John A. Dickerson, 49, Crystal River, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.
Born July 10, 1952, in New Castle, Ind., to Vaughn H. and Mary Lucille (Stearns) Dickerson, he came to this area 16 years ago from there.
Mr. Dickerson was a sales associate for Cellular Advantage Company in Ocala, member of Crystal River Moose Lodge No. 2013 and former member of Citrus Sertoma.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Dickerson of Crystal River; a son, Jason and his wife, Renae, of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Tammy and her husband, Monty Ankrom; a brother, Michael Dickerson and his wife, Kim; and a sister, Linda and her husband, Richard Morris, all of New Castle, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

She was born Sept. 13, 1917, in Empire, Ohio, to Anna and Pete Cenker. She came here from Pennsylvania.
She was a homemaker.
She was Catholic.

Geraldine Gordon, 78 Citrus Springs
Geraldine L. Gordon, 78, Citrus Springs, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, in Gainesville.
She was born June 1, 1923, in Wellington, Del., to Thomas and Susie Lynch. She came here from Ocala in 1997.
Mrs. Gordon was a registered nurse and district supervisor of nursing for the New York Department of Health. She had a master’s degree in public health administrative nursing.
She taught nursing in Ocala; and was an ombudsman for eight years with the state of Florida.
She was a member and active in missionary work at First Baptist Church, Beverly Hills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gordon, in September 1998; two brothers, Thomas and James; and a grandson, Mathew.
Surviving are one son, Robert (Maxine) Gordon of Toledo, Ohio; three sisters, Audriey Lynch of Flushing, N.Y., and Otelia DeLoach and Felicia Jones, both of Philadelphia, Pa.; three grandchildren, Robert Gordon Jr., Lisa (Hosey) Guilatt and Michele (Dr. Raymond) Young; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a retired purchasing agent for a manufacturing company.

Born Dec. 2, 1921, in Plymouth, Mass., to Elliott and Gladys (Millard) Jones, she came to Florida 22 years ago from Taunton, Mass.
She was a retired senior clerk for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and the VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are one daughter, Beverly Demers of Floral City; three brothers, Harold Jones of Rehoboth, Mass., Herbert Jones of Raynham, Mass., and Ray Jones; one sister, Dorothy Gibbs of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Donna, David, Deborah and Danielle; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Mathieu, June 14, 1989.

Robert Dennis Pasquale Jr., 30, Inverness, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born April 26, 1971, in Patchogue, N.Y., to Robert and Susan (Carr) Pasquale Sr. He moved to Florida five years ago from Shirley, N.Y.
He was a graduate of William Floyd High School in Shirley, N.Y., and Suffolk Community College.
He was an auto repair technician employed by Sullivan Pontiac-GMAC in Ocala and formerly by Crystal Chevrolet in Inverness.
He was Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Sawoska, July 27, 1995.

Mrs. Spalti was a member of Hernando United Methodist Church. She loved sewing and her African violets.

Marie Anna Steinhauer, 105, of Sugarmill Woods, Homosassa, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Cypress Cove Care Center.
She was born April 4, 1896, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to William and Elizabeth (Maier) Kusgen, and came here in 1994 from there. She was a lifelong resident until 98 years old.
She was a piano player, was raised on a farm and later moved to Council Bluffs, where she cared for her parents. She was one of the first women to drive a car.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Country Church of Council Bluffs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Steinhauer, three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Deloria S. Peters (Howard A.) of Sugarmill Woods and Marilyn E. Archer (Donald W.) of Arvada, Colo.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Roy Baxter Thorn, 98, Lecanto, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Brentwood Nursing Home in Lecanto.
He was born June 22, 1903, in Fairmont, W.Va., to Martha and Alexander Thorn. He moved here 46 years ago from Akron, Ohio.
Mr. Thorn was a self-employed auto mechanic in business for 50 years in Akron, Ohio, and Inverness.
He was an inventor, politician and sportsman. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge in Akron, Ohio.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Lecanto.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal W. Thorn, and two children, Betty Fink and Ethel J. Savage.
Surviving are his son, Paul Edward Thorn of Hemet, Calif.; one sister, Mildred Reinhart of San Diego, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
