JOSEPH E. PLESS, 83, of Tampa died Wednesday at Tampa General Hospital. A native of Lodi, N.J., he moved here in 1945. He was a quality control inspector for Continental Can Co. and a member of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He is survived by two daughters, Olive T. Noble and Patricia K. Tomas, both of Tampa; two sisters, Pat Lombardi of Margate and Evelyn Ginex of Wayne, N.J.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Glass Funeral Home, Tampa.

ELINOR B. POTTS, 80, formerly of Brandon, died Tuesday at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. A native of New York, she lived in Brandon from 1965-73. She was a homemaker and Catholic. She is survived by her son, Greg of Sarasota; two daughters, Gina Powers and Elinor Dickman, both of California; a brother, Calvin Harmon of Virginia; three sisters, Ginny Harvey of Connecticut, Carol Paul of Colorado and Evelyn Pant of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She is survived by three sons, Drew Y., Dean B. and Jamie A., all of Tampa; her mother Eva M. Marier of Riverview; three sisters, Cecilia Barnard of Boothbay Harbor, Maine, Marcella Hesoun of Panama City and Lucia Warren-Jackaway of Bradenton; and four grandchildren.
