John H. Neidert of Gainesville died Wednesday at Hospice House of Gainesville. He was 90.
Mr. Neidert was an electrical engineer for Sperry Electronics Tube Division.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, he moved from Long Island, N.Y., to Gainesville 43 years ago.
He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas in Austin, where he was a member of the honor societies Etta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi.
Mr. Neidert was a member of Audio Engineering Society and was a secretary of the Long Island Institute of Radio Engineers.
He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Beville Hardee Neidert of Gainesville; a son, James J. Neidert of Gainesville; a stepdaughter, Annette Hardee Swearingen of Alachua; a stepson, Sam F. Hardee III of Bradenton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mary Rubye Taylor
Mary Rubye Taylor of Gainesville died Thursday at her home after a brief illness. She was 95.
Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker.
Born in Macon, Ga., she moved from Georgia to Gainesville about 75 years ago.
She was a member of North Central Baptist Church, Older Americans Council, Knights of Pythian and a quilting club.
She enjoyed crocheting little bookmarkers called "bookworms."
Survivors include four daughters, Betty Edminster, Sara Todd, Maggie Zimmerman and Martha Jane Green, all of Gainesville; a sister, Sara Mae Nicholson of Gainesville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Isadoor D. Webb
Isadoor D. Webb of Gainesville died May 31 in Gainesville after he was hit by a Boone Waste Industries truck near his home in Arredondo Farms. He was 6.
Isadoor was a kindergartner at Wiles Elementary School.
Survivors include his mother, Chenika Williams of Gainesville; his father, Isadoor D. Webb Sr. of Gainesville; his adoptive parents, Arthur and Sheila Thomas of Gainesville; a brother, Arthur Thomas Jr. of Gainesville; two sisters, Kei-Wanda Prim and ShaCora Thomas, both of Gainesville; his grandmothers, Shirley Fields and Marie Hagins, both of Archer; two grandfathers, Harry Fields of Archer and Arthur Thomas of Gainesville; two great-grandmothers, Caldonia Fields and Versea Rhim, both of Archer; and one great-grandfather, Mannie Fields of Archer.

T.B. Graham Jr. of Gainesville died May 28 at Gainesville Health and Rehab Center after a long illness. He was 59.
Mr. Graham was a logger.
Born in Otter Creek, Mr. Graham moved to Gainesville about 40 years ago.
Survivors include five sisters, Rosie Alston, Betty McReynolds, Willie D. Mayes, Mamie Lovette and Jacqueline Gent, all of Gainesville; and two brothers, Mack Arthur Graham and Hubert Graham, both of Gainesville
Jessie Mae Roberson Henderson
GROVE PARK -- Jessie Mae Roberson Henderson of Grove Park died May 27 at her daughter's home in Gainesville after a brief illness. She was 79.
Mrs. Henderson was a clothes presser.
Born in Baton Rouge, La., she moved from Perry to Grove Park about 60 years ago.
She was a mother of the church at St. Peter Full Gospel Baptist Church of Grove Park.
Survivors include three daughters, Sylvia Stephenson of Panama City, Thelma Mills of Gainesville and Gloria Lewis of Bushnell; five sons, Frank Brown of Los Angeles, David Augustus, Eugene Scott and Eddie Scott, all of Gainesville, and Damon Augustus of Douglasville, Texas; two sisters, Lucille Gregoire of Rialto, Calif., and Mittie Jackson of Carson, Calif.; a brother, Dozier Holmes of St. Petersburg; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Samuel Larkin Sr.
Samuel Larkin Sr. of Gainesville died May 28 at North Florida Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was 67.
Mr. Larkin retired from the U.S. Army.
Born in Newberry, he moved from Columbia, S.C., to the Gainesville area 25 years ago.
He was a member of Mount Zura Full Gospel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Larkin of Gainesville; his mother, Joanna Clifton of Newberry; four sons, Marquis A. Larkin of Warrenburg, Mo., Richard A. Larkin of Jacksonville, Samuel Larkin Jr. and Ronald E. Larkin, both of Atlanta; two daughters, Vicky C. Haynes of Hinesville, Ga., and Jacqueline Graham of El Paso, Texas; five brothers, Johnnie Larkin of Yankas, N.Y., Frank Clifton, Binard Larkin and Henry Larkin, all of Gainesville, and Tony Larkin of Newberry; a sister, Minister Annie Lee of Gainesville; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Beatrice Williams
ALACHUA -- Beatrice Williams of Alachua died May 27 in High Springs after a long illness. She was 78.
