LILLIAN P. COLLINS

Lillian P. Collins passed away Sunday Dec.28, 2003 at a local nursing home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1908 in Fall River Massachusetts to Martin and Catherine Ryder Patten. She has made Pensacola her home for the past 60 years since her husband's retirement from the military.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard.
She is survived by a daughter Patricia C. Brown and husband William and a son Leonard J. Collins and wife Priscilla ,six grandchildren Kevin Brown and wife Keely, Martin Brown and wife Kathy, Janet Flynn, Catherine Brown Mackin and husband John, Brendon Collins and wife Daniella and Tanya Wagner and husband Carson. Also 13 great-grandchildren; Kyle, Konnor Brown; Katy, Mary, Julie, Amy Mackin; Catherine, Colleen Flynn; Sean, Sara, Kelsey Brown; and Mathew Collins.
She was a long standing member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and St. Stephens Legion of Mary. The Wake will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday January 1, 2004 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday January 2, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Msgr. John Cassidy officiating. Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Dr. Micheal Henderson, Eddie Henderson, Donnie Henderson and Steve Henderson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Thomas More Building Fund, Hospice of Pensacola or Haven Of Our Lady Of Peace.

KATHRYN "KATIE" COLMER
1922-2003
Kathryn Hoffman Colmer, age 81, passed away on December 26, 2003.
She was born December 25, 1922 and reared in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the daughter of Harry Otto Hoffman and Katie Mai Galloway Hoffman. She attended the University of Mississippi. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She married Dr. William Meyers Colmer Jr. of Pascagoula, Mississippi on September 15, 1951 and they had two sons. She was a member at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. She chaired the committees at St. Christopher's responsible for the production of new needlepoint kneelers for the church sanctuary. She was a member of the Pensacola Junior League and supported her husband in his many efforts to improve health care in the panhandle of Florida and south Alabama. She is survived by her two sons, Meyers Hoffman Colmer of Pensacola, Florida and William Galloway Colmer and his wife, Marie, of Montgomery, Alabama; her grandson, Jonathon Meyers Colmer; and many other family members whom she dearly loved. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday January 2, 2004 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 3200 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32503 with the Reverend Lester E. Durst, officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church. RALPH IRA COTTINGHAM

Ralph Ira Cottingham passed away on December 29, 2003 at the age of 78.
He was born April 14, 1925 in Jerseyville, Illinois, to Lloyd and Anna Hunter Cottingham. He graduated from Jerseyville High School, The University of Illinois Engineering School, and the U.S. Naval Midshipman School at Notre Dame. He proudly served our country in World War II as an officer aboard the battleship USS Washington . On July 11, 1953 he married Irene Groba of Taylor, Texas . In 1961 they settled in Pensacola where Ralph began an engineering career at Monsanto Chemical Company, retiring in 1983. Together with Irene, they owned and managed Palafox Mobile Home Park until their retirement in 1999. An avid golfer, he regularly enjoyed playing the courses in the Pensacola and surrounding areas. He also loved "playing" the stock market, analyzing data with his home computer, and sharing ideas and advice with family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Irene. He was one of six children and is survived by two brothers, Morris Cottingham of Boulder, Colorado, Keith Cottingham of Jerseyville, Illinois, and many kind and wonderful friends.
Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel North-Cantonment on Thursday, January 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial services will be at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, January 2 at Faith Chapel North-Cantonment. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola.

HELEN S. GREENE
1920 2003
Helen S. Greene, 83, of Pensacola passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2003 in Pensacola.
Helen, a native of New York City, NY, moved to Pensacola in 1950. In the early sixties she owned and operated Warrington Knit and Purl Shop and served as President of the CPO Wives Club. She was an active member of Warrington United Methodist Church and BPOE # 2108 Elkettes.Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Perry F.Greene, Jr., and her son, Perry F. Greene III.
She is survived by her children, Michael Greene (Alice) of Fontana, CA, John Greene (Edna) of Pensacola, Linda Hintz (Bob) of Pensacola, Billy Greene (Chris) of Pensacola, Judith Morris (David) of St. Petersburg, FL, and Susan McKinnon (Ian) of Pensacola; eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Friday, January 2, 2004 at Warrington United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM.
Pallbearers will be Michael Greene, John Greene, Billy Greene, Johnny Greene, Jeff Greene, Jerry Greene, Michael Greene, Jr., Brian Greene, and Jason Masek.
Interment will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.

