Suzanne M. Coyle

Suzanne M. Coyle of Gainesville died Monday in Gainesville following an extended illness. She was 46.

Mrs. Coyle was born in Fall River, Mass., and moved to Gainesville from Miami 21 years ago. She was a sales associate at Wal-Mart and loved gardening, plants, herbs, electronics and pets. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Coyle of Gainesville; three daughters, Michelle Sullivan Heilig, Kelly Sullivan Heilig and Willow Coyle, all of Gainesville; four sons, Shawn Sullivan of Gainesville, David Coyle of Gainesville, Jesse Coyle of Trenton and Sam Coyle of Bell; her mother, Christine Dallaire of Williston; a brother, Art Dallaire of Williston; and a sister, Catherine Robinson of Williston.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 500 NE 16th Ave.

Kathryn Morrison Hale

LAKE CITY -- Kathryn Morrison Hale of Lake City died Sunday at the home of her daughter following an extended illness. She was 76.

Mrs. Hale was born in Memphis, Tenn., and moved to Lake City in 1938. She graduated from Columbia High School, where she was a band member. She was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church, the Columbia County Quarterback Club and the Golden Tiger Boosters.

Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. "Billy" Hale. Survivors include a brother, Charles Sanford Morrison of Roanake Rapids, N.C.; a daughter, Ann Caltrider of Lake City; three sons, Morrison Hale, Richard Hale and Billy Hale Jr., all of Lake City; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to Hospice of Northeast Florida, the American Cancer Society or Epiphany Catholic Church.

Guy Williams Jr.

CEDAR KEY -- Guy Williams Jr. of Cedar Key died Saturday in Ocala. He was 77.

Mr. Williams was born in Ellzey and lived in Cedar Key most of his life. He worked as a brickmason in Gainesville, was a charter member of the Moose Club of Gainesville, a member of the Singles Club and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Cedar Key United Methodist Church.

Mr. Williams is survived by several cousins.

Paul Harrison Graham

Paul Harrison Graham of High Springs died Friday at Shands at the University of Florida after a sudden illness.

He was 69.

Mr. Graham was a retired U.S. Border Patrol agent.

He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, he moved to High Springs 19 years ago.

He belonged to the National Rifle Association, the William Carlton Masonic Lodge 46 in Trenton, the Morocco Temple in Jacksonville and the Suwannee River Shrine Club, where he served as a past master.

He also belonged to the Riverside Baptist Church in Branford, where he was a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Graham of High Springs; his son, Paul Mason Graham of Jacksonville; three daughters, Ann Graham, Jeannie Cook and Judy Strickland, all of Jacksonville; two sisters, Cleo Frey of Mountain View, Ark., and Anita Cleveland of Sevierville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Bus Ministry at Riverside Baptist Church.

Harold Lee "Tray" Minnix III

WALDO - Harold Lee "Tray" Minnix III of Waldo died Friday at his home. He was 4-1/2 months old.

Master Minnix was born in Gainesville and lived in Waldo.

Survivors include his parents, Harold Lee Minnix Jr. and Nancy L. Minnix of Waldo; his sister, Ciara Minnix of Hawthorne; his paternal grandparents, Harold Lee Minnix Sr. and Doris Minnix, both of Waldo, and Gail Minnix of Melrose; his maternal grandmother, Helen Matthews of Chiefland; his paternal great-grandmothers, Ivory Minnix of Waldo and Bee Blevins of Bluefield, Va.; and his maternal great-grandmothers, Daphine Matthews and Leona Williams, both of Chiefland.

Fannie Mae Harris Strawder

FORT WHITE - Fannie Mae Harris Strawder of Fort White died Thursday at her daughter's home in Fort White. She was 96.

Mrs. Strawder was a home- maker.

Born in Montgomery, Ala., she moved from Alabama to Fort White 87 years ago.

She was home schooled by her father.

Mrs. Strawder belonged to the Galilee Baptist Church, where she served as a secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Oscar Strawder Sr., and her son, Kinneth Strawder.

Survivors include three sons, Oscar Strawder Jr. and Eugene Strawder, both of Fort White, and Jasper Strawder of Miami; and five daughters, Arlivia Hodge, Bertha Phillips and Leander Bennett, all of Fort White, Rutha Mae Cheeley of Safety Harbor and Mildred S. Brown of High Springs.

