Willie Pearl Womble Reynolds

MELROSE -- Willie Pearl Womble Reynolds of Melrose died Sunday at her home after a brief illness. She was 89.

Mrs. Reynolds was a retired housekeeper.

Born in Warthen, Ga., she moved from Sandersville, Ga., to Melrose 24 years ago.

She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Melrose.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Baker Young and Lillian Jones, both of Melrose; a son, Marvin Womble Sr. of Warthen; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great- grandchildren.

Johnnie Lee Richardson Sr.

Johnnie Lee Richardson Sr. of Gainesville died Monday at his home. He was 73.

Mr. Richardson was a retired farmer.

Born in McIntosh, he moved to Gainesville seven years ago.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include five daughters, Mary Richardson of Gainesville, Helen Adkins and Rosa Brooks, both of McIntosh, Charlotte Richardson of Micanopy and Brenda Richardson of McIntosh; three sons, Johnny Lee Richardson Jr. of McIntosh, Jerry Richardson of Orange Lake and Bobby Richardson of Gainesville; two sisters, Marie Simmons of Gainesville and Francis West of McIntosh; two brothers, Curtis Richardson of McIntosh and Herbert Richardson of Micanopy; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Hardie Vinson Jr.

Hardie Vinson Jr. of Gainesville died unexpectedly Monday in Davisboro, Ga. He was 57.

Mr. Vinson was a former computer analyst and was employed at Coca-Cola Co. in Atlanta. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Born in Gainesville, he moved from Williston to Gainesville four months ago. He graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Ala.

He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Arredondo.

Survivors include two daughters, Danielle Vinson of Germany and Marie A. Vinson of Atlanta; his father, Hardie Vinson Sr. of Gainesville; two brothers, Martin C. Vinson and Bobbie J. Vinson, both of Gainesville; and seven sisters, Maggie P. Vinson of Williston, Jacqueline Davis of Archer, Yvonne E. Hughes and Janice A. Vinson, both of Gainesville, Ellexzena Wilder of Jacksonville, Martha A. Johnson of Atlanta and Beverly A. Bodison.

Debra Lynn Weaver

FORT WHITE -- Debra Lynn Weaver of Fort White died Sunday at her home after a long illness. She was 41.

Mrs. Weaver was born in Cherry Point, N.C., and moved to Fort White nine years ago. She was a 1975 graduate of El Toro High School in El Toro, Calif.

She enjoyed flowers, antiques, collecting dolls and doing crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Loyd Weaver of Fort White; two sons, Luke Pennington and Jessie Pennington, both of Fort White; her parents, Gerald and Darlene Clifford of Cocoa Beach; three brothers, James Michael Clifford of Windsor, Calif., Mark Robert Clifford of Cocoa Beach and Jeffrey Scott Clifford of Windamear, Calif.; and a sister, Kelly Webster of San Clemente, Calif.

George Roland Woodward

WORTHINGTON SPRINGS -- George Roland Woodward of Worthington Springs died Monday at Lake City Veterans Affairs Hospital after a long illness. He was 73.

Mr. Woodward was an electronic technician for the U.S. Navy. He was formerly employed by the Florida Department of Education, where he taught electronics and college math and developed the first Marine Propulsion Program.

Born in Birmingham, Ala., he moved to Worthington Springs 25 years ago. He received bachelor's and master's degrees from California State College in Long Beach, and a doctorate from Sussex College of Technology in England.

He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He also volunteered in Union County schools, preparing taxes, and as an instructor and coordinator for the Florida Game and Fresh Water Commission in the Hunter Education Program.

Mr. Woodward was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Lake Butler Rotary Club, American Association of Retired Persons and was a former member of Lion's Club in Keystone Heights.

Survivors include his wife, Norma S. Woodward of Worthington Springs; a daughter, Frances W. Batson of Worthington Springs; a son, Walter A. Woodward of Inverness; a sister, Dorothy W. Andrews of Gainesville; two brothers, William H. Woodward of Lake City and James R. Woodward of Wilmington, Del.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to Florida Sheriff's Boys Ranch or to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation in Chicago.

Bessie M. Dees Barnett

LIVE OAK -- Bessie M. Dees Barnett of Live Oak died Sunday at Surrey Place Nursing Home in Live Oak after a long illness. She was 85.

Mrs. Barnett was a homemaker and member of Hatchbend Baptist Church.

She was born in Live Oak, and lived in Branford for about 60 years before moving back to Live Oak seven years ago.

Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by a son, Mac Arthur Dees.

Survivors include her husband, Leon L. Barnett Sr. of O'Brien; two daughters, Elizabeth Land of Mayo and Marvelann Swails of Hatchbend; two sons, Charles Dees of Gainesville and Redden Dees of Branford; a stepdaughter, Annette Land of Branford; a stepson, L.L. Barnett Jr. of O'Brien; a brother, Joe Robison of Holiday; a stepbrother, Willie B. Tillis of Palm Harbor; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Lozelle Basford Heddings

CROSS CITY -- Lozelle Basford Heddings of Cross City died Sunday at her home after a long illness. She was 62.

Mrs. Heddings was a former bookkeeper.

Born in Marianna, she was a lifelong resident of Cross City.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee of Cross City; a daughter, Bunny Norris of Old Town; a brother, Earnest Basford of Marianna; two sisters, Elizabeth Price of Kite, Ga., and Ruby Alday of Cypress; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Eldora M. Moore

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS -- Eldora M. Moore of Keystone Heights died Sunday in Gainesville. She was 83.

Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a member of Keystone Golf and Country Club.

Born in East Providence, R.I., she moved from Boca Raton to Keystone Heights 18 years ago.

Survivors include a son, James Burgess of Gainesville; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

Harry Wilkerson

LAWTEY -- Harry Wilkerson of Lawtey died Monday at Shands at Starke. He was 85.

Mr. Wilkerson was a retired forest ranger for the State of Florida. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a lifelong resident of Lawtey. Mr. Wilkerson was a member of the Church of God and of Lawtey Lodge No. 189.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Griffis and Mary Taylor, both of Lawtey; a brother, Lloyd Wilkerson of Middleburg; three sisters, Victoria Monds of Lawtey, Lilly Carter of Clay Hill and Lula Whitfield of Merritt Island; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Gladys Geneva Eoff

Gladys Geneva Eoff of Gainesville died Wednesday at her home after a short illness. She was 92.

Mrs. Eoff was a homemaker.

She attended First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville.

Mrs. Eoff was preceded in death by her husband, R.K. Eoff.

Survivors include a son, Kay Eoff of Gainesville; a sister, Louise Gentry of La Feria, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to Hospice of North Central Florida.

Bertram Leslie Fish

DOWLING PARK -- Bertram Leslie Fish of Dowling Park died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Dowling Park. He was 94.

Mr. Fish was a retired accountant. Born in Manchester, England, he moved to the United States 39 years ago before moving from Gainesville to Dowling Park seven years ago. He was an Episcopalian.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Edwards of St. Augustine and Marjorie Shelley of Gainesville; a stepdaughter, Jean Sampson of Gainesville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
