BOOTH, MARY LOU WELLS, 66, of Crystal River, formerly of Clearwater, died Monday (Jan. 29, 2001) at home. She was born in Uniontown, Pa., and moved to Crystal River in 1971 from Clearwater. She was Presbyterian. Survivors include her husband, Richard; two sons, William McGregor Wells, Homosassa Springs, and Robert McGregor Wells, Crystal River; a daughter, Nancy Wells Kolinski, Colorado; two sisters, Lois Elaine Scott, Inverness, and Sandra Lee McAdams, Clearwater; and five grandchildren. FRIEND, GEORGETTE HARNOIS, 74, of Largo, died Tuesday (Jan. 23, 2001) at the home of her daughter in Venice, Fla. She was born in Chicopee, Mass., and came here in 1971 from Holyoke, Mass. She was a homemaker, Catholic and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include five sons, Ronald, Largo, Daniel, Robert and Paul, all of Tampa, and Richard, Apache Junction, Ariz.; two daughters, Kathrynn King, Venice, and Jeanne Tsatsos, Southwick, Mass.; three sisters, Jean Berneche, and Lucille Pray, both of Aldenville, Mass., and Elaine Scott, Chicopee; her longtime companion, Andrew Yurcak, Largo; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Forest Lawn Cremation Services, Sarasota.

JONES, CLELLIE M., 87, of Largo, died Wednesday (Jan. 31, 2001) at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. She was born in Madison County, Ala., and came here in 1986 from Northbrook, Ill. She was a homemaker and Protestant. She was a former member of Locust Grove Baptist Church, Huntsville, Ala. Survivors include two daughters, Doris J. Berry, Seminole, and Josephine Rossdil, Streamwood, Ill.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, cemetery & Cremation Services, Seminole.

KLUTTS, LILA PAULINE, 88, of Largo, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2001) at Palm Garden of Largo nursing home after a long illness. She was born in Mulberry, came to St. Petersburg in 1935 from Bartow, and moved in 1996 to Largo. Survivors include three daughters, M. Susan Klutts-Chichester, Clearwater, and Patricia K. Lee and Sally K. Carson, both of Pinellas Park; a brother, Robert O. Polk, Bartow; and three grandsons, John R. Lee II and R. Darrell Lee, both of Pinellas Park, and Charles Edward Carson, Durham, N.C. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Bobbitt Chapel, St. Petersburg.

WARREN, THOMAS McCORMICK, 73, of Treasure Island, formerly of Largo and Tampa, died Wednesday (Jan. 31, 2001) at home after a short illness. He was born in Washington, Ga., and was raised in Tampa. He lived in Connecticut before retuning to Florida in 1970. He was an Army veteran and retired as president of Florida Forest Products of Largo in 1991. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Patt; two daughters, Kendra, Clearwater, and Lynn, Portland, Ore; a son, Thomas, Texas; and three grandchildren. WEIKEL, MARIE C. FOLEY, 83, a winter resident of Largo, died Tuesday (Jan. 23, 2001) at Largo Medical Center. She was born in Philadelphia and was a winter visitor since 1984 from Lindenwold, N.J. She was a homemaker and attended St. Jerome Catholic Church, Largo. Survivors include two daughters, Marie Ivins, Pen Argyl, Pa., Barbara Adams, Spring Hill; a son, William, Seminole; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. BIALAS, LOUIS S., 80, of Pinellas Park, died Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2001) at Jacaranda Manor. He came here in 1957 from his native Chicago. He was a plant operator for Pinellas County schools. He was Catholic and a member of the Polish American Society. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Florence; a daughter, Nancy Young, St. Petersburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Brett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, St. Petersburg.

LAWSON, BERNICE J., 63, of Pinellas Park, died Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2001) at home. Born in Concord, Mass., she came here in 1961 from Maynard, Mass. She was a registered nurse at the Emerson Hospital in Concord and a home health aide after moving to Pinellas County. In St. Petersburg, she worked at Jacaranda Manor, Sunshine Village Nursing Home, Rosedale Nursing Home and St. Giles' Nursing Home. In Kenneth City, she was employed by Colonial Care. In Pinellas Park, she worked at Bayada Nurses, Kelly Assisted Living and Parkside Nursing Home. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, John Jr.; four sons, Mark R. and John III, both of Pinellas Park, Fredrick J., Shirley, Mass., and Gene Dale, Old Town; and a daughter, Kimberly May Lynn, Pinellas Park; her mother, Gwendolyn Peterson Duval, Littleton, Mass.; a sister, Virginia Berg, Boxborough, Mass.; a brother, Everett Peterson, North Hampton, Mass.; and seven grandchildren. PALMER, WILLIAM L., 73, of Pinellas Park, died Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2001) at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. Born in Altoona, Pa., he came here in 1992 from Fort Worth, Texas. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired after 32 years as a salesman for McClure & McClure Floor Covering in Altoona. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1912 of Madeira Beach and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Margaret; two sons, James, Pinellas Park, and William L. Jr., Glen Rose, Texas; two grandsons; a niece; and a nephew. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Bobbitt Chapel, St. Petersburg.

