Mrs. Eve J. McFadyen
Eve J. McFadyen, 85, Sarasota, died November 1, 2013.
She was born
in Union City, NJ on March 19, 1928. She lived and grew up in Brooklyn, NY and came to Sarasota in 1952.
Her first employment here was with the law firm of John Fite and Bill Robertson in the Palmer Bank building at Five Points as a legal secretary. She was also a medical secretary, greeting card merchandiser, and provider of child and elder care for many years.
She was a Christian and attended the First Baptist Church of Sarasota where she worked in the children’s department for many years.
She was predeceased by her parents Minnie and Fred Otten. Survived by her two children; James E. McFadyen, Jr. of Sarasota and Christine Trippe of Myakka City, grandson, James A. (Kelly) Trippe IV, great-grandson, James A. Trippe V both of Myakka, feline companion Sara and many close friends.
A Celebration of Eve’s life will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Sarasota, 1661 Main Street, Sarasota, FL. Private Committal services were held at the Manasota Memorial Park in Bradenton.
She will be missed by her loving family and friends.
Mr. Dean VanOrden DuBois
Dean VanOrden DuBois, 73 of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on November 2, 2013 at the Hope Hospice House in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Dean was born
on October 4, 1940 in Bradenton, Florida to the late John Van Orden and Lovisa Blanche (Dean) DuBois. He was reared in Manatee County and was a former longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bradenton. He lived in Cape Coral and worked as a computer specialist among other things. He was a member of the Family Life Fellowship in Cape Coral.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Gail (Johnson) Dubois of Cape Coral, two sons; John and Karen Dubois of Marietta, Georgia, Matthew and Tracey Dubois of Savannah, Texas, three daughters; Claudine and Greg Lovins of Boone, North Carolina, DeEtte and John Gray of Bethesda, Maryland, Danielle Southard of Trinity, North Carolina, two step-sons; Glenn and Alicia Reed of Brandon, Sgt. Scott and Kitt Reed of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, sister, Judy and Dave Osterholt of Ft. Myers, twelve grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Dean’s life will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Christ Lutheran Church, 2911 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral, Fl. Committal services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Chapel of Peace at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Rev. Charles L. Gray
Rev. Charles L. Gray, 72, Bradenton, passed away Nov. 4, 2013. He was born
on March 1, 1941 in Eddyville, KY to the late Walter S. & Gertrude L. (McDaniels) Gray.
He served his country faithfully during the Vietnam Era with the U.S. Army, serving two tours of duty and was the recipient of two purple hearts. Following his military service he graduated from the Baptist Bible Institute in Graceville, FL, and was ordained to preach the Gospel in 1990 in Libby, MT.
While living in MT he served with the Mission Corp of the Southern Baptist Convention for many years. He was instrumental in starting many churches in Montana. Rev. Gray moved to Florida in 1999 and served as Pastor of the Bay Haven Baptist Church in Sarasota, and was a member of the Southwest Baptist Association.
He was predeceased by three brothers; Dale, Eugene, and Gayle Gray, and one sister, Marie Traylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Lynell Hendry Gray of Bradenton, three sons; Duane (Kris) Gray of Sanford, FL, Jeff (Susan) Gray of Evansville, IN, Ray (Kristen) Sanders of Sarasota, FL, two daughters; Vickie (Sean) Quilty of Plano, TX, Angela (Ryan) Smith of Ona, FL, two brothers; Roger Gray of Nashville, TN, Don (Rhonda) Gray of Princeton, KY, three sisters; Shirley (Owen) Morse of Princeton, KY, Kay (Gerald) Boyd of Rockford, IN, Brenda (Mark) Engler of Fredonia, KY, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at Shannon Funeral Home Town Chapel, Bradenton, 1015 14th St. W., Bradenton. A celebration of Rev. Gray's life will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at Bethany Baptist Church, 26604 State Road 64 E., Myakka City with interment to follow at Bethany Cemetery with full military honors by the U.S. Army.

