Mrs. Rose Bauccio

Rose Bauccio, 92, of Bradenton, passed away on September 3, 2014.

Rose is survived by 3 her children, Roseanne (Thomas) Andrews, George Raymond Bauccio, Debra Ann (Angel) Bonilla, daughter in law Patricia Bauccio, 4 grandchildren; Theresa, Adrienne, Logan, and Colin, and 3 great-grandchildren; Sarah, Skye, and Truman.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Bauccio Sr and son Michael Luke Bauccio.

Rose was a joyful and generous woman. She was grateful for her many blessings. She loved everyone and was loved in return. She also loved to play bingo with her friends at Riverfront Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Rose was very proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be Sunday, September 7th from 2:00 - 6:00pm at Shannon Funeral Home, 1015 14th Street W. Bradenton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 8th at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1220 15th Street W. Bradenton.

Rose will be laid to rest with her husband at Sarasota National Cemetery immediately following the services.

Mrs. Muriel A. Raeder

Muriel A. Raeder, 90, Bradenton, passed away peacefully August 29, 2014.

She was born icon on February 22, 1924 in Holyoke, MA to the late Wilfred and Lulu (Chase) Gehan.

She has resided in the Washington D.C. and Maryland area until 1996, when she moved into DeSoto Towers in Bradenton for the next ten years. She also volunteered at Manatee Memorial Hospital on the Front Information Desk and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and then later on residing with her daughter.

She is survived by her son, Lewis W. (Carol R.) Raeder of Monrovia, MD, daughter, Carol B. Haring of Bradenton, four grandchildren; Michael Haring of Bradenton, Lewis "Clint" Raeder of Charles Town, WV, Maria Raeder of Frederick, MD, Greg Raeder of Owings Mill, MD, and one great-grandchild.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or TideWell Hospice.

Mr. Kenneth J. Wagner

Kenneth J. Wagner, 34, of Palmetto passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. Originally from St. Petersburg, he moved to Terra Ceia at the age of 10 with his parents and sister. Ken graduated from Palmetto High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from USF in 2003. Ken joined BB&T in 2004 where he was an extremely motivated Mortgage Loan Officer, Vice President who loved helping others achieve their dream of buying a home. During his time with BB&T he won multiple awards including the Sterling Award and Purchase Pro Award.

Ken loved spending time on the water; boating, diving, fishing, and lobstering with his family and friends. He was a dynamic, entertaining, loving, caring, and outgoing individual who was full of enthusiasm and energy. He was the light in the dark, a shining star, and the catalyst of everyone’s laughter. He will truly be missed, but never ever forgotten. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Lindsey Porter Wagner; daughters, Hailey (5) and Sydney (3); parents, Stan & Kay Wagner; and sister Ariel (Jose Sarmiento). He also leaves his grandparents, David & Eleanor Wagner; aunts, Pat Gee, Pam Bingham & Janet Wagner and their families; In-laws, Chuck and Nancy Porter; sister-in-law, Heather (Joe Patoray); nephews, Christian (4), Kellan (1) Sarmiento & Lochlan Patoray (Godson, age 1); and many dear family members & friends.

There will be a celebration of Ken’s life Tuesday, September 2nd at Bayside Community Church located at 15800 East S.R. 64 in Bradenton, FL at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, we are asking those that feel willing, please make donations to The Ken Wagner Memorial Account at any BB&T towards his daughters’ college funds and/or to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Mr. John James Winchester

John James Winchester, 53 of Palmetto, Florida, passed away tragically August 21, 2014 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

John was born icon on June 29, 1961 in Tampa, Florida. He has been a lifelong resident of Florida and a resident of Manatee County for over 15 years. John worked as a construction worker for Woodruff & Sons Construction in Bradenton.

He was predeceased by his father, Henry H. Winchester and is survived by his longtime companion and Fiancée, Sandra Davis of Palmetto, mother and step-father; Linda and Robert Davis of Brooksville, FL, three brothers; Henry Winchester of Plant City, FL, Robert Winchester of Sumterville, FL, Clifford Jarvis of Suwannee, FL, two sisters; Dawn Smith and Idella Sharp both of Webster, FL, and many extended family members and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Jeffrey James Jamison

Jeffrey James Jamison, 24, Bradenton, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014.

Jeffrey was born icon on May 30, 1990 in Texarkana, Texas to the late Jeffrey Alan and Amie (Clark) Jamison. He has lived in Manatee County for several years and worked as a tattoo artist locally.

He is survived by his loving companion Julia Carter, daughter, Amie Jamison, step-son, Christian all of Terre Haute, Indiana sister, Kristin Jamison, brother, Joshua Jamison both of Bradenton, paternal grandparents; James and Janice Jamison of Foreman, Arkansas, maternal mother and step-father; Nancy and Melvin Clark of Bradenton, maternal grandfather, Troy Clark of California, and many extended family members and friends.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date and time.

Mr. Matthew J. Stella

Matthew James Stella, July 20, 1942-August 17, 2014. He was born icon in Jersey City, New Jersey. He has resided in Bradenton since 1972.

He is survived by his wife Jane M.C. Stella, 4 children ; Carrie Dawes, Kathleen Stella Wade, Timothy Stella and Kristin Stella and 4 grandchildren are Carly Stella (7), Alex (9), Joseph (7) and Timothy Hellesoe (2).

Matt Stella was a licensed real estate and mortgage broker. He loved to joke and laugh. He had a very creative and innovative mind. We will always miss his warm voice and caring heart. He was passionate about the old west and loved to travel there.

Private family services were held.

Mrs. Loretta M. Hughes

Loretta M. Hughes, 81 of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Poultney, VT, passed away August 14, 2014.

She was born icon August 31, 1932 in New London, CT to the late Phillip and Amelia (Pelliter) Goff. Loretta worked as a waitress in various restaurants in CT and attended the Poultney Welsh Presbyterian Church in Poultney.

She moved to Bradenton in January of 1986 coming from Poultney.

Loretta was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert in April of 2013, and is survived by her two daughters; Renee L. Fekete of Bradenton, FL, Monique Rowley-Samperi of Ashford, CT, two grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Niantic Fire Department, 8 Grand St., Niantic, CT 06357.

Mr. Chester Merle "Chet" Owens

Chet Owens, 95, passed away on August 8, 2014. Born February 14, 1919 in Buffalo IL and a long time resident of Bradenton.

Chet is survived by his wife of 69 yrs, Lucille, daughters; Bobbie Korneder, Kathy Ranck and son, Mike Owens, 9 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Sandy Sullivan, the oldest daughter, also a long time resident, died December 6, 2013.

Chet attended Johnson (Bible) University in Knoxville TN. A viewing will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 from 4 - 6pm with Services commencing at 6:00 at Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel, 5610 Manatee Ave W.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Johnson University, 7900 Johnson Dr. Knoxville TN 37998 or The Salvation Army.

Mr. Robert Steinmetz

Robert Steinmetz, 85, Bradenton, Florida, passed away August 13, 2014 at the TideWell Hospice House in Bradenton.

Mr. Steinmetz was born icon on October 8, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Helen (Witkowski) Steinmetz. Robert served his country faithfully by serving with the United States Navy.

He owned his own furniture manufacturing business in Manatee County was a member of the Unity of the Wood Church in Bradenton.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Ruth (Furnish) Steinmetz of Bradenton, one son and his wife; Robert and Stephanie Steinmetz of Elyria, Ohio, two daughters; Helen and her husband David Skjeie of Los Angeles, California, Beth Reichenbach of Bradenton, Florida, one brother and his wife; James G. and Marge Steinmetz of Cleveland, Ohio, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many extended family members and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
