Howard Donald Johnston of Gainesville died Saturday in his home. He was 72.
Mr. Johnston was born in Indiana and lived in Florida most of his life. He lived in Alachua County since 1980 and was employed with the National Federation of Independent Business. He was a member of New Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Mae Dees Johnston. Survivors include one son, Michael Wayne Johnston of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Norman Johnston of St. Clair, Mo., and Robert Johnston of Springfield, Mo.; and one grandson.
Raymond Smith Call Sr.
CHIEFLAND - Raymond Smith Call Sr. of Chiefland died Friday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lake City. He was 82.
Mr. Call was born in Pikeville, Ky., and moved to Chiefland from Orlando in 1983. He was a retired funeral director, a veteran of the U.S. Marines, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Call of Chiefland; two sons, Joseph Christopher Call and Raymond Smith Call Jr., both of Chiefland; two daughters, Teresa Sanders of Missouri and Cynthia Louise Raddatz of Orem, Utah; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Dallas Milton Booth
CEDAR KEY - Dallas Milton Booth of Cedar Key died Saturday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville. He was 73.
Mr. Booth lived in Cedar Key most of his life and was a commercial fisherman, auto worker and iron worker. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie 4194 and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred M. Booth of Cedar Key; one daughter, Debra Booth Osteen of Atlanta, Ga; one sister, Doris Sheffield of Cedar Key; one brother, Persey Booth of Otter Creek; one stepdaughter; two stepsons; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Lonzo Lloyd Morgan
WILLISTON - Lonzo Lloyd Morgan of Williston died Saturday in his home. He was 87.
Mr. Morgan was born in Jackson County, Tenn., and moved to Williston from Wauchula 4-1/2 years ago. He was a retired welder.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Morgan, of Williston, and two grandchildren.
Elizabeth C. "Betty Lou" Wynne
ST. PETERSBURG - Elizabeth C. "Betty Lou" Wynne of St. Petersburg died Saturday in St. Petersburg. She was 75.
Mrs. Wynne was born in McIntosh and lived there until 1969. She was active in the Methodist church and civic clubs in McIntosh. She was also past president of the PTA and taught Sunday school classes. In St. Petersburg, Mrs. Wynne was co-owner with her late husband of the Gulfshore Sport Store for 16 years. She was a member of Allendale United Methodist Church and the Women's Society for Christian Service.
Mrs. Wynne was a graduate of Florida State College for Women and was a member of the Chi Omega sorority.
Mrs. Wynne was preceded in death by her husband, Bill. Survivors include two sons, William H. Wynne Jr. of Tampa and Kirk C. Wynne of LaGrange, Ga.; two daughters, Beverly Wynne Ritter of St. Louis, Mo., and Louise Wynne Smith of St. Petersburg; and 10 grandchildren.
Sarah B. Nash
Sarah B. Nash of Gainesville died Tuesday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 87.
Mrs. Nash was a retired administrative assistant for the Broward County School Board. She was also a former social worker.
She was born in Ithaca, N.Y., and moved from Fort Lauderdale to Gainesville three years ago.
Mrs. Nash received a bachelor's degree from Cornell University in Ithaca.
She was Jewish.
Mrs. Nash was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel K. Nash.
Survivors include three sisters, Florence Abrahams of New York City, Alice Horn of Gainesville and Rachel Stone of Fort Lauderdale; and two brothers, Morris Blostein of San Diego and Leon Blostein of Rochester, N.Y.
Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Alzheimer's Association in Gainesville.
Bill C. Willis
STARKE -- Bill C. Willis of Starke died unexpectedly Thursday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. He was 54.
Mr. Willis was a steel worker in the construction industry.
He was born in Erbacon, W.Va., and moved from St. Albans, W.Va., to Starke 11 years ago.
Mr. Willis was a Baptist.
Survivors include five brothers, Harold Willis and Kenneth Willis, both of Starke, Charles Willis of St. Albans, Ronald Willis of Libby, Mont., and Donald Willis of Madison, Tenn.
Charles M. Kivler Jr.
HAWTHORNE - Charles M. Kivler Jr. died Thursday at Hospice of Marion in Ocala. He was 58.
He was born in Winter Haven. He lived in Gainesville from 1963-1977, moved to Jacksonville from 1977-1984 and then relocated to Gainesville in 1984.
Mr. Kivler was a member of Mandarin United Methodist Church in Jacksonville and University United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
He was a former Mason and Shriner. He was manager of physical facilities for Alachua and Duval county school systems. He worked for the physical plant at the University of Florida as a building and plans inspector.
Survivors include four daughters, Elizabeth Ann Kivler and Sarah Rowan Kivler, both of Jacksonville, Barbara Kivler Hansen of Orange Park and Carolyn Hope Kivler of Gainesville.

Elise P. Lockwood
INTERLACHEN - Elise P. Lockwood died suddenly Wednesday at her Interlachen home.
She was a native of Asch, Czechoslovakia. She moved from Annapolis, Md., to Interlachen 20 years ago.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary Post 10164 in Interlachen, social member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 183 in Interlachen, the Fraternal Order of Eagles auxiliary Aerie 3822 in Interlachen, the Am Vets auxiliary Post 86 in Keystone Heights, the Loyal Order of the Moose auxiliary Lodge 184 in Palatka and the Order of the Eastern Star in Annapolis.
She enjoyed raising white German shepherds and reportedly had the oldest line of these dogs in the United States.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E. Lockwood.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Ciola Lockwood and Patricia Marilyn Lockwood, both of Melrose; a sister, Adele Uhrich of Germany; a brother, Georg Hertel of Germany; and two grandchildren.
Elizabeth Meacham Wilson
WILLISTON - Elizabeth Meacham Wilson died Thursday at her Williston home after an extended illness. She was 84.
She was born in Morganfield, Ky., and moved to Williston from Jacksonville several years ago.
She was a retired clerk.
Mrs. Wilson was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Barrentine of Destin and Peggy Brooks of Williston; a son, Charles Payne of Palatka; two sisters, Eleanor Thurmond of Daytona Beach and Annie McElroy of Waverly, Ky.; two brothers, William Meacham of Sturgis, Ky., and Charles Meacham of Morganfield, Ky.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Adele Galati
Adele Galati of Gainesville died Friday at the Gainesville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 77.
She was born in Camden, N.J., and moved to Gainesville from Port Charlotte in 1986.
She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Nicholas Galati of Gainesville; and two daughters, Darlene Pifalo of Gainesville and Roberta Galati of Philadelphia.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Friends of the Alachua County Animal Shelter.
