Sandra Lee Troyer
Sandra Lee Troyer of Apple Creek, Ohio, died Friday in Canton, Ohio, after a long illness. She was 35.
Mrs. Troyer taught Sunday school and worked as a secretary at West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster, Ohio.
She was a cheerleader adviser for Southeast Warriors Pee-Wee football team at Apple Creek Elementary School in Ohio.
She was born in Worcester, Mass., and moved to Ohio 24 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Paul D. Troyer of Apple Creek; two daughters; her parents; a brother; a sister, Cindy Whytsell of Gainesville; and her grandmother.

Neal V. Varnes
LAKE BUTLER - Neal V. Varnes of Lake Butler died Sunday at Palm Garden Care Center in Lake City after a long illness. He was 72.
Mr. Varnes was a marine carpenter and former employee of Shadd Enterprises.
Born in Union County, he lived in Jacksonville before moving back to Lake Butler 21 years ago.
Mr. Varnes was a member of the Lake Butler Veterans of Foreign Wars and the First Christian Church of Lake Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Broadwell Varnes of Lake Butler; a son, Albert R. Varnes of Naples; three stepsons, Robert Moore of Port St. Joe, Walter T. Moore of Macon, Ga., and Vic S. Moore of Boynton Beach; a brother, Aaron Varnes of Lake Butler; three sisters, Mary Toole of Wildwood, Martha Peacock of Lake Butler and Lannie Boyd of Chattahoochee; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Rose Marie Walker
Rose Marie Walker of Gainesville died Sunday at Shands at the University of Florida. She was 65.
Mrs. Walker delivered The Gainesville Sun to newsstands.
Born in Edenton, N.C., she moved from Bronson to Gainesville 20 years ago.
Mrs. Walker was a member of Gainesville Women's Club Bowling Association and was a Hall of Famer and a 600 Club member.
She was a Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Frank T. Walker Jr. of Gainesville; a daughter, Terri L. Laroue of New Baden, Ill.; and one grandson.

Frances Sue Yates
Frances Sue Yates of Gainesville died Sunday at her home. She was 88.
Mrs. Yates formerly taught school at Kirby-Smith, Stephen C. Foster and Duval elementary schools.
Born in Cheyenne, Wyo., she moved from Avon Park to Gainesville 58 years ago.
Mrs. Yates was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Chester R. Yates of Gainesville; a daughter, Bobbie Sue Robertson of Temple Terrace; a son, Sanford V. Yates of Alachua; a brother, H.H. Graham of Severna Park, Md.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Jacqueline "Jackie" Eatman
STARKE - Jacqueline "Jackie" Eatman of Starke died Saturday in the Whispering Pines Care Center after an extended illness. She was 81.
Mrs. Eatman was born in Lukins and moved to Starke from Archer in 1986. She graduated from the Kirby-Smith School in Gainesville, was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church of Starke.
Mrs. Eatman was preceded in death by her husband, William Randolph Eatman. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Taylor of Starke; two sisters, Clementine Smith of Archer and Mary Smith of Newberry; six grandchildren; and seven great- grand-children.
Rev. C.A. Griffin
LIVE OAK - The Rev. C.A. Griffin of Plant City died Friday at South Florida Baptist Hospital. He was 84.
Rev. Griffin was born in Live Oak. He taught school for 45 years and was minister for 35 years.
He was a member of the Church of God, of Hayward Masonic Lodge No. 45 in Live Oak, the Suwannee Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star No. 45. He was a member of the Morocco Temple in Jacksonville, where he was a 32 Degree Mason. He was also a Woodman of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Griffin of Plant City; and four daughters, Nira Leon of San Antonio, Texas, Abbie Jane Phillips and Nancy Gardner of Plant City and Agnes Turosky of Hunlock Creek, Pa.
Jason Lance Methvin
ARCHER - Jason Lance Methvin of Archer died Thursday during an auto accident near Williston. He was 20.
Mr. Methvin was born in Tampa and moved to the Fort White area in 1980.
He graduated from Trenton High School. He worked at Monterey Boats in Archer and Williston.
Survivors include his parents, Susan C. O'Conner Kelleher of Wilmington, Del., and Richard C. Methvin of Fort White; stepfather Francis Kelleher of Wilmington; his fiancee, Shelia Cook of Fort White; two brothers, Avery Kelleher and Justin Kelleher, both of Wilmington; and grandfathers Aubrey Methvin of Fort White and Winton Norris of Lake City.
William John Davenport
William John Davenport of Gainesville died Friday at Shands at the University of Florida after a short illness. He was 64.
Mr. Davenport was an administrator at the UF College of Medicine. He also was a former vice president and controller at The Gainesville Sun and The New York Times Southern Properties for 22 years until stepping down in 1986.
Mr. Davenport was born in Equality, Ill., and moved from Tampa to Gainesville 35 years ago.
He was a former City League Baseball coach, a past president of the Gainesville Golf and Country Club, a former Gainesville Jaycee and a member of the Gainesville Quarterback Club and Touchdown Club.
He belonged to First United Methodist Church of Gainesville.
"He's just so well-loved by so many people, " said his wife, Peggy Jeffers Davenport. "He liked everybody he had any contact with."
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Davenport of Gainesville; two daughters, Debby Shaw of Alachua and Denise Boothby of Gainesville; a son, Jon David Davenport; a brother, Dennis R. Davenport Sr.; and four grandchildren.
Inez Voyles
LIVE OAK - Inez Voyles of Live Oak died Friday in Live Oak after a long illness. She was 70.
Mrs. Voyles was a housewife.
Born in Sermons, she moved to Live Oak 34 years ago.
Mrs. Voyles belonged to Calvary Baptist Church in St. Augustine.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Lawrence of Live Oak; four brothers, Thomas Cox, Albert Cox, Alton Cox and Floyd Cox, all of St. Augustine; a sister, Mildred Grambling of Live Oak; two half-brothers, Larry Cox of St. Augustine and Marvin Cox of Orlando; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Percy L. Bainbridge
JACKSONVILLE BEACH - Percy L. Bainbridge of Jacksonville Beach died Friday in Jacksonville Beach.. He was 96.
Mr. Bainbridge was a retired engineer for Seaboard/Coastline Railroad.
Born in Richland, he moved from Melrose to Jacksonville Beach 14 years ago.
Mr. Bainbridge was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Melrose. He also belonged to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Bainbridge, and a daughter, Betty Jo Odom.
Survivors include three daughters, Earnestine Hunter of Gainesville, Earlene Holton of Neptune Beach and Martha LeCheminant of Port Orange; two sons, Wayne Bainbridge of Daytona Beach and Raymond Bainbridge of Melrose; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