Mable Brantley "Ginny Mom" Morris, age 78, of Pensacola, FL died December 30, 2003 at home.
She was a retiree of Gayfers and a member of Olive Baptist Church. She was a Loving, Dedicated Mother, Grandmother, Sister & Aunt. "Ginny Mom" will be missed so dearly by all. She was a very special woman who touched and blessed so many lives.
Survivors include a brother Johnny Mac of Old Texas , AL; beautiful sisters: Beatrice of Monroeville, AL, Eulyn of Mathews, AL, Louise of Old Texas , AL; sons: Brantley Morris of Orlando, FL, Marty Morris (Verteen) of Pace, FL, Douglas Morris (Kim) of Nashville, TN; Grandchildren: Stacey (Jason), Todd (Laura), Robby, Emily, Garrett & Parker. great-grandchildren: Gatlin & Camden. Terry Nelson, age 48, of Milton, Florida passed away suddenly Monday, December 29, 2003.
Terry moved to Milton in 1974 from Crestview. Terry was a truck driver for 20 years and a member of the AmVets Post in Milton, Florida.
His parents Jesse and Margaret Nelson precede Terry in death.

Earl Don Snyder, 71, of Freeport, died Monday, December 29, 2003 in a local hospital.
Don was born in St. Joseph, MO and had resided in St. Joseph, Pensacola and Freeport until his death.
He was a retired anesthetist and Pensacola business man. He is survived by his only daughter, Patricia Snyder, Dallas, TX. Funeral services will be held in St. Joseph, MO.
ELSIE ADELE SULLIVAN
1913-2003
Elsie Adele Sullivan, age 90, passed away December 23, 2003, at Keesler A.F.B. Medical Center in Biloxi, MS.
Mrs. Sullivan was born January 29, 1913, in Hampton, VA, and resided in Gulf Breeze, FL, for many years prior to moving to Biloxi, Mrs. Sullivan proudly sponsored the launching of a minesweeper, the USS Acme, in Booth Bay Harbor on June 23, 1955, and she enjoyed traveling the world.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Turner and Lily Pearl Oldfield Sharp; her husband, US Naval Capt. (Ret.) Cornelius M. Sullivan; brothers, Edward Raymond, and John David Sharp; sisters, Norma Elizabeth Sharp Leggett, Marion Virginia Sharp Carlstrom, Ada Lillian Sharp Budd, and Alice Vanderslide Sharp Scott. Survivors include a stepson, Carter Sullivan (Pat) and granddaughter, Diane Sullivan, of Virginia Beach, VA; niece, Marion Carlstrom Trick, of Cowdrey, CO; nephew Edward G. Sharp, of West Palm Beach, FL; grandniece, Christine Trick Tamaru, of Kailua, HI; great-grandnieces, Sande Hentges, of Ocean Springs, MS; April Nottage, of Kailua, HI; and many other nieces, nephews, and grand, great-grand, and great-great- grandnieces and nephews.
She will be dearly missed by her relatives and friends, among them, Robert (Barbara) Smith of Pensacola, FL, and Jeff (Dottie) Castleberry, of Gulf Breeze, FL; and Susan Bailey, of San Antonio, TX.

RALPH R. CURREY
Ralph R. Currey passed away at his home on Friday, December 31, 1999. He was born in Morris Plains, New Jersey.
Mr. Currey was a veteran of World War II having served with a PT Boat Squadron in the Asiatic Pacific. He was long associated with road construction and was sales manager for A.J. Ferrante & Sons in Bernardsville, New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Brenda Boulton of Gulf Breeze, FL; son, Robert & his wife, Patricia of Richardson, TX; 3 loving & caring grandsons, Mark Currey, and Scott & Jeff Boulton; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2000 at 6 pm, at the Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church. Time to visit with the family will follow the service.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church Building Fund, a project Mr. Currey was most anxious to see realized.

Tania L. Deveckx, 23, of Pensacola, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, December 29, 1999.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wade.
Tania is survived by her parents, Dennis & Linda Deveckx of Pensacola; and niece & nephew, Heather and Brandon Deveckx of Lancaster, CA.

Elizabeth Featherman, 46, of Pensacola, died Friday, December 24, 1999 in an automobile accident in Pennsylvania .
Mrs. Featherman was born in the Philippines and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother, who was very supportive to all. Mrs. Featherman will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Featherman is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Featherman; daughters, Margaret Featherman, Mary Grace Featherman, Marie Featherman & Anna Featherman; a grandson, Tyler Featherman; and six siblings in the Philippines.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Tuesday, January 4, 2000 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. Father Richard Altenbaugh officiating.
Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
