Robert Lemuel Martin
BELL - Robert Lemuel Martin of Bell died Wednesday at Ayers Health and Rehab Center in Trenton. He was 89.
Mr. Martin was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Bell.
He was a member of Jennings Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mellise Isabell Martin of Bell; three daughters, Jeanette Cannon of Trenton, Arenette Cannon of Plant City and Jean Marlowe of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 18 great- grandchildren.
Jewell Velma Busbee Ridout
Jewell Velma Busbee Ridout of Gainesville died Thursday in Gainesville after a long illness. She was 92.
Mrs. Ridout was a homemaker.
She was born in Royston, Ga., and moved from Jacksonville to Gainesville 10 years ago.
Mrs. Ridout was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Gainesville Woman's Club and was past president of the Florida Peace Officers Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ridout.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay R. Galm of Gainesville; and one grandson.

Barbara Jean Tillman
CHIEFLAND - Barbara Jean Tillman of Chiefland died Wednesday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after a long illness. She was 65.
Mrs. Tillman retired as a secretary at Chiefland Elementary School.
She was born in Greenville and moved from Gulf Hammock to Chiefland 52 years ago.
Mrs. Tillman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chiefland.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Watson of Bronson; four sons, Jack Ayers of Altha, Tom Tillman of Tampa, Dan Tillman of Los Angeles and Doug Tillman of Dallas; three sisters, Amelia Cannon, Mary Alice Hardee and Madge Gay, all of Chiefland; a brother, Rufus Meriwether of Chiefland; six grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.
Marie W. Lee
Marie W. Lee of Gainesville died Feb. 17 at her home after a short illness. She was 72.
Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and a member of the Word of Deliverance Outreach Ministries.
Born in Alachua, she moved from High Springs to Gainesville five years ago.
Survivors include seven sons, Robert Armstrong of Bronson, Henry Armstrong of Fort Pierce, Richard Glover and Gentle Lee Jr., both of Decatur, Ga., the Rev. Charles Lee and Eric Lee, both of Gainesville, and Sgt. Kenneth Lee of Fresno, Calif.; four daughters, Mary Stacey and Valerie Lee, both of Bronson, Delviena Grimmage and Leatha Lee, both of Gainesville; two brothers, Emmit Williams of Gainesville and Daniel Williams of Alachua; two sisters, Mary Brooks of Jacksonville and Rutha Mae Cooper of Titusville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Katherine E. Monohan
Katherine E. Monohan of Gainesville died Tuesday at Hospice House. She was 83.
Ms. Monohan was a retired bookkeeper for the University of Florida.
Born in Nashville, Tenn., she moved to Gainesville more than 40 years ago.
Survivors include five nephews, including Michael Acree of Archer, Stephen Acree of Gainesville and Brad Acree of Newberry; and two nieces.
Nevada Norris
Nevada Norris of Gainesville died Wednesday in Gainesville. She was 84.
Mrs. Norris was a retired meatpacker.
Born in Quitman, Ga., she moved from Palatka to Gainesville last year.
Mrs. Norris was a member of the Lemon Heights Baptist Church in Palatka.
Survivors include a daughter, Willie Mae Williams of Hawthorne; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Mae Sapp Sale
STARKE - Dorothy Mae Sapp Sale of Starke died Thursday at her home after a long illness. She was 81.
Mrs. Sale was a retired bookkeeper and a former saleswoman at Leila's Dress Shop in Starke.
She was a lifelong resident of Starke and a member of the First Baptist Church in Starke.
Mrs. Sale was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Starke Woman's Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Kaye Gillingham of Starke; a sister, Leila Mundy of Starke; and two grandchildren.

Irene Wilma Bixler
DOWLING PARK - Irene Wilma Bixler of Dowling Park died Tuesday in Dowling Park. She was 89.
Mrs. Bixler was a homemaker and a member of the Dundee Presbyterian Church in Omaha, Neb.
Born in Hastings, Iowa, she moved from Bradenton to Dowling Park 13 years ago.
Survivors include a son, Harold Randall Bixler of Cape Coral; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Fred Douglas Boyd
Fred Douglas Boyd of Gainesville died Friday at his home after a brief illness. He was 72.
Mr. Boyd was a naval shipyard mechanic. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Born in Bracy, Va., he moved from La Grange, Ga., to Gainesville four years ago. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Mae Alford-Boyd.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Boyd of La Grange; two daughters, Inez Patterson of Jamaica, N.Y., and Nadine Poythress of Gainesville; a son, William Elick Boyd of La Grange; two brothers, Matthew Boyd of Rochester, N.Y. and Wilson Boyd of Portsmouth, Va.; two sisters, Lorraine Bullock of Portsmouth and Maggie Plummer of Wise, N.C.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
James H. Browning
CRYSTAL RIVER - James H. Browning of Crystal River died Saturday at his home. He was 77.
Major Browning was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He had served in World War II and the Korean War.
Born in Muncie, Ind., he moved from Summerfield to Crystal River three years ago.
Maj. Browning was a member of the Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Allis Browning of Crystal River; three sons, Richard Browning and Michael Browning, both of Gainesville, and Donald Browning of Stockbridge, Ga.; three brothers, Virgil Browning of Gainesville, John Robert Browning of Green Valley, Ariz., and Paul Browning of Pierceton, Ind.; and two grandsons.

James Lewis Chester
James Lewis Chester of Gainesville died Feb. 17 at his home after a brief illness. He was 45.
Mr. Chester was a carpenter's helper.
He was born in Millen, Ga., and moved from Fort Lauderdale to Gainesville 14 years ago.
Mr. Chester was a member of the Holiness Faith.
Survivors include his parents, Elder E. and Mildred Chester Edwards of Gainesville; two sisters, Mildred D. Battles of Gainesville and Sonya V. Mathis of Lake Worth; and his grandmother, Irene T. Williams of Vidalia, Ga.