Earl B. Beck

Earl B. Beck of Gainesville died Wednesday at his daughter's home in Gainesville. He was 88.

Mr. Beck was a farmer.

Born in Levy County, he moved from Bronson to Gainesville five years ago.

Survivors include a daughter, Earlene Arnett of Gainesville; a son, Wilford E. Beck of Macclenny; two brothers, John Smith of Bronson and Ernest Smith of Chiefland; a sister, Elizabeth Crosby of Chiefland; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Sally Murray Brooks

WILLISTON -- Sally Murray Brooks of Williston died Thursday in Stuart after a long illness. She was 66.

Mrs. Brooks was a retired graphic designer for the University of Florida College of Liberal Arts.

Born in Boynton Beach, she moved from Romeo to Williston 49 years ago.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Williston.

Mrs. Brooks enjoyed oil painting and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Leitch Brooks.

Survivors include a son, Capt. Gene Brooks of New London, Conn.; two daughters, Kathleen Brooks Ruby of Palm City and Helen Brooks of Keystone Heights; a brother, Phillip Murray of Aransas Pass, Texas; and six grandchildren.

David Branning

ARCHER -- David Branning of Archer died Monday in Williston after a long illness. He was 73.

Mr. Branning was a maintenance man at the University of Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Born in Cross City, he lived most of his life in Archer.

He was a Baptist.

Mr. Branning volunteered at the Archer Community Center.

Survivors include two nieces, Candy Shaw of High Springs and Shirley Sykes of Archer; and a nephew, Bobby Shaw of High Springs.

Eunice McClellan Johnson

Eunice McClellan Johnson of Gainesville died Wednesday at Shands at AGH after a short illness. She was 66.

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.

She was a lifelong resident of Gainesville and a 1951 graduate of Lincoln High School.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth McClellan of Gainesville and Reginald McClellan of Titusville; two daughters, Debra McClellan and Lynette Johnson, both of Gainesville; a brother, Richard A. McClellan of Gainesville; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jo Ann Massie

LIVE OAK -- Jo Ann Massie of Live Oak died Wednesday at her home after a long illness. She was 64.

Mrs. Massie was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in McAlpin.

Born in Hopewell, Va., she moved from Deerfield Beach to Live Oak five years ago.

Survivors include her husband, Earston Massie of Live Oak; a daughter, Jodi Massie of Live Oak; four sons, Michael Dean Massie of Fort Lauderdale, David Talmage Massie of West Palm Beach, Mark Owen Massie of Clewiston and Dickie Massie of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Elton Joseph Powers of Coral Springs; and six grandchildren.

James Thomas

CHIEFLAND -- James Thomas of Chiefland died May 21 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after a short illness. He was 58.

Mr. Thomas was a retired logging laborer.

Born in Kimborough, Ala., he lived most of his life in Chiefland.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Vera M. Thomas of Chiefland; three daughters, Beverly Thomas of Chiefland, Shenondra Thomas of Gainesville and Kathleen Tucker of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Clint Thomas and Marco Thomas, both of Chiefland, and Bryant Hodge of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Barbara Dexter of Gainesville; two stepsons, Leroy Dexter of Chester, Ga., and Andrew Lee of Ocala; five sisters, Gracie B. McRary, Norita Sams, Marcia Banks, Edith Sams and Donna Sams, all of Columbus; three brothers, Eddie B. Thomas of Durham, N.C., Willie Sams of Columbus and Willie Thomas of Pinehill, Ala.; and four grandchildren.

Robert James Bradley Sr.

LAKE BUTLER -- Robert James Bradley Sr. of Lake Butler died Wednesday at Hospice of Gainesville after a long illness. He was 81.

Mr. Bradley was a retired landscaper.

Born in Belleview, he moved from Belleview to Lake Butler 52 years ago.

Survivors include a son, Robert J. Bradley Jr. of Leesburg; two stepsons, David Dillard of Alachua and Roy Dillard of Gainesville; three stepdaughters, Clinnie Price and Bereatha Johnson, both of Gainesville, and Louise Cooper of Buffalo, N.Y.; and 27 grandchildren.
