Thomas D. Bustle of Gainesville died at Shands at AGH Sunday after a long illness. He was 79.
Mr. Bustle was born in Rock Castle County in Kentucky. He moved from Margate to Gainesville 21 years ago.
He was a retired truck driver and a fishing guide in the Everglades.
Mr. Bustle served in the Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Hanlin Bustle of Gainesville; three sons, Dean Bustle and Wayne Bustle, both of Dabney, Ind., and Jack Bustle of Holton, Ind.; three stepdaughters, Linda Owens and Sherri Dolan, both of Georgia, and Patti Blankenship of Alaska; three brothers, Wade Bustle and Phil Bustle, both of Cincinnati and Ova Bustle of Blue Ash, Ohio; and two sisters, Jean Felix of Ohio and Enola Jones of Arizona.
James Hall
CHIEFLAND - James "Shorty" Hall of Chiefland died Friday in his home. He was 73.
Mr. Hall was born in Georgia and lived in Chiefland for 44 years. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include a daughter, Modene Watson of Gulf Hammock; three brothers, Paul Hall of South Carolina, and Randall Hall and Tommy Hall, both of Cairo, Ga.; three sisters, Mildred Dollar, Agnes Fountain and Helen Rolin, all of Climax, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
William I. Sanborn
William "Bill" I. Sanborn of Old Town died Sunday in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lake City after a long illness. He was 68.
Mr. Sanborn was born in Upland, Pa., and moved from Tampa to Old Town 17 years ago.
He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed wood working.
Survivors include his wife, Twila Sanborn of Old Town; a son, Kenneth M. Sanborn of Old Town; a daughter, Sherri Lynne Dodsworth of Cape San Blas; a sister, Joan Wright of Fayetteville, Ark.; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
Robert Earl Stanford
LAKE CITY - Robert Earl Stanford of Lake City died at Shands at Lake Shore on Sunday. He was 77.
Mr. Stanford was born in Coachman and moved from Fort Stewart, Ga., to Lake City 36 years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, including during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Stanford was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and of the American Legion No. 57.
He. was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Betzer Stanford of Lake City; a son, Daniel Stanford of Lake City; a brother, Cyrus Byrd of Spring Hill; and two grandchildren.
Edna Hudson Maige
JACKSONVILLE - Edna Hudson Maige of Jacksonville died suddenly in her home Saturday. She was 70.
Mrs. Maige was born and raised in Jacksonville. She worked for many years for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was an active member of Hyde Park Baptist Church.
Mrs. Maige was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Maige Sr. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Wingate of Gainesville; a son, Robert Maige Jr.; and three granddaughters.
Leonard B. Kruk Sr.
Leonard Bernard Kruk Sr. of Gainesville died Saturday at Hospice House in Gainesville. He was 90.
Mr. Kruk was born in Nanticoke, Pa., and moved here nine years ago from Emmaus, Pa. He was a retired district manager of Nestle's, where he worked for 36 years. Mr. Kruk was a devout Catholic who in the past has in church choirs and glee clubs. He attended Holy Faith Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. He was known at The Atrium as the "Birthday Man" for singing "Happy Birthday" to residents, employees and guests.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara McIntyre of Gainesville and Carol Mikulski of Medford, N.J.; two sons, Leonard B. Kruk Jr. of Lakewood, N.J., and Stan R. Kruk of Orange Beach, Ala.; two sisters, Eleanor Kruk and Francis Jelinski, both of Baldwin, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Ama N. Foley Meadows
WILLISTON - Ama N. Foley Meadows of Williston died Saturday at her home after a short illness. She was 91.
Mrs. Meadows was a homemaker. Born in Spanishburg, W.Va., she moved from Crab Orchard, W.Va. to Williston 25 years ago.
Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her husband, Darrh Meadows; a son, Robert Meadows; two daughters, Betty Ann Meadows and Jaueline Gautier; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Paul Edward Meadows of Tallahassee; three daughters, Virginia Dare Thompson of Sandyville, W.Va., Maxine Meador and Mary Jean Bullock, both of Williston; and 23 grandchildren.

Charmco Chester Byrd Jr.
Charmco Chester Byrd Jr. of Hawthorne died April 6 in Mobile, Ala., after a train accident. He was 30.
Mr. Byrd was a heavy equipment operator. Born in Charleston, W. Va., he moved from West Palm Beach to Hawthorne nine years ago. Mr. Byrd was a Baptist.
Survivors include his parents, Charmco and Peggy Byrd of Hawthorne; his maternal grandparents, Hobert and Hazel Carter of Charleston; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Byrd of Charleston; and two sisters, Laura Byrd of West Palm Beach and Jennifer Byrd of Hawthorne.
Robbie C. Clark
McALPIN - Robbie C. Clark of McAlpin died Friday at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville after a short illness. She was 78.
Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and a member of Higher Heights Christian Fellowship in Lake City.
Born in Dothan, Ala., she moved from Plant City to McAlpin 25 years ago.
Survivors include her husband, William Clinton Clark of McAlpin; a daughter, Martha Huling of Trenton; a son, Bill Clark of Brandon; a sister, Frances Paynter of Clearwater; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Jessie L. Hines
LAKE BUTLER - Jessie L. Hines of Lake Butler died unexpectedly Tuesday in Washington, D.C. He was 58.
Mr. Hines was a truck driver for Emergency One.
He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Born in Gilchrist County, he moved from Gainesville to Lake Butler 15 years ago.
Mr. Hines was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hines of Gainesville; a son, Michael Hines of Gainesville; a brother, Dozier Hines of Gainesville; and a sister, Joyce Bass of Lake Butler.
Michael Leonard Matsko
Michael Leonard Matsko of Gainesville died at home after a long illness. He was 78.
Mr. Matsko retired after 35 years as a driver for Central Truck Lines, formerly of Gainesville. He also served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Born in Beaver Meadows, Pa., he moved from Hazelton, Pa., to Gainesville 54 years ago.
Mr. Matsko was recently a member of Holy Faith Catholic Church, and originally was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where he was head usher and a member of the Holy Name Society. He was instrumental in organizing and fund raising for the start of the St. Patrick Interparish School.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Matsko of Gainesville; two daughters, Michelle Fonk and Donna Boyle, both of Gainesville; three brothers and six sisters, all of Pennsylvania; two granddaughters, Kelly and Katie Boyle, of Gaineville; and eight step-grandchildren.

John Edward Richards
CROSS CITY - John Edward Richards of Cross City died Friday at his home. He was 88.
Mr. Richards was a retired welding teacher at Dixie County High School.
Born in Hillsboro, Ohio, he moved from Ohio to Cross City 54 years ago.
He graduated from the Piano Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Survivors include his caregiver, Betty Fowler of Cross City; a brother, Scott Worley of Inverness; and numerous nieces and nephews.