PETTENGILL, FLORENCE B., 86, of Clearwater, died Wednesday (June 19, 2002) at Manor Care of Palm Harbor. She was born in Lyndhurst, N.J., and came here in 1984 from Rutherford, N.J. She worked as a secretary in the banking industry and as a flower arranger. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Dunedin. Survivors include a son, Jeff, Palm Harbor; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, Clearwater.

HARMON, WILMA ALICE, 88, of Largo, died Thursday (June 20, 2002) at Belleair Country House, Clearwater. She was born in Whiting, Ind., and came here in 1986 from Griffith, Ind. She was a homemaker. Her memberships included Calvary United Methodist Church in Largo and the Home Extension Club and Tri-Kappa, both in Indiana. Survivors include a son, John T., Columbus, Ind.; a daughter, Lynn A. Harvey, Valparaiso, Ind.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Osgood-Cloud Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Pinellas Park.

ROBINSON, BEVERLY ANN "BEV," 61, of Largo, died Thursday (June, 20, 2002) at Largo Medical Center. She was born in Rochester, Mich., and came here in 1988 from Traverse City, Mich. She worked as a clerk for Belleair Bluffs Cleaners, Belleair Bluffs. She was Protestant. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Frank L.; two sons, Mike and Mark, both Florence, Ala.; and a grandchild. ALifeTribute FuneralCare, St. Petersburg.

CARDWELL, MARY GIRARDIN, 62, of Pinellas Park, died Friday (June 21, 2002) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. She was born in Adams, Mass., and came here in 1991 from Springfield, Mass. In 1983, she founded and was president of A Child's Wish Come True Foundation Inc. in Worcester, Mass., and opened chapters nationwide. She was a member of Pinellas Park Baptist Temple, where she was a teacher of the 4-year-old boys' Sunday school class. Survivors include her husband, Charles D.; four sons, William E. Koch, Newton, Ala., Alan Koch, Johnson City, Tenn., and Charles Cardwell and James Cardwell, both of Pinellas Park; four daughters, Linda Farr, Sebastian, Tammy Sultaire, St. Petersburg, Cherryl Keifer, Meriden, Conn., and Pauleen Kidd, Madeira Beach; two brothers, Donald MacIntyre, Needham, Mass., and Peter MacIntyre, Sanford; two sisters, Connie March, Palm Coast, and Marilyn Rogers, Salome, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. CHESNEY, JOSEPH J. JR., 68, of Clearwater, died Sunday (Jan. 21, 2001) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was born in Philadelphia and came here in 1980 from Lansdowne, Pa. He was a retired desk clerk and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Marie T., Drexel Hill, Pa.; three sons, John J., Drexel Hill, Michael J. Swedesboro, N.J., and Matthew T. Sharon Hill, Pa.; a daughter, Joanne McDermott, Glenolden, Pa.; five grandsons; and a grand-daughter. Abbey Affordable Cremation & Funeral Services, Largo.

RITCH, AURETTA ALDYTH, 79, of Deltona, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (March 13, 2002) at home. Born in Cayman Brac, she came here in 1983 from Paris and moved to Deltona in 1998. She was a secretary for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Survivors include a sister, Greta Faye Hummerstone, Deltona; and a brother, Conrad Ritch, Vancouver, British Columbia. R. SAGRISTANO, PAUL, 82, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (March 13, 2002) at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he came here in 1985 from Long Island, N.Y. He was a brewer for more than 30 years, working at several breweries, including Schaffer Beer Co. in Brooklyn. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Locally, he was a member of Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary; a son, Cosmo; St. Petersburg; two sisters, Frances Castagnaro, Rochester, N.Y., and Lillian Safina, Long Island; two brothers, Nicholas, Cape Coral, and Gasper, Old Saybrook, Conn.; and three grandchildren.
