George E. Marron

George E. Marron of Gainesville died Tuesday at the Hospice House of Gainesville. He was 73.

He was born in Windber, Pa., and moved to Gainesville from Miami in 1996.

Mr. Marron was a retired teacher and coach with the Dade County school system and a member of Holy Faith Catholic Church.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Patricia A. Marron of Gainesville; a daughter, Patricia Anne Boswell of Boca Raton; and a son, W. Stephen Marron of Gainesville.

Louis W. Redemsky

WILLISTON -- Louis W. Redemsky of Williston died Sunday. He was 96.

The Michigan native moved to Williston in 1968.

He held a doctorate in education from Michigan State University.

He was a retired teacher and member of the Michigan Retired Teachers Association, the National Education Association and the Association of University Professors.

Mr. Redemsky was also a member of AARP and the Williston Highlands Golf Club.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Redemsky of Williston; two daughters, Jane A. Lintjer of Williston and Betty L. Lindquist of California; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Williston.

Jack A. Rosenberger

Jack A. Rosenberger of Gainesville died Tuesday in Gainesville. He was 81.

Mr. Rosenberger was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., and moved to Gainesville from Chattanooga, Tenn., in 1984.

He was a retired vice president of manufacturing with Central Soya Electrical Engineering Co.

Mr. Rosenberger enjoyed flying radio-controlled airplanes and was a member of the American Modeling Association.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia M. Rosenberger of Gainesville; two daughters, Ann Geyer of Osceola, Ind., and Joan Gladney of Gainesville; a son, Stephen Rosenberger of Clinton, N.C.; two grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

Holly Roudels

Holly "Kim" Roudels of Gainesville died Friday in Gainesville following an extended illness. She was 46.

Mrs. Roudels was born in St. Petersburg and moved to Gainesville from Tampa 14 years ago.

She was a medical technologist and a member of Holy Faith Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jonathan Roudels of Gainesville; two daughters, Pamela Roudels and Amanda Roudels, both of Gainesville; her mother, Jean Ezzell of St. Petersburg; and a brother, Raye Minor of St. Petersburg.

Booker Tyro Anderson

WILLISTON - Booker Tyro Anderson died Monday in Tampa after a long illness. He was 89.

Mr. Anderson lived in Williston his entire life and was a mechanic, a jewelry repairman and a retired barber. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Anderson; a granddaughter, Veronica Albright of Gainesville; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mamie Lou Coleman-King

ARCHER - Mamie Lou Coleman-King, a longtime resident of Archer, died Sunday at her residence. She was 65.

Mrs. Coleman-King was a teacher and a cosmetologist. She was a member of Banks United Methodist Church, where she served as secretary, treasurer and choir member.

Survivors include daughters Shelia Y. Penny of Archer and Ozzie L. King of Trenton; sons Kenneth B. King of Archer and Calvin E. Manker of Gainesville; sisters Regenia Clayton of Archer and Louise Patton of Orange Park; brothers Eddie Moss Jr. of Archer, Louis Coleman of Springfield, Mass., Joseph Coleman of Springfield and Johnnie B. Moss of Gainesville; and five grandchildren.

Gertrude Dix

Gertrude Dix of Gainesville died Sunday after a short illness. She was 65.

She was born in Fifer and was a housewife. She attended Alachua County public schools and was a member of Church of God By Faith.

Survivors, all of Gainesville, include her husband, Joseph Dix; a daughter, Janice Sorinmade; a son, Joseph Dix Jr.; and a brother, Isaac Jones.

Lillian G. Jackson

Lillian G. Jackson of Gainesville died Sunday at North Florida Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was 70.

She lived in Gainesville her entire life and was a nursing assistant. She graduated from Lincoln High School and was a member of the Home Mission Society at Springhill Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters Yvonne Williams King and Carolyn Gail McNish, both of Gainesville, and Barbara Ragin of Newberry; sons Earl L. Smith of Raiford and Charles E. Welcome, Kent L. Issac and Hiram Jackson, all of Gainesville; sisters Camilla Smith and Angela Monroe, both of Gainesville, and Laura Etta Smith and Sharon Miller, both of Tampa; brothers Daniel, Joseph, Kenneth and Shelton Davis, all of Gainesville, and Tyrone Davis of Dunnellon; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Ed Jones

NEWBERRY - Ed Jones died Oct. 31 at Shands at the University of Florida. He was 58.

Mr. Jones was born in Newberry and worked on farms.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ed Jones Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Eliza Jones of Louisiana; a son, Al Jones of Louisiana; a stepson, J.D. Robinson of Texas; sisters Eliza Scott and Bernice Williams of Newberry; brothers John Jones of Tarpon Springs, Boysie Jones of Orlando and Abraham Jones of Virginia.

Leola Thomas

Leola Thomas of Gainesville died Friday at North Central Florida Hospice Center after a long illness. She was 86.

She was born in Dothan, Ala., and moved to Gainesville from Cordele, Ga., 35 years ago. She was a retired social worker.

She was a member of the Church of the Kingdom of God, where she served as church mother, elder, Bible study teacher, pastoral counselor, minister and treasurer. She was also a member of the General Senior Citizen Group and Daughters of Zion.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Glosson of Gainesville; sons John Berry Hillsman Carter of Macon, Ga., Jimmy Carter of Gainesville and Robert Carter of San Bernardino, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Maxine Gillis Enneis

ALACHUA -- Maxine Gillis Enneis of Alachua died Friday at her home after a long illness. She was 81.

Mrs. Enneis was a retired bookkeeper. She had worked at Santa Fe High School.

Born in Tar Heel, N.C., she was a lifelong resident of Alachua. She graduated from Alachua High School in 1937.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alachua.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Gillis and Bobby Gillis; a sister, Louise Burgess; and a grandson, Frank Enneis.

Survivors include her husband Bill Enneis Sr. of Alachua; one son, Bill Enneis Jr. of Alachua; two daughters, Rebecca Enneis and Susan E. Hamilton, both of Gainesville; a brother, W.H. Gillis of Metter, Ga.; two sisters, Mildred Johnston of Gainesville and Betty Videon of Jasper, Ga.; five grandchildren, Margaret, Elizabeth, Kate, John and Matthew; and two great-grandchil- dren, James and Sarah.

Beatrice Robinson Godwin

STARKE -- Beatrice Robinson Godwin of Starke died Saturday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. She was 70.

Mrs. Godwin was born in Hampton and was a lifelong Bradford County resident. She was a homemaker. She attended Bradford County schools and was of the Church of God faith.

Mrs. Godwin was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Godwin.

Survivors include four daughters, Margie Dukes, Betty Green and Primadon Johnson, all of Starke, and Barbara Jean Kirkland of Georgia; two sons, Marvin Godwin of Worthington Springs and Eugene Godwin of Starke; one sister, Margaret Waldron of Syracuse, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great- great-grandchildren.
