Mary F. Freeman 81, of Sorrento, passed away in Daytona Beach on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. She was born in Loachapoka, Alabama and moved here from Phoenix City, Alabama in 1990. She was a retired clerk for Walgreens Pharmacies, a member of Eustis Lodge 1578 B.P.O.E. and a Methodist.
Mary is survived by three sons, Donald (Susan) Moore of Eustis, Mark Moore of Sorrento and Joseph Armstrong of Brunswick, Ohio, her grandchildren, Ryan Nichols of Joliet, Illinois and Melissa Meli and Elizabeth Moore both of Eustis, her great-granddaughter Lorelai Meli of Eustis, and her sisters, Era Young of Opelika, Alabama and Sue Jenkins of Cottonton, Alabama.
Memorial services were held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel in Eustis on Saturday September 18, 2010 at 11 AM with Dr. Alan J. Holden, Pastor officiating. Those desiring may direct memorials to the charity of their choice.

Mr. Robert T. "Bob" Prosser, of Sorrento, Florida passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the age of 72 years. Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois. He and his wife, Pat moved to Sorrento in 1995 from Chicago. He spent 4 1/2 years serving his country in the US Marine Corp. Bob retired from the police department in Chicago after 34 years of service. He was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Mount Dora, where he was a former Eucharistic minister. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Bob loved to fish and make stained glass.
He is remembered by his wife of 39 years, Pat; sons, Robert Prosser Jr. and his wife, Shelley of Plainfield, IL and Brian Blazek of Yorkville, IL ; daughter, Kelly Avraam and her husband, Nick of Geneva, IL; grandchildren, Madelyn Prosser and Michael Blazek. He was the fond uncle of 3 nephews and a niece as well. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
Mass was held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 9:00 am at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Mount Dora. Final resting place will be Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Chicago. Arrangements are entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis, 352-357-4193.

Terry R. Summersill 42, of Eustis, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 16, 2010. He was born in Orlando and had made Eustis his home since 1992. He was an electrician formerly working for the public school system, an avid Gator fan, a member of the National Rifle Association and a Baptist.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Nancy and Don Moore of Longwood, his siblings, Phillip Summersill of Apopka, Cheryl Hovermale of Lake Mary, Tammie (Mike) Broderick of Lake Mary and Theresa (Greg) Blazina of Longwood, his maternal grandmother, Esther Letourneau of Longwood, nephews, Bradley Broderick of Winter Park, Michael Broderick of Lake Mary, Phillip and Christian Summersill both of Longwood, nieces, Alicia Sanders of Orlando, Tiffany Groom of Orange City, Brittany Morrison of Sanford, Ashley Borrero, Esther Summersill, Hannah Summersill and Megan Blazina all of Longwood, nine great nieces and nephews and his beloved English Bull Dog, "Gator".
Funeral Services will be held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel of Eustis on Tuesday September 28 at 11 O'clock A.M. with Jeff Letourneau, Minister and Mr. Phil Summersill officiating. Sandra L. Henry 59, of Mount Dora, passed away on Sunday September 19, 2010. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved here from Pennsylvania in 2009. She was a waitress and is survived by her son, Scott (Tara) Henry of Mount Dora, her brothers, John McClane of Pittsburgh and Keith McClane of Tampa and her sister Judy McClane also of Pittsburgh.

Robert M. “Bob” Bronson 84, of Eustis, passed away on Sunday September 19, 2010. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and moved to Eustis as an infant in 1926. At age 15, he received the Boy Scout award of Silver Eagle, the youngest Scout to receive that distinction. He graduated from Eustis High School and the University of Florida. For 42 years he was the owner of Bronson Ace Hardware of Eustis which he founded with his father. Bob was a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis, a Veteran having served is the U. S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War, a member of Eustis Lodge 1578 B.P.O.E., a past president of the Eustis Kiwanis Club, former Vice President of the Eustis Chamber of Commerce, former director of the First State Bank, Atlantic Bank and First Union Bank of Eustis, a past president of the Florida Retail Hardware Association, served eight years on the Waterman Hospital Board of Directors and was a long time member of Pine Meadows Golf and Country Club of Eustis.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary Lou, his son Robert M. (Elisa) Bronson Jr. of Apopka, daughters Bonny Gale Bronson of Charlottesville, Virginia and Cathy Lou (Mike) Booth of Keystone Heights, Florida and six grandchildren.
Services were held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel of Eustis at 2 PM Thursday, September 23, 2010 with Rev. Leon Bloder officiating. The final resting place is Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. Brenda M. Donaldson 69, of Eustis, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010. She was born in Miami and moved here in 1995 from Sorrento. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bay Street Baptist Church of Eustis.
She is survived by three sons, Stephen (Kim) Donaldson of Sanford, Daniel (Terry) Donaldson of Crystal River, John (Vickie) Donaldson of Merritt Island and Roger Donaldson of Tampa, two daughters, Deborah (Robin) Hadley of Eustis and Dawn Donaldson of Atlanta, thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 11 AM with Rev. Franklin Stephens officiating, interment followed in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. Mrs. Catherine S. Long, of Mount Dora, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the age of 76 years. She was born in Graceham, MD, the youngest of 13 children. Catherine was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Thurmont, MD. She and her husband, Allen moved to central Florida from Thurmont in December of 1957. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Eustis. Catherine was a great cook and loved to work in the garden.
She is remembered by her husband of 56 years, Allen; son, Dennis A. (Anna) Long of Minot, MO; brothers, Francis (Betty) Seiss of Thurmont, MD, Sterling (Mary Jean) Seiss of Graceham, MD and Floyd ( Verna) Seiss of Rocky Ridge, MD; as well as two granddaughters, Deanna Long of Lakeland, FL and Amanda Freeland of Conover, NC.

