Ada K. Antcliff, 62, Crystal River, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River. She was born June 23, 1940, in Rodney, Mich., to Mary Elizabeth and James Proctor Bolton. She moved to the area 14 years ago from Big Rapids, Mich.
She was a registered nurse at Surrey Place.
Mrs. Antcliff was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are her two daughters, Helen L. Philman and Katherine Steagall, both of Crystal River; three brothers, Steve Bolton of Reed City, Mich., Jimmy Bolton of White Cloud, Mich., and Warren Bolton of Big Rapids, Mich.; a sister, Sharon Giese of Big Rapids, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Walter ‘Tommy’ Leigh II, 47 Inglis
Walter Thomas “Tommy” Leigh II, 47, Inglis, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Tampa General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 29, 1955, in New Port Richey to Walter and Judith (Benbrook) Leigh. He moved to Inglis when he was 8.
Mr. Leigh was a pipefitter with the Framatome Co., and also worked at Florida Power.
He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and air boating.
His father, Walt Leigh, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his mother, Judith Leigh of Independence, Mo.; two sons, Walter Thomas “Trey” Leigh III, who is a sergeant in the U.S. Army and is currently in Iraq, and Randall Leigh of Crawfordville; three brothers, Timothy Leigh and his wife, Vicky, of Homosassa, Wendell Leigh of Homosassa and Vernon Leigh of Independence, Mo.; and a nephew.

Helen Marte, 90, Homosassa, died Friday, April 4, 2003, in Spring Hill.
She worked as an executive secretary at the Northern Radio Co.
She was born May 23, 1912, in New York, N.Y., to John Kuduk and Caroline Wielgosz. She came here 30 years ago from Largo.
Mrs. Marte was a member of St. Thomas Church.
Her husband, Alois A. Marte, who was a lieutenant with the New York City Police Department, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her two brothers, John Kuduk and his wife, Mary, of Andover, N.J., and Marion Kuduk and his wife, Katherine, of Barefoot Bay; three sisters, Mary Zacharski of Calverton, N.Y., Justine Kuduk of New York, N.Y., and Stephanie Lukasiak of Oak Park, Calif.; and eight nieces and nephews.

Douglas Cook, 70 Inverness
Douglas Lee Cook, 70, Inverness, died at home Friday, April 4, 2003.
A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mr. Cook retired to Florida in 1998. He was co-owner of the Cook’s Tobacco Warehouses in Winston-Salem, N.C., and the former Farmer’s Tobacco Warehouse in Timmonsville, S.C.
For 36 years he was a member of the Piedmont-Pioneer Masonic Lodge 685 AF and the Winston-Salem York Rite Bodies. In February, 1985, the Forsyth Lions Club made him an honorary member for his contributions to the Lions Club projects worth “thousands of dollars.”
He graduated from Rural Hall High School in 1950, and attended colleges at Mars Hill and Carson Newman. While serving in the U.S. Army, 1953-1955, he received the National Defense Service Medal.
Mr. Cook was an avid fisherman and trapshooter. He joined and became a lifetime member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association of America (ATA) in 1970. He shot more than 81,000 registered trap targets and was twice awarded the Award for Distinguished Shooting by Winchester-Western. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and a member of the Hernando Sportsman’s Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie E. and Virginia W. Cook of Rural Hall, N.C.; a brother, Rex Glenn Cook; a sister, Dorothy C. Staples; and a stepson, Stanley V. Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Ray Sparks Cook; two daughters, Catherine Cook Hooks of Lewisville, N.C., and Karen Cook Brown of Oakridge, Tenn.; two stepchildren, Eugene Cromeens of Flower Mound, Texas, and Carmen Roberts of New York, N.Y.; a sister, Barbara C. Ziglar of Rural Hall, N.C; six grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was born in Crosby, Ala.
Ms. Hopkins was a retired deli manager employed by Hudson Food Stores.
She was a member of Citronelle Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Bradley Hopkins of Statesville, N.C.; one daughter, Shelia Betts of Paisley; one brother, Marvin Mercer of Auburndale; two sisters, Cybil Guy of Auburndale and Ruth Sheffield of Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Daurice E. Weaver, 80, Beverly Hills, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.
Born July 22, 1922, in Long Beach, Calif., she was the daughter of Beal “Buck” and Adah Ethel Weaver.
She came to this area in 1985 from Los Angeles, Calif., where she had resided for many years.
She was a retired reservationist having worked for more than 25 years for Trans World Airlines (TWA).
She was a talented artist showcasing her work in painting. She was Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her parents in 1972.
She has no surviving family members.
She is survived by longtime friend, co-worker and neighbor, Jacqueline Samson of Beverly Hills.

Born Feb. 23, 1933, in New York City, N.Y., to Harold and Esther (Klied) Baker, he came to this area in 1989 from North Babylon, N.Y.
Mr. Baker was a Union Steam Fitter Local No. 638 of Long Island, N.Y., and a U.S. Air Force Korea veteran.
He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Ellenbrook Baker of Inverness; two sons, Kenneth Baker of Pensacola and Richard Baker of Inverness; two brothers, Ronald Baker and Jack Baker both of Marietta, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

John D. Bolles, 90, Dunnellon, and formerly of Bridgeport, Ill., died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River.
Mr. Bolles was a farmer in Lawrence County, Illinois, and actively involved in many local charities in the area, as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge in Sumner, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bolles.
He is survived by his stepson, Charles Richardville of Olney, Ill.; niece, Deborah Bolles Carl; nephew, Paul Baltzell; great nephew, Don Kimmell and great niece, Wilma Kimmell, all of Illinois.

She was formerly employed as an office secretary.