Mrs. Williams was retired from Copeland Sausage. Born in Quitman, Ga., she moved from Quitman to Alachua 70 years ago. She was a member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bishopcq Williams; and a daughter, Annie L. Jackson.
Survivors include a brother, Joe Raines of Tampa; three sisters, Annie M. Duval of Alachua, Jennie Lee Bell of Quitman and Lillie K. Bowers of Reddick; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
John Ivory Brown
ALACHUA -- John Ivory Brown of Alachua died May 27 at Integrated Health Services in Gainesville after a short illness. He was 86.
Mr. Brown retired as a railroad worker for Seaboard Coastline and later worked in construction.
Born in Hague, he was a lifelong resident of the area.
Survivors include his wife, Sallie M. Brown of Alachua; a son, Johnny L. Brown of Alachua; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Glenn Stephen Wade
STARKE -- Glenn Stephen Wade of Starke died Thursday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. He was 76.
Mr. Wade was a retired foreman for DuPont Chemical Co. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Ludlow.
Born in Linden, he moved to Starke 51 years ago. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 35 F&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie S. Wade of Starke; a son, Stephen Wade of Gainesville; two daughters, Glenda Wade Hawkins of Greensboro and Paula Wade Aldrich of Flat Rock, N.C.; two brothers, Richard Spurgeon Wade of Ocala and Jerry Wade of Panama City; four sisters, Edna Story of Green Cove Springs, Mary Everett and Lottie Goodson, both of Linden, and June Norman of Keystone Heights; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Irma Elizabeth Scott
HAWTHORNE -- Irma Elizabeth Scott of Hawthorne died Monday at her home. She was 83.
Mrs. Scott was a retired director of nursing at Sunland Training Center, now Tacachale.
Born in Reidsville, N.C., she moved from Gainesville to Hawthorne more than 40 years ago. She received a nursing degree in North Carolina. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Johnson.
Survivors include four daughters, Rebecca Cole, Ellen Nayar, Martha Scott and Isabell Scott; two sons, Penn Scott and Michael Scott; two brothers, Rufus Pearson and Jack Pearson; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Glen Blackwelder
MICANOPY -- Glen Blackwelder of Micanopy died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. He was 63.
Mr. Blackwelder was a logger in the timber business.
Born in Union County, he lived most of his life in Union and Alachua counties before moving to Micanopy 20 years ago.
Survivors include three daughters, Deanne Smith of Micanopy and Ethel McGhee and Sandra K. Blackwelder, both of Lake Park, Ga.; two brothers, Sam Blackwelder of Worthington Springs and W.O. Blackwelder of Middleburg; a sister, Syble Register of Lake City; and five grandchildren.
Hilda Olivia Chambers
ALACHUA -- Hilda Olivia Chambers of Alachua died Wednesday at Shands at AGH in Gainesville. She was 79.
Mrs. Chambers was a retired lunchroom manager at Alachua and Santa Fe high schools.
She was a lifelong resident of Alachua.
Mrs. Chambers was a member of of First Presbyterian Church of Alachua and the Florida Food Service Association and was an honorary member of Santa Fe Future Farmers of America Chapter.
Survivors include her husband, J.C. Chambers of Alachua; two sons, Jerry Mac Chambers of Brunswick, Ga., and Ronald C. Chambers of Lake City; a daughter, Sandra Steele of Alachua; two sisters, Dorothy Louise Douglas and Ollie Mae Cannon, both of Hague; seven granddaughters; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Violet Cook Griffis
CHIEFLAND -- Violet Cook Griffis of Chiefland died Wednesday at her home. She was 79.
Mrs. Griffis was a retired school bus driver for Alachua County.
Born in Levy County, she was a lifelong resident of the area.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chiefland.
Mrs. Griffis enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Hagan.
Survivors include three sons, Bud Hagan of Alachua, Don Hagan of Bell and David Hagan of Newberry; four daughters, Barbara Fort of Mitchell, Ontario, Canada, Velma Mikell of Bell, Lynette Cox of Arabi, Ga., and Denicecq Edwards of High Springs; a stepson, Jack Bozarth of Tampa; two stepdaughters, Glenda Polk of Alachua and Mary Sue Hunter of Bronson; two brothers, S.P. Cook and Earl Cook, both of Bronson; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