Ms. Kenyata Elizabeth Evans
Kenyata Elizabeth Evans, 21, Palmetto, passed away Nov. 3 2013 due to complications of AIDS that she has had since her birth. Kenyata was born
on September 18, 1992 in Sarasota, Florida and has been a lifelong resident of Manatee and Sarasota County. She is survived by her mother, Geraldene McIlveen Evans of Palmetto, ten adopted brothers and sisters, and many close friends. A celebration of life will be held for Kenyata will be held at a later date to be announced.
Mrs. Charlotte A. Rio
Charlotte Augusta Rio, 78, of Bradenton, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2013 at Blake Medical Center.
She was born
in Baltimore, Maryland and came to Bradenton from Chicago in 1955. She was a born-again Christian and attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Harold J. Rio. She is survived by her daughter, June (Steve) Campbell of St. Louis, Missouri, her son, Michael (Hayley) Rio of Ellenton, a brother, Thomas Salsberg of Baltimore, Maryland, grandchildren, Josh Rio (Leslie Shaw), Jenna Rio (Nick Winchell), Kristina Rio, Steve Campbell, Jr., Ryan Campbell, Katie Campbell, Maddux MacDonald, Calen MacDonald, Delanie MacDonald and Zoe Rio; one great-grandson, Greyson Shaw Rio.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7pm, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Bayside Community Church, 15800 E. State Road 64, Bradenton, FL. (Bayside is approximately 4.5 miles east of Interstate 75 on SR 64.) A balloon release and a dessert social will follow the service.
Charlotte always believed in “paying it forward” and was always cooking and baking for family and friends.

Mr. Keith R. Thompson
Keith R. Thompson, 71, Ellenton, passed away Feb. 5, 2014. He was born
Aug. 24, 1942 in Youngs Bottom, WV, and moved to Manatee County in 1962.
He worked for Publix and Winn Dixie as a meat cutter.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Mae of Ellenton, sons; Robert and Mike of Bradenton, brother, Larry (Linda) of Bradenton, aunt, Janet Newhouse of Elksview, WV.
There will be no services. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to TideWell Hospice in his memory.
Mr. James Edgar Boleyn
Boleyn, James Edgar “Eddie”, passed away at his home Sunday morning, February 2, 2014.
Eddie was born
May 18, 1956 in Cincinnati Ohio to Edgar and Mattie Boleyn. He leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years, Deven, beloved mother Mattie, brother Bobby (Paulette), niece Rachael and several cousins. He is predeceased by his father Edgar and sister Lola Fay.
His family moved to Sarasota Fl in 1966. He attended Sarasota High, traveled with the circus before joining the Army in 1975. He was stationed in Korea. He also went to Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. He retired after 30 years in the Army. He was very patriotic and loved his country.
Eddie enjoyed being with family and friends and always cooking something in the kitchen. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, feeding the horses, hanging at the gazebo, feeding the fish and playing with Paisley. He especially enjoyed indulging and spoiling his wife. He never met a stranger. He loved telling jokes and pulling pranks. He was very quick-witted and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He will be missed by many friends, family and especially his loving wife.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 11:00am at Eastside Church of Christ, 5400 Sawgrass Rd. Sarasota. Please dress casual and bring a chair. In honor of Eddie, make someone laugh.

Mrs. Patricia J. Cameron
Patricia Jean “Patty” Cameron, born
in Minneapolis, MN on April 10, 1931 to Patrick and Loralyn (Jolliffe) Collins; passed in to the care of our Saviour Monday, February 3, 2014; preceded by the compassionate support of Tidewell Hospice, Bradenton.
Patty was a long time resident of Warminster, PA. She graduated with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She developed a CPA firm specializing in tax related problems. Patty was an advocate of women’s rights and an early supporter of NOW. Patty was a financial advisor to Governor Milton Shapp, to the Speaker The Honorable Jim Wright, and to Governor Ann Richards.
Patty later achieved notable success in banking; was the only female selected by President Reagan’s “Committee of Eight”. (Assembled to solving national banking problems.) Patty’s achievements also included financial advisor to Spokane, Washington’s successful EXPO in 1974. Patty’s entrepreneurial spirit and business savvy led to many adventures throughout the country developing and running several successful businesses alongside her husband of 40+ years.
Patty is survived by her husband John James Cameron, brother Michael Collins, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Rest in Peace Patty. We love you.
Mr. Charles W. Boisvert
USN-Retired
Charles W. Boisvert, USN-Retired, 88, Parrish, FL passed away Feb. 3, 2014. He was born
Feb. 10, 1925 in Niagara Falls, NY. He served with the U.S. Navy as a torpedo man during WWII retiring with over 19 years of service. He moved to Manatee County, FL in 1973 and worked for Coastal Oil at the Port of Manatee for over 10 years as a safety engineer. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 9226 in Ellenton, FL, American Legion Post 24 of Bradenton, FL, Elks Lodge of Palmetto, FL, Moose Lodge of Bradenton, FL, and the U.S. Submarine Veterans Association.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor, and is survived by his two sons; Don of Taunton, MA, Robert of Lakewood, WA, daughter, Cindy Groover of Myakka City, FL, two brothers; Russell Greenwood of Danville, KY, Lester Greenwood of Alexandra, NH, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, special companion, Liz Ruel of Parrish, FL, and many extended family members and friends. Committal services will be held later this Spring at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA with full final honors by the U.S. Navy.
