Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Edith Burney, Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Pennie D. Lee, Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, James W. Burney; and sister, Flara Tillis, both of Palatka, FL. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Steve Lee, 2 brothers, and his mother and father.
Friends may call on Sunday, February 23, 2003, 2:00-3:00 P.M. at Bethel Baptist Church. Services will be at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Doyle Berry officiating. Graveside Services will be held Monday, February 24, 2003, 2:30 P.M. at Etoniah Baptist Church Cemetery, Palatka, FL.

Daniel Henry Butts, Jr., 71, died on July 8, 2002 in at home in Fort Pierce, Florida following a lengthy illness.Mr. Butts came to Fort Pierce in 1995 from Wareham, Massachusetts. He spent most of his life in Sassaquin, New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Mr. Butts served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was an avid sports fan. He retired from the J.J. Taylor Miller Distributor Company and was Past President of the Greater New Bedford Package Store Assoc.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elsie Balsofiore, sister Lillian Del Ponte of Warwick, RI and several nieces and nephews.