Mrs. Gladys L. Adams, of Apopka, FL, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Lakeland, FL and moved to Apopka in 1959. Gladys was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Church of God in Apopka. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1976.
Gladys is remembered by her daughter, Frances (Daryl) Haigwood of Apopka; sons, Samuel C. (Sandra) Adams of Apopka, Byron D. (Suzanne) Adams of Apopka, Anthony W. (Terry) Adams of Apopka and step-son, Ronald Winston (Dorothy) Adams of Orlando; sisters, Norma Gregg and Vivian Carroll, both of Lakeland; as well as 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Roselyn S. Rhodes 85, of Eustis passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was born in Auburndale and made Eustis her home since the 1950’s. Roselyn was retired from the City of Eustis Water Department, was a graduate of Stetson University and a protestant.
She is survived by her sons, Rocky of Eustis and Steven of Fruitland Park.
Services were held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel in Eustis at 11 AM Thursday, October 7, 2010. Rev William Boyer officiated. Private interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.

MaryEllen McGuffin 82, of Umatilla, passed away in Tavares on Saturday, October 9, 2010. She was born in Morgantown, West Virginia and moved here from Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1982. She was a retired collection agent, a graduate of St. Francis de Sales Central Catholic High School of Morgantown, West Virginia, and an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Mount Dora.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years Andrew, her children; Theresa C. Swain of Middletown, Indiana, Rory Daily of Westminster, South Carolina and Kathy Lynn Mackowiak of Jacksonville, Florida, six step children, a sister, Gene Paugh of Morgantown, West Virginia, fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 18440 U.S. Highway 441, Mount Dora, at 10 AM Friday, October 15, 2010. Pastor Michael Coe officiated. Traditional committal services followed immediately in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. The family requests those desiring direct memorials to her Church.
Robert H. "Bob" Hoban
December 21, 1941 - October 9, 2010
Robert H. “Bob” Hoban 68, of Eustis, passed away on October 9, 2010. He was born in Miami and moved here in 2002. He attended the First Baptist Church of Umatilla, retired after working 27 years for Delta Airlines and was currently working in the transportation department at Grand Court in Tavares. He was predeceased by his wife Deborah earlier this year.
Mr. Hoban is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Lynn Traver of Cape Coral, Florida and Samantha Christina (Randy) Rowles of Ft. Worth, Texas, a brother Dennis Hoban of Salisbury, Maryland, three sisters, Jacqueline England of Salisbury, Maryland, Tana Calvert of North Carolina and Kelly Salyers of Princess Anne, Maryland, his grandchildren, Chad Daniel Traver, Charles Patrick Rowles and Austin Taylor Rowles and his cousins Gary and Daryl White.
Memorial services were held in the First Baptist Church of Umatilla at 11 AM Thursday, October 14, 2010. Rev. Brooks Braswell officiated. Final resting place is Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. Those desiring are requested to direct memorials to the First Baptist Church of Umatilla.
Beulah R. Rupert

Mrs. Beulah R. Rupert, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Marshfield, Indiana and moved to this area in 1980 from Bremen, Indiana. She worked many years for the A& P Supermarket in South Bend, Indiana. Beulah was strong in her faith and her love of the Lord and celebrated that faith as a member of New Life Baptist Church on Radio Road in Leesburg. She loved Bingo and playing Hand and Foot, a card game she enjoyed with her neighbors.
Beulah is remembered by her sons, David (Donna) Parrish of Arizona and Peter Parrish of the Philippines; daughters, Linda (James) Nowak of Warsaw, IN and Sandra (Michael) Paczkowski of Bremen, IN; as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Rupert and her son, Dennis Parrish.
