kirkland, homemaker, moved to Daytona Beach from Lake Worth in 1985. A stock car racing fan, she also enjoyed the beach and reading.
Survivors include her companion, Kenny Lynd; a son, Dan Provenzano, Port Orange; a daughter, Danielle Sanders, Daytona Beach; her mother, Betty Kirkland, Ormond Beach; her brother, Paul, Lake Worth; a sister, Kathryn Cleveland, Ormond Beach; and three grandchildren. BUNNELL -- Mae Lynn, 83, of Lake Disston Drive, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Tuesday at home.
Mrs. Lynn moved here from Fort White in 1993. A homemaker, she was a member of Palm Coast Yacht Club and enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts.

EDGEWATER -- Louise A. Martin, 81, of South Riverside Drive, a former Edgewater City Council member, died Feb. 14 at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach.
Mrs. Martin, a former bank executive, was a native of Port Washington, N.Y., and moved to this area from Huntington Station, N.Y.

Esther Myatt

PALM COAST -- Esther A. Myatt, 92, of Ferndale Lane, a retired pressman for a printing company, died Saturday at Moultrie Creek Health & Rehab Center, St. Augustine.
Mrs. Myatt moved to this area in 1989 from her native Worcester, Mass. She was a member of the Salvation Army.
